Lizabeth is a descendant of the People of the Water, denoted by her necklace and bracelet, pieces forged likely from the same crystals making up the Sea Crown of Samiya. She is the star of the Marina Underwater Pokémon Show, as part of the Marina Group, which consists of the rest of her family.
She is one of the few women Brock has met that actually likes him in return.

In the games
Lizabeth makes a cameo appearance in Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum on Route 220 as a Swimmer using Buizel, Medicham, and Seaking, all of which were Pokémon used during the Marina Underwater Pokémon Show. However, this Easter egg was not recognized by the translation team, who named her Katelyn.
