Trivia
- No other Pokémon has the same type-combination as Galvantula and its pre-evolution.
- Similarly, no other Pokémon has a base stat total of 472.
- Bachuru and Galvantula are the only Pokémon capable of having the Unnerve ability that do not have it as their hidden ability.
Origin
Galvantula is based on a tarantula, or a jumping spider.
Name origin
Galvantula is a portmanteau of the words galvanization and tarantula. Dentula is likely a combination of 電気 denki, electricity, or 電柱 denchū, lightpole, and タランチュラ taranchura, tarantula. May also tie in with chū, an alternate reading of 虫 mushi, meaning bug.
