Trivia
- According to Game Freak, Vanilluxe and its evolutionary relatives were created by James Turner.[1]
- Vanilluxe is tied with Lapras for the highest base stat total of all non-legendary Ice-type Pokémon.
Origin
Vanilluxe is based on an ice cream cone with snow for scoops and icicles for the waffle cone. The swirls that form the top of its heads make Vanilluxe reminiscent of a 99 Flake, which is the most likely source of inspiration given that this Pokémon was designed by Briton James Turner. It's boat-like body and two "scoop" heads may indicate a banana split. Vanilluxe has bits of ice on it that look like bits of nuts. It also has a straw- or rolled wafer-like appendage, bringing ice cream sodas to mind.
Name origin
Vanilluxe may be a combination of vanilla and deluxe.
Baivanilla may be a combination of bi (prefix meaning two) or 倍 bai (double) and vanilla.
