baby text follow up
So, the new updated baby Template:Cardtext/Baby template you mentioned me does not support this card. Thought I'd let you know! :) MannedTooth (Talk) 13:40, 14 September 2016 (UTC)
- UPDATE: It won't support any of the babies of Aquapolis. MannedTooth (Talk) 14:11, 14 September 2016 (UTC)
- I have addressed this issue one year ago Sunday, and we will get to it. MaverickNate 15:02, 14 September 2016 (UTC)
card infobox print
Shouldn't the card shown in the info box of this card be the most recent one (EX Power Keepers) ? It has the same code in the same order than this one, which shows the most recent one. How do you do that? MannedTooth (Talk) 15:55, 15 September 2016 (UTC)
- It cycles on a timer. glikglak 17:10, 15 September 2016 (UTC)
CP6
Hi. I was just wondering for the cards from the Expansion Pack 20th Anniversary subset, are we redirecting to the original Base Set article or creating a new article? — Ruixiang95 20:53, 15 September 2016 (UTC)
- Only reprints are ever redirected to their original article. If the card features any gameplay-differing differences, then it is considered a brand new card. If the card plays the same as its retro print, then it should be redirected to the Original Era card, as it is only then considered a reprint. MaverickNate 20:59, 15 September 2016 (UTC)
- Actually, may I know the difference between Charmeleon (Base Set 24) and Charmeleon (Expansion Pack 20th 10)? And if so, may I request to have a check on the CP6 articles I recently created and delete accordingly? — Ruixiang95 21:04, 15 September 2016 (UTC)
- All the articles you've created so far are fine. Kakuna has a different attack effect for Stiffen, causing the attack to play differently. Mew has an Ability instead of a Pokémon Power, which makes the Expansion Pack 20th Anniversary Mew interact with cards like Garbodor while the Original Era Mew would not. Koffing is Psychic type and not Grass type, making it interact with different cards' Weaknesses and Resistances. Charmeleon's attack damages are different. Honestly I'm expecting there to be far fewer exact reprints than brand new cards. I was actually pretty surprised when I looked at Caterpie and realized they were the same. MaverickNate 21:13, 15 September 2016 (UTC)
- So apparently, only Caterpie and Weedle are exact reprints. I have make a mistake on Hitmonchan (Expansion Pack 20th 60) and realized that they are two different cards, because of the HP and attack damages. I may have accidentally blanked the article, and I apologize for any inconvenience caused. — Ruixiang95 04:26, 16 September 2016 (UTC)
- Not a problem! Thanks for seeing something happen with the other cards and coming to me to ask about it! MaverickNate 09:19, 16 September 2016 (UTC)

TCG vs tt template
So, while I understand the uses of when we link a Ppkémon to its TCG card page when talking about the card name, but can you explain this edit ? I would like to know why we shouldn't use the tt template instead, it makes it read as Search your deck for a card that evolves from this Pokémon which is more than accurate. Anyway, I've undone this one too in case it should stay like it was. I'm waiting for your input on this ! :) MannedTooth (Talk) 01:17, 25 September 2016 (UTC)
- A card that evolves from Vulpix won't only evolve from the specific EX Hidden Legends Vulpix, but any card printed with the name Vulpix. Thus, that reference isn't only talking about that specific card and is linked accordingly. MaverickNate 01:21, 25 September 2016 (UTC)
adding merchandise
Let's say that I want to add merchandise to the page that doesn't have it. For example this one. How shall I proceed? Because I saw that many were missing. MannedTooth (Talk) 00:58, 26 September 2016 (UTC)
- Find the appropriate Series of merchandise it belongs to, along with any relevant news stories, tweets, and images on Bulbanews and Archives. Post it chronologically with all of those links on the merchandise page, with a paragraph or two that includes all there is to know about the products and any exclusive merch inside them, written in such a way that makes the prose for that section distinct from the ones before it. (That page for this set of tins would be this one.) Give the section any relevant subsections like Promo cards and Product images. MaverickNate 01:28, 27 September 2016 (UTC)
- The XY BREAK Series merchandise page is at least 30 products behind, so as with everything, it is preferred slash advised that as many are posted in as few edits as possible rather than adding each individual product one by one. MaverickNate 01:31, 27 September 2016 (UTC)
template modification
This template needs to be updated to accept at least 16 cards (15 current) in order to add every print of this card. MannedTooth (Talk) 15:03, 27 September 2016 (UTC)
- You're probably working on this at the very moment, but just to let you know, you forgot a "|" after the line
| style="display:none;" |* and so for every line after a 3rd consecutive print (so 4, 7, 10, 13, 16, 19, etc.) MannedTooth (Talk) 20:32, 27 September 2016 (UTC)
Viewing articles in a cross-section of categories
Hey man, been awhile. I just started a desk job where I have a fair amount of down time, so I figure I'll do a little work in my free time. Anyway, quick question that I should know the answer to: is there anywhere I can put in two or more categories and see all the article that are in both/all of said categories? Thanks. --Politoed666 21:25, 27 September 2016 (UTC)
- Hey there! Glad to see you back! From what I can tell, I don't think this exists. I looked into the Special pages too, and don't see anything that looks like it will do what you want. Sorry I can't be any help! MaverickNate 23:46, 27 September 2016 (UTC)
- A relatively simple solution would be to do two searches and exclude one from the other. Like search for incategory:"Mythical Pokémon" and then incategory:"Generation VI Pokémon" -incategory:"Mythical Pokémon". Tiddlywinks (talk) 00:05, 28 September 2016 (UTC)
Quick question!
Hi! I'm fairly new here, and while flipping through random pages to look for things that need editing, I noticed that the image we have for EX Legend Maker Aron has some sort of funky scuff mark (maybe pen?) near the 20 for Headbutt's damage. Is there a way we could get a better image? Is there someone else I should notify to get a better picture? (If I had the card I would scan it myself but alas...) I'm still finding my way around here so thanks for any help! Terra Antiqua (talk) 21:54, 7 October 2016 (UTC)
Evolutions
I mean, I don't want to direct traffic to the TCG without your consent :P ..but I knew about the hatnote, which I think is just fine for those who type in "Evolution" and expect to land at the TCG expansion. And it's really hard for me to imagine how someone typing in "Evolutions" is that much more likely to look for the concept rather than the expansion that a hatnote is the way to go. I was actually torn between a disambiguation and a redirect to the TCG (and another hatnote there). So, are you really sure? Or is there maybe something more to it, something I'm missing? Nescientist (talk) 23:11, 1 November 2016 (UTC)
- I try my best to avoid disambiguations, so I've redirect Evolutions to the expansion and added new hatnotes there. MaverickNate 08:16, 3 November 2016 (UTC)
Hyper Rares.
Just a quick question to be sure. For the purpose of the Full Art card page, the new Hyper Rares count as Full Arts, right? Or will they be considered something else? Metalizard (talk) 19:13, 13 December 2016 (UTC)
- Yeah. I think it is fine to say that they are. MaverickNate 22:48, 13 December 2016 (UTC)
SM001 Sun & Moon
Hi. Just wondering if I'm good to go or would you want to upload the images before I do the edits. Just to inform you, I have already done ALL the Pokémon (excluding Trainer/GX/Rare Secret/Rare Ultra/Hyper Rare), all I need is to press submit for all of them. And for Cosmog, Cosmoem, and Eevee having the Collection Sun and Collection Moon Pokédex entries differences and the English entries having use the Pokémon Sun Dex entries. Should I put as "Sun & Moon/Collection Sun prints" or "Sun & Moon print"? And they have made changes of "his or her hand" into "their" hand, should I just leave it with "their" on the article? — Ruixiang95 09:24, 22 January 2017 (UTC)
- I won't be getting to scans anytime soon, so they are good to go as is. Change all instances to "their" since that is what is written as the cardtext now. Follow the precedence listed on Slurpuff (Generations RC20); list "Pokédex entry (Sun & Moon print)" and "Pokédex entry (Collection Moon print)". MaverickNate 17:32, 22 January 2017 (UTC)
- I know we will be diverting to Category:Holofoil cards soon, so should I add that or Category:Holographic cards now to the Holofoil of Sun & Moon. Currently doing the items so I thought I asked. — Ruixiang95 01:55, 23 January 2017 (UTC)
- Category:Holographic cards is fine for now. MaverickNate 02:46, 23 January 2017 (UTC)
- So should I leave Nest Ball and Rotom Dex in the Holofoil category currently, because if not, that would make Holofoil be an empty Category article. Also, is the four Rare Secret ITEMS in Sun & Moon just Holographic and Secret or Full art as well since I saw Glik putting Full art in also? Thanks. — Ruixiang95 03:08, 23 January 2017 (UTC)
- Category:Holographic cards is fine for now. MaverickNate 02:46, 23 January 2017 (UTC)

Pokemon-GX page
Hey there. I don't know if you've seen my last response in my Talk page but I just finished the page: Pokémon-GX. Check it to see if everything is okay. Metalizard (talk) 18:08, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
- It looks really good! Thank you! I appreciate the work you put into the TCG here. MaverickNate 21:12, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
- Cool, man. Glad you liked it. btw, I wanted to ask you about something else. The last time I updated the Full Art card page, I added the recent UR Double Colorless Energy from SM1+ to the list, however, first, I don't know if it is supposed to be considered a Full Art and second, if it is, I'm guessing the template has to be updated (or there's a way to do it and I don't know) cause I can't make it to show the entry for the card properly (namely, it shows the fire energy symbol by default instead of the colorless energy symbol after the 'E'). I ended up hiding the entry in the code for now. Metalizard (talk) 21:45, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
- I'll look into it sometime soon. MaverickNate 06:42, 30 January 2017 (UTC)
Note that needs to be modified
These cards' foot note must be modified to make the last sentence (the one in parantheses) italic. MannedTooth (Talk) 20:32, 14 February 2017 (UTC)
2016 World Championships Decks
I created them in my usersapce, as I wasn't sure whether I should mainspace them without pictures. Also, I don't know whether it should be "Bebe" or "Bebe Deck". I was hoping maybe you could continue from there!? Nescientist (talk) 13:38, 25 March 2017 (UTC)
- To make life easier, and because I believe those are by TPCi (I'm new to this), you (or any other TCG staff) might be able to grab images from here: 1 2 3 4.
- Also, links to the created pages are here: 1 2 3 4. Thanks. Nescientist (talk) 21:40, 9 April 2017 (UTC)
- I'll do that right away! Good job on the deck pages! Sorry I missed this. Keep up the good work! MaverickNate 23:07, 9 April 2017 (UTC)
Sun & Moon Expansion 3
If it's okay with you, I have made a page about To Have Seen The Battle Rainbow/Darkness That Consumes Light. There was a picture with the card packs, with one featuring Ho-Oh, the other featuring Necrozma. It also shows the release date for its debut in Japan, along with the number 150. I'm not sure if that's the total amount of the cards in the set.
Also, I saw said picture online.--Hamfart 17:55, 27 March 2017 (UTC)
- Nice! Thank you! MaverickNate 23:07, 9 April 2017 (UTC)
Regarding TCG cards that have different effects in different languages
Hello, Maverick Nate. I have noticed that several cards like this Grimer have differences between the English and Japanese release. I was wondering if it would be alright to create a category to note these cards. --Super goku (talk) 22:26, 11 April 2017 (UTC)
- I think that a category for now would be acceptable. MaverickNate 22:29, 11 April 2017 (UTC)
TFG conditions.
Not sure if it's good idea to link Duel figures to that article, since paralysis works differently than in TFG (for reference, it now always chooses the smallest non-miss piece and turns it into Miss; this will affect all instances of that piece like the four dodges on Metagross). Should I add the conditions/markers that are in Duel or would that be better suited for a separate article? Eridanus (talk) 22:48, 11 April 2017 (UTC)
- Looking at it, I think a separate page at Special Conditions (Duel) would be better suited for this situation. Otherwise, I'm not the person taking charge of this side game, given that I haven't ever played it, I'm simply filling in the jname and jtrans for attacks and Abilities. It may be worth asking MisterE13 for his opinion, as he is the user taking charge of this side game. That being said, if you could add the jname and jtrans for Dodge and Miss going forward, I would appreciate it. They are |jname=ミス|jtrans=Miss for Miss and |jname=かわす|jtrans=Dodge for Dodge. Pokémon Legend image link
https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/File:Pok%C3%A9mon_LEGEND.png
I noticed on this page that most if not all pages that are noted to link to the image do not contain a link or even the image itself on their pages. Most of the card pages are from the Delta Species era of the TCG. Whereas cards such as Lugia which do use and link to the image are not listed as linking to that image. Is this an error or did I miss something when looking through the card pages? Frozen Fennec 17:43, 8 June 2017 (UTC)
- You'll want to take a look at the full list over here. Your list is only showing the 100 pages created the longest ago. All the LEGENDS appear at the bottom of the total pages, since their era is after the initial creation of all the EX Series pages. Other than that, I believe the other pages are simply using an old template that is being phased out anyway, so there shouldn't be an issue after all is said and done. MaverickNate 20:22, 11 June 2017 (UTC)
Alternate prints from Best of XY
Quick question: Are the alternate prints (originally from the Best of XY) released in the Mega Powers Collection supposed to be added to their respective set pages (e.g: M-Lucario-EX FA added to Furious Fists set page) or something else like a page listing them? Metalizard (talk) 16:29, 14 June 2017 (UTC)
- I was thinking we make some sort of promo page for them, but then also include them in the Additional cards list on the set pages. If any come up as alternates for black star promos, then listing them in-line with the rest of the promotional cards. Does that cover all the bases? From what I know about the alternate cards, I do believe that covers it. MaverickNate 23:45, 15 June 2017 (UTC)
- Ok, I think I got it. I'll create a page using the same template from the Miscellaneous promo cards/Jumbo cards (I think it's the one that fits the most in this case) and also list them in their set page like you said. Just one more question for now: The official site uses the term "Yellow A Alternate cards". I was thinking about making that the page name but also mention in the text that they are commonly referred to Alternate art prints (or something along those lines). Is that okay? Metalizard (talk) 15:55, 16 June 2017 (UTC)
- I just finished the page. See if everything is okay: Yellow A Alternate cards. Metalizard (talk) 19:40, 19 June 2017 (UTC)
Ability List
Sorry it's been something like a year, but I finally finished going through the Japanese exclusives on the Pokémon Power list and I'm wondering how you'd like me to go about starting the list for Abilities (as there is currently no TCG-specific page for it), as well as how the Power table template should be changed to fit Abilites. Thanks! Yuvira (Talk) 20:52, 16 June 2017 (UTC)
- I'll get back to you on this. MaverickNate 01:12, 23 June 2017 (UTC)
Evolutions reprints
Should the cards with re-used art in Evolutions count towards updating an illustrator in the List of TCG illustrators, or should they be left alone? Yuvira (Talk) 07:30, 18 June 2017 (UTC)
New TCG page - Pokemon Snap Contest Winning Photos
While going through and adding links or updating TCG pages I noticed a few of the pages make note of Pokemon Snap contest winning photos. Does this warrant a page or is it fine to just move on and not give that a tcg page of its own? Frozen Fennec 15:26, 21 June 2017 (UTC)
- I don't understand the question. What page in particular? MaverickNate 01:12, 23 June 2017 (UTC)
- Poliwag (Base Set 59) for example, however; after writing this I realized they already had their own page covering them on Illustration contests Frozen Fennec 01:17, 23 June 2017 (UTC)
TCG linking
Sorry for bothering again, I noticed when checking the main tcg pages for Pokemon that it states the Pokémon species names but does not link to that Pokémon's article. Would it be ok if I added links to their pages? Their pages link back to the tcg pages Frozen Fennec 01:38, 23 June 2017 (UTC)
- The header of each table on those pages is the link. MaverickNate 01:39, 23 June 2017 (UTC)
- Do you mean the link for the National Pokédex order? I checked but don't see the link. For example Bulbasaur's tcg section has a link to the TCG list for their appearances in the TCG but the TCG page itself does not have a link back to the Bulbasaur article itself. Frozen Fennec 01:44, 23 June 2017 (UTC)
- The header of the table here, above the line "Cards listed with a blue background are only legal to use in the current Expanded format." is the link back. MaverickNate 01:45, 23 June 2017 (UTC)
- Oh, I see it now, thank you Maverick Nate, I appreciate the help. Frozen Fennec 01:47, 23 June 2017 (UTC)

TCG section at the Mega Evolution article
I was just wondering if you'd like to just link this section to the main Pokémon-EX article instead of listing them twice on both articles? — Ruixiang95 03:53, 10 July 2017 (UTC)
- And would you like the Pokémon-EX article to include Standard and Expanded format coloring? (I will do it after the new format announcement, which should be coming soon) — Ruixiang95 04:17, 10 July 2017 (UTC)
SM4 Japanese names
Are we translating the SM4 Japanese expansions as "The Awoken Hero • The Transdimensional Beast"? I thought I asked before creating the page. And while I am here, can I request for deletion of my userspace pages: this, this, this, this, this and this? Thanks ;) — Ruixiang95 02:37, 23 July 2017 (UTC)
- If you want a userspace page deleted put
deleteat the top of the page you want removed and wait for an admin to get to it. Yuvira (Talk) 03:34, 23 July 2017 (UTC)- Hi Yuvira. It's been stated in the Userspace policy that "...delete multiple pages...then contact an...Editorial Board member on their talk page." So since I have more than 1 pages to be deleted, I can choose to contact them. — Ruixiang95 03:50, 23 July 2017 (UTC)
- I've deleted the pages. As for the set names, I've ultimately gone with Awakened Heroes and Ultradimensional Beasts. As a general rule, set names don't contain any of the articles a, an or the, unless they are linguistically forced to. Additionally, Pokémon has always officially treated the past tense of the word wake to be "awakened", and has literally never used "awoken" (Legends Awakened, Pokémon the Movie: Genesect and the Legend Awakened, etc.). As for the other half, although transdimensional may(?*) be more common in English, another accurate translation for the suffix 超- is Ultra- instead of Trans-, which as the set is introducing Ultra Beasts from Ultra Space, Ultradimensional Beasts fits the brand more accurately. I know that a certain website has already hap-haphazardly translated the set names as the names you've presented, however, they are notorious for missing how the TCG connects to the Pokémon brand and franchise as a whole (that also goes for translations of individual cards in addition to set names and such). I appreciate you coming to me first before creating the pages, because we are able push forward with the best representation of the content instead of having to retrace our steps later. MaverickNate 01:04, 24 July 2017 (UTC)

Shining Legends (English)
Hate to bother you, but please advise on the English Shining Legends. How are we going to differ the Japanese SM3+ and the English release for each individual card pages. Thanks. — Ruixiang95 20:30, 25 August 2017 (UTC)
- Can you be a little more specific with the concerns? I don't entirely think it will be a problem. Hopefully all the cards end up being released, but I don't anticipate anything preventing it from going as normal. MaverickNate 00:26, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
- Sorry should have said it sooner. Regarding the card number since it's different for English and Japanese. So we just put it as Reshiram (Shining Legends 15) for Japanese and Reshiram (Shining Legends 14) for English? — Ruixiang95 00:32, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
- Yeah, that's what we've done before. It had never been a problem yet. Any cards that have the same number are already the cards that belong there. Otherwise yeah, the english would just take on the new number. MaverickNate 01:32, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
Can you help?
So, I have a bunch of Pokemon stuff that would work well in Project Merchandise like this Pokemon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Official Alola Region Strategy Guide and I don't know where to put it's info in. (Actually a LOT of things!) How do I make pages and stuff like that? --Mira Zannah 16:57, 26 January 2018 (UTC)
TCG Illustrator lists
This is probably not that important but thought I would ask anyways as you are the current head of the TCG. Why is it that some illustrators simply have Category lists linked for all the cards they have illustrated while others just have an in-page list? Would it not make sense to have artists who have far longer lists be given collapsible tables with lists for each card from each set they have made? I plan to expand some of the TCG illustrator lists later but I do not want to touch the pages of artists who have extensive lists before then. Frozen Fennec 12:06, 10 June 2018 (UTC)
- It all came down to time and man-power. The pages that are only three sentences and then a massive list of pages were the old style, and we were in the middle of converting them into actually informative pages. Since we already had pages that were lists of illustrated cards (categories), we removed them from the information pages because there's no reason repeating such trivial bulk stats. Masakazu Fukuda and Atsuko Nishida are the style of illustrator pages we're looking for. Anything that currently still has the list of cards illustrated are outdated compared to what we are currently looking for. We just didn't make it to update those ones yet. MaverickNate 03:02, 11 June 2018 (UTC)
- If you think about it, pages like Shizurow and Miki Tanaka literally say nothing about the illustrator at all. They should talk about their contribution to the card game, their personalized style, the types of times they get contracted to illustrate for not only the TCG but all promotional media, etc, etc. Pokemon.com and other official websites occasionally release content detailing the illustrators, and we should compile content like that instead a bunch of links and lists that say nothing about the person at all. Username Change
Hi there, was hoping I could get my username changed/updated to "danke", which is my most common translation username. Let me know if this is possible. Thanks. Mefredbob (talk) 20:17, 24 June 2018 (UTC)
About List of Abilities
Sorry for any bother due by my changes on Pokémon Power article. The Outdated template on top of the page is confusing: it says that the article needs list of abilities. Also, Pokémon Power article, when it talk about Abilities, link to the Ability article, which states that Abilities are a renaming of Pokémon Powers. Should we delete that template and modify that statement maybe? This template Ability redirect to Pokémon Power too. Anyway, I have just noticed that the user Yuvira (talk • contribs)(previously RetroKitty) asked you about a possible List of Ability more than one year ago. Also just read a secion named "Lists (Again)" on your Talk page. Given that Yuvira seems no longer active and given that we still need a list of Abilities on Bulbapedia, is there any chance of using what I've already written, for a new section which can be integrated in the Ability article? Laspandrea (talk) 11:30, 7 December 2018 (UTC)
- Absolutely! Sorry, I meant to get back to you about that. If you want to edit the content of Ability (TCG) to be a page about Abilities in the card game and use what you've already written, that would be the best course of action. Thematically, card affects that affect Pokémon Powers and card effects that affect Abilities are not interchangable, so we need to keep the two concepts separate from one another. Other editors who don't understand the difference probably added those "Ability content needed" tags to the Power page. MaverickNate 23:54, 18 December 2018 (UTC)

Hello, Maverick. How are you? I have been blocked from the Archieves for quite a long time. I wanted to talk about something there, but no luck. And I didn’t mean to have a problem there and I want to help there again. So, if there’s anyway I can get unblocked? I want an adjustment.--CoolPokéGuy (Talk) 23:56, 6 May 2019 (UTC)
Japanese cards only in latest expansions?
Hi,in the latest expansions, almost all the cards from the galleries are in their Japanese versions,is this intended? If not,I have many cards from these expansions,I could scan them and upload them. - unsigned comment from Leonardo828 (talk • contribs)
- If you could get the English prints, that will be nice. Only English versions, cards in other languages are not allowed. The scans should be clear and easy to see, most probably without any wear and tear. Remember to upload them in .jpg format. Thanks. — Ruixiang95 08:41, 18 May 2019 (UTC)
Pokemon Advanced Action Flipz 2003
Hey Maverick,
Currently, there is no distinguishing between 2003/2006 Advanced Action Flipz,
2003 Flipz have different copyright and released in different booster packs,
I am requiring a setlist/ new page created for this set? Is this possible?
Also updated 2006 advanced action flip imagery would be great,
Happy to pay, reach out at [email protected]
thanks

Reverting
Why'd you revert nearly all my recent edits?Huntress (talk) 22:59, 9 December 2019 (UTC)
- Long story short, the tag that you were adding wasn't value added. We do a lot of independent reporting and research for Project TCG here. A lot of the resources that are used are official print materials and/or the scans we have present on every card page, etc. Your edits involved a sweeping change to how things are done to tens of thousands of articles on the website, and with such a vast change, it needs to be approved by the proper channels to organize efforts to make all these changes, instead of just a random tag to a small random assortment of pages. Request to change, divide, remove and renew "List of Pokémon Trading Card Game expansions"
Throughout the history of this page there has been suggestions to divide the page into List of English Pokémon Trading Card Game expansions and List of Pokémon Japanese Trading Card Game expansions.
The English primary focus has meant that Japanese info is sometimes wrong eg set icons or missing eg set abbreviations many Japanese sets are also missing. This has also led to COMPLETELY ignoring sets released in other languages meaning it is extremely difficult to find what languages had which sets. The way the page is set also means that mini-sets and promos are also ignored.
I am requesting approval to remove the "List of Pokémon Trading Card Game expansions" page and replace it with the following pages;
-List of English Pokémon Trading Card Game Sets - where most of the info will be transferred but also include promo-sets and mini-sets without increasing the sets number.
-List of Japanese Pokémon Trading Card Game Sets - where most of the info will be transferred but also include promo-sets and mini-sets without increasing the sets number.
-List of German Pokémon Trading Card Game Sets
-List of French Pokémon Trading Card Game Sets
-List of Dutch Pokémon Trading Card Game Sets
-List of Spanish Pokémon Trading Card Game Sets
-List of Korean Pokémon Trading Card Game Sets
-List of Chinese Pokémon Trading Card Game Sets

- I'd like to see your idea in action! Feel free to draft up these pages in your Userspace (i.e. create pages at User:The1pokedude1/List of English Pokémon Trading Card Game Sets) and show them to me when you are done! MaverickNate 23:29, 17 December 2019 (UTC)
- These are the pages so far.
User:The1pokedude1/List of English Pokémon Trading Card Game Sets
User:The1pokedude1/List_of_Japanese_Pokémon_Trading_Card_Game_Sets
User:The1pokedude1/List of Chinese Pokémon Trading Card Game Sets
User:The1pokedude1/List of Thai Pokémon Trading Card Game Sets
User:The1pokedude1/List of Dutch Pokémon Trading Card Game Sets
I've also noticed that there far more English and Japanese sets that are not set for set comparisons, which furthers the point for splitting. The1pokedude1 (talk) 18:12, 20 December 2019 (UTC)
Sample Set Info
Hi there, I've signed up for BP just to ask you a question about Sample Set. It seems you've made some substantial contributions to articles about some cards from this set – my interest in Sample Set comes from the fact it used e-Card ID numbers in the format M-##; this is the same ID number format assigned to the 9 cards in EX Team Magma VS Team Aqua that supported the e-Card technology. In trying to figure out why these nine cards, which use ID numbers M-01, M-03, M-04, M-15, M-16, M-23, M-24, and M-70, have so many gaps in sequence, without any apparent cards from EX Team Magma VS Team Aqua, that would fill in the gaps, I stumbled on the fact Sample Set used M-## as well.
My first thought was a-ha, case closed. However, M-04 Sample is Koffing, and M-04 TMvTA is Psyduck. I've drafted a write-up about my interest in these cards 1; I'm wondering if you have any more information about these cards or could point me in the direction of resources or individuals that might; if there's any info or interest, I'd love for you to reach out to me on Twitter at @NICOTINEFRIEND or by email at [email protected]
Thanks. - unsigned comment from INTERNETFRIEND (talk • contribs)
Question for Maverick Nate
Good evening!
I sent you a note on the E4 forum about potentially adding a page to BP for the 1997 Tomy Pokemon Scratch Card set.
For starters, here is a great intro guide to these cards here within E4 by majomaal: efour.proboards.com/thread/12666/tomy-1997-pockemon-scratch-card
I also sent you scans of all of my cards in a Google drive, but I don't want to post that publicly here.
Can you please check your e4 mail for that link? Or else, please email me at [email protected]
Thanks! Accio
Hello and best wishes
Hey Nate, not sure if you'll see this (or if you remember me!) - hope you've been well! I noticed on the front page just now that you're no longer in charge of Bulbapedia's TCG and thought I'd drop you a message. Firstly, congratulations on steering the ship for so long - we both started on the project at roughly the same time, which must be at least ten flipping years ago at this point - some things change, but apparently our shared soft spot for the TCG hasn't, despite how much the game itself has. I think it's absolutely incredible and impressive beyond words that you've been involved in the project for so long and goes to show how valued you must be. On the (not so rare) occasion that I find myself reminiscing about classic TCG, I always find myself here - you and your team have built up an incredible resource over the years. Whatever you're up to these days, I hope you're keeping well. All the best, and take care! Jack, aka Cipher (Talk) 20:43, 22 October 2020 (UTC)
- Hello, I am going to piggyback on this to also say thanks for all you have done. When I first joined, you made me feel more at home from the harsh criticism I was getting. Those were some of my very first Wiki edits anywhere, and I went on to do thousands more! Blake Talk·Edits 07:38, 15 November 2020 (UTC)

What was the name of the price guide that the scan of this non-existent card came from? Since there were other GB-only cards, were there other made up cards in the guide, such as Ninetales? Thanks!
Poképhilia
I would like to make a page for Poképhilia. This is what I would write:
Poképhilia is a paraphilia where Humans possess a sexual and, or, romantic attraction towards Pokémon.
Overview
Ancient Times
The full history of Poképhilia in the franchise has largely been left ambiguous and open to interpretation for the most part, however, throughout the franchise, there have been notable clues and references about Humans in the distant past who had participated in romantic and possibly even sexual relationships with Pokémon.
This is arguably best shown in the Sinnoh Folk Story 3, in which there can be found an excerpt of a supposed myth or legend implying that Humans and Pokémon were once free to be married.
- "There once were Pokémon that
- became very close to humans.
- There once were humans and Pokémon
- that ate together at the same table.
- It was a time when there existed no
- differences to distinguish the two."
Modern Age
It's uncertain if Poképhilia still occurs in the modern world or if it is now largely seen as a taboo.
Trivia
- Some fans have theorized that one of the reasons why certain Humans in the franchise are capable of using strange powers such as aura or telepathy is because they may have been descended from a previous union between Humans and Pokémon though this remains unconfirmed.

Can you help?
I made a page move: Pokémon Trading Card Game 2: The Invasion of Team GR! to Pokémon Trading Card Game 2: The Invasion of Team GR! (game)
and after, it says, "A redirect has been created. To also modify links to this page in other pages, go to Special:ReplaceText.", for which which I am not authorised. Finger (talk) 00:01, 16 August 2023 (UTC)
Oh, and I hope our women beat your women today :) Finger (talk) 00:19, 16 August 2023 (UTC)
Can you also clarify whether Pokémon Trading Card Game 2: The Invasion of Team GR!, now reverted by Junior Admin 4iamking, is a game like Pokémon Trading Card Game (video game) and qualifies to have the (game) appendix despite there being no disambiguous CG2 Card Game, as both are in Finger (talk) 02:33, 16 August 2023 (UTC)
The reason I moved it in the first place was because it was helpful to be able to use the ga template, which I read are preferred over direct links, due to CPU overheads? or something like that. Finger (talk) 02:41, 16 August 2023 (UTC)
- The
gatemplate is preferred over____a direct link when the disambiguation is used. But theres no need to force usage of that template when the page names dont work with it. When we add the (game) to a page name, the only reason for doing so would be if the name of the game conflicts with some other property and we need to disambiguate between the two, this isn't the case here so thats why I reverted your move. 4iamking 09:42, 16 August 2023 (UTC)
Then what was the point of creating the ga template in the first place if it isn't to be utilised for the purposed it was designed? Finger (talk) 13:11, 17 August 2023 (UTC)
- It is used for what it's designed to do, the purpose of link templates in general is to ease up on the code when linking to pages that have a disambiguation as exampled above, that we dont want to include in the articles text. That's games like Pokémon Ranger or Pokémon Trading Card Game. The template is designed for such situations, not to link to every game where a disambiguation isn't required, since you can just do that with a standard link, and making a template for that would be adding complexity, not removing it. 4iamking 13:32, 17 August 2023 (UTC)
Hi, I am trying to update this article but I do not know where to find the list of border and background colours, e.g. snoozing color dark, and what criteria is used when deciding what to choose for each entry. Finger (talk) 01:13, 18 September 2023 (UTC)
- I'm not generally the one who updates the page as new ones come out, but I believe the color templates are simply added based on whatever the contributor thinks fits the theme the best. The list of all possible choices should be viewable here: Category:Color templates MaverickNate 04:31, 18 September 2023 (UTC)

Mainspaced page history
Hello, I saw that you were able to merge history for two different userspace pages when mainspacing them into Terapagos (anime). Would you also be able to do the same for Kitakami Ogre Clan? User:Minibug/Kitakami Ogre Clan had been around for a while, with a very decent amount of content, when someone else directly made a mainspace page (with far less content, I might add). The content from the userspace page was eventually copy pasted into the mainspace article, but it'd be great if the article history could be restored too, to give the original authors' hard work credit. Thanks, → PikaTepig999 06:25, 27 September 2023 (UTC)
- I looked into it and checked with minibug. While it is possible to do after the fact, merging page histories is best done in the moment when there are no overlapping times. Trying to do that now, in an attempt to preserve two edits, will just make the history bounce back and forth between the at-the-moment two separate pages. I don't think this is the right move, but I appreciate you looking out! MaverickNate 10:23, 27 September 2023 (UTC)

How to format articles for books only featured as one half of a flip book
Hello. You are listed as a contact for Project Merchandise, so I figured you could answer my question. I contacted nuva-kal, the other Project Merchandise contact, a couple days ago about this, but he hasn't responded yet. So I figured it may be good to ask you as well.
I recently found a collection of 4 Pokémon flip books published by Scholastic in 2021, and they appear to be totally undocumented on Bulbapedia. The collection as a whole is called the "Pokémon Super Special Chapter Book Collection", and each of the flip books is labelled as "Super Special Flip Book #x". With the exception of the two stories in Super Special Flip Book #4, I Choose You! and Ash Ketchum, Pokémon Detective, all of the stories in the collection appear to have been adapted specifically for this collection, and do not exist outside of it. For instance, Super Special Flip Book #1 contains "Gigantamax Clash" and "Battle for the Z-Ring", and neither of these exist as standalone books, at least as far as I could find.
So my question is this. Should separate articles be created for each individual story? For instance, Gigantamax Clash would get its own page, Battle for the Z-Ring would get its own page, etc.? Or should both of those be folded into a single article on Super Special Flip Book #1? If each story gets its own page, should separate pages also be made for the flip books themselves? For instance, should there be articles on Gigantamax Clash, Battle for the Z-Ring, and Super Special Flip Book #1? And should the collection as a whole have its own page?
Thank you. Red Knight (talk) 22:17, 25 November 2023 (UTC)
I have found a standalone version of another of the flip books featured in this collection: Helena Mayer's "The Power of Three," featured in Super Special Flip Book #3. It may yet be possible that all of these books exist in standalone form, just not documented on Bulbapedia. If that does turn out to be the case, then that at least resolves the question posed by the section title. However, I am still curious about how articles about the flip books or collections of flip books should be handled.
Red Knight (talk) 20:50, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
- I think it really depends on how much we can say about each one. For now, I would say write out a draft in your userspace somewhere of what an ideal page would look like. I'm inclined to say each story deserves its own page, with a page on the series of items as a whole, but I'm not really familiar with the topic so it's hard to for me to envision what those articles look like. Editing War assistance on Pokemon League (Hoenn)
Hello Maverick, I was wondering if you could please look into the Pokémon League (Hoenn) page, as I have had two people undo a revision without discussion on the talk page. I have invited people to discuss on the page so we can come to a common consensus, but a second person just came in to revert it again and I would like to get an administrator to weigh in, if possible. Thank you! Cinder24 (talk) 06:30, 31 May 2024 (UTC)
- I actually just noticed that Storm Aurora has already been involved with the discussion, so I will bring it up to him. Sorry for the disturbance! You can still check on the page if you'd like though! Cinder24 (talk) 06:47, 31 May 2024 (UTC)
- One more note: I just noticed that the second person who reverted my edit without any discussion is Force Fire, somebody who I noticed you recently had issues with in regards to his treatment of other Bulbapedia contributors. I just felt that the blunt nature of his edit wasn't really called for, so I wanted to bring it up. I am relatively new to Bulbapedia and I am still learning what the norm is for editing notes, so I am not sure if it is something that is unacceptable or not. If his editing note was satisfactory, then you can ignore this paragraph. However I just felt that there could have been some dialogue, so if you think that it wasn't handled in the best way, I would really appreciate a weigh-in! Thank you, and sorry for the large amount of text! Cinder24 (talk) 07:39, 31 May 2024 (UTC)

Bulbapedia block appeal
It's after August 19, 2024, and I humbly ask if there's a possibility for me to be unblocked so I can edit the following pages:
- Hybrid consoles
- Nintendo Switch
- Nintendo Switch Lite
- Nintendo Switch – OLED Model
- Pokémon of Myth
- Pokémon of Myth (Adventures)
First of all, I got permanently blocked from editing the Nintendo Switch pages on October 27, 2021 for edit warring, and second of all, I got permanently blocked from editing the Pokémon of Myth pages on March 4, 2022 for changing the text "creation trio" to "primordial chaos" here and tagging "Creation trio" and "Creation trio (Adventures)" for moving to "Primordial chaos" and "Primordial chaos (Adventures)" respectively. I believe my appeal should be accepted because I want to make better edits on the Nintendo Switch pages and the Pokémon of Myth pages. I also want to let you know, on August 25, 2023, another user moved the pages "Creation trio" and "Creation trio (Adventures)" to "Pokémon of Myth" and "Pokémon of Myth (Adventures)" respectively because "Pokémon of Myth" is the official term referring to a legendary trio consisting of Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina. Finally, if I'm unblocked, I will keep the Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo Switch – OLED Model considered to be a hybrid console (both a home console and a handheld console), discuss a major change, addition, and/or removal, and never tag the hybrid consoles category for deletion. Thanks! SaturnMario, his talk and his contributions 19:17, 24 August 2024 (UTC)
- So, I'll be very upfront here. Your block appeal is denied, and here's why. While the one year time frame offered to you has expired, your actions during that one year time frame indicate to me that you haven't used that time to learn why you were banned in the first place and improve. Your bans are in place because of edit warring by re-adding controversial edits over and over throughout the pages' histories. Even after your previous blocks expired, you went back to continue the edit warring without using the talk pages to discuss your edits with others. Bulbapedia is a collaborative space, so it begs input from everyone. You are blocked from editing the pages because the staff team finds it necessary for you to use talk pages to ask about your controverisal edits and come to a consensus with other editors on what should be changed on the pages. Honestly, until we see that happen, any future block appeals are going to be denied. You don't *need* to have access to edit those pages to make an impact on them. The talk pages are still there and open for you to contribute to.
- Because I think it's valuable to offer you another time frame, any block appeals in between now and September 1, 2025 will not be considered. But, because I think it needs to be said, until we see you use talk pages to discuss edits with others, it is highly unlikely that any future block appeals will be approved. We need some sort of indication that you've learned the lessons that brought about the blocks in the first place. MaverickNate 23:56, 25 August 2024 (UTC)

Nebby (anime)
Okay, since nobody is bothering to answering my questions, you're the only one I can turn to. Do you think we should move your page, User:Maverick Nate/Nebby (anime), into a separate page? Now that I gave it the information it needed, I think it deserves a mainspace. Seabiscuit2020 (talk) 16:41, 01 Semptember 2024 (UTC)
- That page wasn't really waiting for updates, it's mostly waiting for judgement calls on how the Nebby page can be rewritten in a sensible way.
- But for now, we aren't exactly ruling on any current drafts for anime characters while we work through the Pokémon animated series corrections. MaverickNate 02:07, 2 September 2024 (UTC)
Chien-Pao ex Asian-countries stamps
Hey Nate, I've noticed the Paldea Evolved page says there are 8 stamped versions of Chien-Pao ex 061. 4 countries (HK, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore) which is fine, but 2 versions for each country (according to your edit on the PAL page). What is the difference between the 2 versions? I'm confused by the 'Regional' vs non-regional wording. Just trying to clarify things, maybe they're the same versions and were added erroneously, and there are only 4. Thanks in advance! - unsigned comment from mattfeeder18 (talk • contribs)
- Hi! What I'm pretty sure is, the Championship stamp is a yellow stamp that doesn't note the specific tournament, but the Regionals stamp is a blue stamp that says 'regionals'. Hope this helps! MaverickNate 23:21, 17 September 2024 (UTC)
- That really does help, thank you! I hadn't seen the yellow stamp variant, so I know what I'm looking for (and for future cards). Thanks for the info! -- mattfeeder18 (talk) 00:10, 22 September 2024 (UTC)

Kind regards, Nepepper (talk) 16:51, 23 January 2025 (UTC).
- I appreciate you including the ones that you added translations for. Since katakana tend to be pretty straightforward most of the time, we probably don't need to worry too much about those ones.
- I do think you are onto something with Hitoyasumi though. Since Rest already used Rest, it's probably good to change anyway. We do run into some conflicts because of the card with おひるね. I looked into some of the other places ひとやすみ/一休み came up, and the one that stood out to me was Hitmonchan's Pokémon X Pokédex entry. It talks about resting after bouts of fighting. I'm wondering if Break would be fine. (I asked my Japanese colleagues and they informed me that hitoyasumi doesn't always include a nap; can also include things like a coffee break after work.) MaverickNate 04:08, 29 January 2025 (UTC)
- Looking at the Teddiursa card itself, and also the Category:Cards with Rest, I'm actually beginning to think that 'Nap' is a slightly misleading localization in and of itself. Those other cards cause the Pokemon using the attack to fall Asleep, so it's a little odd that an attack named Nap....doesn't. Makes me think that the original intended meaning of the attack was in fact closer to Break instead of Rest/Nap/Anything that involves Sleeping. MaverickNate 04:15, 29 January 2025 (UTC)
- Alright, seeing your efforts to make it an actual good TL, I'll rightfully change it to "Break" whenever possible then.
- Adding to this, I'm only including the moves in katakana because some of these articles just used Google TL and hoped for the best.
- Nepepper (talk) 10:21, 30 January 2025 (UTC).
- Okay, I went through everything. There were maybe 1 or 2 that I shifted back to what we had before, but most everything else I found to be reasonable. Still working out what to do with Category:Cards with Expand. While most of them are balloons, there's also a collection of sheep and other cottoney things that make me think the intention is a bit different than inflate. Could you please help settle a dispute?
Basically, I think we should mention Mythical Pokemon (including Darkrai) are necessary to get shiny Enamorus on Enamorus's own page. ButSmeargleCan'tUseTheMove disagrees. I don't think either of us will change our minds, am I'm not sure what else to do, so I'm asking any staff I can find. Can you please help settle the dispute? All the details are in my talk page. Thanks. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 05:02, 29 January 2025 (UTC)
I am back
Hello, I just wanted to let you know that I'm trying to solve some of the problems I had accessing Bulbapedia. In the next few days I'll have to configure my data and passwords, but from now on, I'll try to continue my work here at Bulbapedia. That's also the reason why I'm sending a message here and not through discord. I'm organizing some folders and files on my computer.--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 23:26, 31 January 2025 (UTC)
- Glad to hear you are back! I meant to get back to you, but work pulled away all my undivided attention. I'll send a follow up message to our conversation. MaverickNate 01:26, 2 February 2025 (UTC)
A few questions about merchandise and cards
Hello,
I saw your name on the project Merchandise contacts and on your userpage you mentioned that you're "head of the TCG", so I have a few questions for you:
1. I'm currently adding infos on merchandise to pages of Items from the games (since that's what I'm interested in; see the Tamato Berry page for an example); do you think it'd also make sense to add a category like "Item there's merchandise of" or to create a new page listing all merchandise featuring Items for whoever (else) might be interested in that specifically?
2. I saw several cards featuring locations or items in their illustrations; do you think it'd make sense to add a category regarding that to their pages here and/or their image files over on archives? Or should I create a page listing all cards that do?
2.5. Do you know if there's any particular reason the "In the TCG" sections of location pages feature a table? (see Castelia City for an example) It has been done as a gallery for the Substitute doll, and I prefer that, to be honest (since I think it's about the images, not the information featured in those tables). (I'd also change the tables to galleries myself if that's ok?) (and I'll add some cards I noticed are missing from the current lists)
Er... I'm not sure if you're also the person to ask about the following (or who that would be), but...
3. Do you think it'd make sense to create a category and/or a new page for everything in the Pokémon games that has been inspired by the Japanese culture? There's trivia scattered all around, but I was wondering if it should be compiled somewhere for whoever might be interested? (and there might be things I know of that haven't been mentioned on Bulbapedia yet)
Moribundead (talk) 21:29, 5 February 2025 (UTC)
- Hi! I've seen your work. It's exciting to see it! We were also working on something that might interest you for later down the road, but this content on the item pages looks good so far! I'll answer your questions in order.
- 1) I don't think there's necessarily a strong need for such a category on the main wiki. Maybe some sort of reference (in your userspace or something) would be good to keep track of what item pages you have already added to. That or possibly an Archives category?
- 2) For this question too, I don't think a main wiki category would be the best option here. Since cards are the main medium, either a reference list or an image category would be better I think, if it was something someone would want to do.
- 2.5) There are a few methods for the In the TCG sections floating around, but there's not really a solid style any more, so what you think works for the content you are adding would probably be fine for now.
- 3) This sounds like it might already exist? List of references to popular culture in Pokémon. Let me know if that isn't what you had in mind. MaverickNate 05:06, 7 February 2025 (UTC)
- Hey again,
- sorry about the late reply! I'm kinda off and on with this interest.^^'
- Could you explain the sandbox page you linked, please? I don't quite understand it.
- 1) I've made a userspace page for that: User:Moribundead/Items (this is currently mainly a sandbox page to sort my uploads and what else I find on here, but it'll also be the reference list)
- 2) Also made a page for that: User:Moribundead/Card Locations
- 2.5) Also changed some pages' cardlists to galleries as I said.
- 3) And I made a page for that: User:Moribundead/Japanese Culture
- NEW: 4) Am I allowed to "transfer" some of the images in the Item artwork category into new categories? Like Mega Stones, Key Items, Evolution Stones, etc.
- EDIT: NEW: 5) What do I do in case of old goods/figures there are no official images of?
Christian myth
Hello. The user going by the name Magicalgirlkat seems to be particular about changing lines including "Christian myth" to say "real Biblical story" instead. Not only does this seem unneded, they have also edit warred a bit on Hydrapple's article. They haven't done it that much, but I still feel like they should be given a heads-up of sorts. Thank you. Pictures of pokemon advanced action cards
Hello,
I saw your name on the project marchandise contacts and I am personally very interested in all these series of collectibles. I have all the advanced action cards in my possession and I saw that there were no photos of the cards from the series on the site. I don't really have the time and desire to delve into editing the site by myself, but I would be happy to contribute in my own way to the knowledge on this site. I can provide images of the cards. Would you be interested in this, and if so, how can we proceed so that I can provide you with the images of the cards?
Regards KamiPein (talk) 20:38, 12 February 2025 (UTC)
- Hi! Sorry for the long wait on a reply. It's been busy around here.
- These are the lenticular cards, right? Those would probably be really difficult to get good images of that show the images well. We typically prefer scans (but I wouldn't know how lentical scan), but having any images would be a good first step.
- We *usually* try to have images uploaded by the person who makes them, for crediting purposes, but we could work something out via email (you can use the email function built into the wiki), discord (mavericknate#0674) or something else if you aren't interested in getting too deep into the working of the site. (I will say, image uploading is relatively simple and non-intensive; I can show you how to do it if that interests you.)
- I hope I hear back from you! MaverickNate 01:26, 26 February 2025 (UTC)
Redirect
Why couldn't the episode just remain a redirect if it's already clear that there will be another episode. Modesty Elyon (talk) 01:58, 6 March 2025 (UTC)
- If it's clear there will be another episode, we should have a page on the episode. That's the practice we already do, but we also only create episode pages once the title of the episode is known. If you know the title, feel free to create the episode page. If not, it shouldn't be created in any capacity. MaverickNate 02:04, 6 March 2025 (UTC)
- If the episode isn't confirmed, why is there a section for it in the episode list? It seems kind of pointless, my redirect wasn't unnecessary. Modesty Elyon (talk) 02:05, 6 March 2025 (UTC)
- I believe those index pages are prepped as if additional episodes will exist, at least until the end of the specific series is known, in order to prevent additional work for the anime team by having to move and relink that page every week for several months.
- But we also recognize the issues with those pages, and one of the future tasks for the anime section is to split them up onto each episode page when we have the time. MaverickNate 02:11, 6 March 2025 (UTC)
- Sorry but that's not convincing, I don't see the point in what you're doing. I created it so there would be a redirect so when a name comes up people would remember to add more information to another page about listings. The redirect isn't a separate page, and it didn't confuse anyone. Either it should exist so restore the page or there shouldn't be a section for episode 90 in the list until it's confirmed; otherwise what you're saying is completely misleading. Modesty Elyon (talk) 02:14, 6 March 2025 (UTC)
- Well, how should I understand this? You deleted everything again without any response. Then remove the information about the non-existent episode from other pages as well. Modesty Elyon (talk) 02:40, 6 March 2025 (UTC)
- Our readers have likely come to expect that if a link to that page exists, that means the episode has aired and more information is now available. Changing the standard all of a sudden only serves to confuse our readers. A redirect for a page that does not exist should generally only be created if the information readers expect to find exists in detail on the target page. Since we do not have the full details yet, a redirect is inappropriate. This is no reason to remove the known content we do have, and it is unreasonable and frankly uncivil to demand that it be removed and make an ultimatum in this way. Landfish7 02:56, 6 March 2025 (UTC)
- What exactly is uncivil? I asked why there can be a section but not a redirect to it if there is already some information about the episode. If the episode is not announced, then in your opinion, the presence of this section does not confuse anyone? Modesty Elyon (talk) 03:00, 6 March 2025 (UTC)
- The code of conduct states "Do not use insults, demanding language, or harassment to make a point or advance an argument." Your comments above demanding that we remove information because we did not keep the redirect like you wanted are not conducive to a healthy, collaborative discussion environment. If you think the standard should change, you can argue your points respectfully, please. Landfish7 03:12, 6 March 2025 (UTC)
- I saw the section and realized that the future episode was already determined and created a redirect for the fans' awareness. But now they tell me that there is no announcement, but the section should remain for… some reason?
- Sorry, but the presence of this section is precisely what misleads everyone who sees it. Modesty Elyon (talk) 03:09, 6 March 2025 (UTC)
- As Nate stated before, we recognize that there are issues with the animated series staff pages and will likely split them in the future. In the meantime, they will function as they always have so that the anime team can work efficiently. Landfish7 03:16, 6 March 2025 (UTC)
- So, a section without an announcement can exist because deleting it is problematic and convenient for a certain team, even if it misleads all other people? Modesty Elyon (talk) 03:24, 6 March 2025 (UTC)
- Since the solution would involve realistically months of work, in this context, yes it can. Especially since the solution you are proposing misleads another separate group of people, we as staff have to determine which lesser of two evils to choose from in order to keep the least amount of people from getting confused.
- Simply, according to our statistics on page popularity, the individual episode pages are much more searched for and popular than the episode staff directory pages. While we prepare for the overhaul of episode staff directories, the least problematic solution is to keep the individual episode page uncreated until we know the title. While yes, we recognize an issue with the index pages, the solution cannot be to add a series of weekly tasks to the anime editors to solve a very minor and little known problem. MaverickNate 03:38, 6 March 2025 (UTC)
- Considering that we are having such a big conversation, it does not seem that this problem is "little." From everything you have said, it is becoming clear that it was the delay in solving it that misled me and who knows how many other fans who think that the series will continue. And as I understand it, it is not a fact that this problem with the section is going to be solved at all, considering that you are talking about many months. Modesty Elyon (talk) 03:48, 6 March 2025 (UTC)
- The point is that the staff pages are created in advance and are titled with the expectation that they will cover a certain number of episodes. Removing the section would make the title inaccurate, and it's not reasonable to expect people to have to move that page to a new title every week as new episodes air. It's better that we just split those pages into the individual episode pages as soon as we're able to (which isn't necessarily going to be "months" away). Landfish7 04:00, 6 March 2025 (UTC)
- Well, then if this page is not private and everyone sees this info on the episode that you assumed would definitely happen, then a redirect to this section could have existed, and it was not a "speculaction" or "crack" from my side. In the end, the episode list is visible to all readers, and they wonder when the continuation will happen. And then they are told that the continuation is in question, some team just created a section because it was their "expectation." Modesty Elyon (talk) 04:19, 6 March 2025 (UTC)
- As I mentioned earlier, the amount of readers who click on the directory pages is extremely extremely fewer than those who would see the Episode page/redirect. Despite the attention you personally are giving this problem, I can assure you it is in fact a very minor, little problem that very few people even encounter based on the site visitor data that site staff have access to. As Editor in Chief of the largest Pokemon website on the internet, I'm not going to blow up our practices because a single reader sees a potential problem, when I've already assured that said problem is on staff's radar and will be handled as one of the next large-scale editing tasks for Project Anime. I'm glad you brought up a problem that you have with it; multiple people here have personally assured you that we see it too. But in the grand scheme of this franchise, it will have to wait until us volunteer contributors can prioritize it in a way that will see it through fully and correctly. MaverickNate 04:32, 6 March 2025 (UTC)
- Well, we're all volunteer editors here, and as was said, either redirect and section can coexist, or neither should exist because it creates confusion. Just because one point is convenient for a small group does not mean that everyone else should feel like outsiders and think that they are doing something wrong just because there is some problem area, a trap that no one wanted to solve for a long time. There is not even any warning template in that section that this episode has not been announced yet. So anyone who sees it accepts this information as an already predetermined future. Modesty Elyon (talk) 04:52, 6 March 2025 (UTC)
- Your opinion is accepted. As this minor inconsistency you bring up will become moot and void as staff have been prepping to solve a much larger issue with these pages for some time, I won't be changing the practices anytime soon as it would be a waste of limited resources. MaverickNate 05:06, 6 March 2025 (UTC)
- Well, I knew more or less that no one would solve anything, it's easier for you to call someone a speculator than to admit that it was your unsolved problem that created the current situation. So I'm ending this conversation; it's obviously pointless because I and other misled people are a "waste of resources." Modesty Elyon (talk) 05:20, 6 March 2025 (UTC)
- I recommend losing the attitude if you expect to be a successful editor here. If you are fired up enough to create a 3 hour argument over an extremely minor issue because the uneeded page you created was deleted with a default delete reason, making false accusations against others, it shows that you won't be able to collaborate well with other editors. MaverickNate 05:29, 6 March 2025 (UTC)

Verify Jirachi coin color
Howdy! I've been researching Pokemon coins recently and came across the silver rainbow Jirachi coin that you added to the Wish Maker theme deck page back in 2015.
This has been causing me quite a bit of confusion as the coin that I have from the same theme deck is definitely a soft gold like this one that is listed for the Movie Commemoration VS Pack. I haven't been able to find a silver version of this coin anywhere online (at the very least, not one that doesn't look it could be gold when held at a different angle).
I suspect that they're the same coin, or at the very least that the one from the Theme Deck is a different shade of gold than the one in the VS Pack, and not actually silver. My other running theory is that there were two slightly different colored versions of the coin included in the Wish Maker theme deck with one being soft gold and the other, seemingly rarer, one being silver.
If you still have the coin, are you able to take a new photo of it (perhaps at a few different angles) for visual comparison/confirmation?
Thanks, Rattrocker (talk) 23:36, 19 March 2025 (UTC)
- Hi! I've been meaning to get back to that message, so I'm glad you reached out to me.
- So, when my friend and I were researching coins way back when, we didn't own this coin. But, we had watched a lot of video openings of people unboxing the Wish Maker theme deck in order to try and pinpoint the exact research for it, and didn't quite feel so comfortable ascribing it as the same exact Japanese coin from the Movie Commemoration VS Packs. Those Japanese theme decks tended to be different from the coins released in the English products (despite all coins from that Generation being produced in Japan and shipped over). The image we added was a screengrab from one of those unboxing videos, and we weren't quite sure what to make of it. We figured it would be safer to consider them different and then combine them later, instead of the alternative.
- The coin images we have that are non-transparent with white backgrounds were all coins I didn't own at the time, and are partly waiting for me to find a sealed copy to verify whether or not the research we did 10 years ago was fully accurate. That being said...do you happen to specifically own the coin that comes out of Wish Maker? That would probably be a better avenue for figuring this out. I saw on that talk pages that you mentioned owning that deck multiple times before, so I'm willing to trust your first hand experience--since I don't have one myself. I do happen to own multiple copies of the Movie VS Pack coin however. I simply return to the before-mentioned problem that it would be rare that the coin between the two products would match 100%. I'd love to be able to verify 100% whether or not they are the same, but that tends to involve scanning/taking picture of both of them at the same time and seeing if there are any differences.
- Side note. Are you a coin collector? I'd love to see if we can't trade any coins to fill out the ones each of us are missing! MaverickNate 01:18, 20 March 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for the response! You did (and still do) a ton of great work for the wiki, so I'm not complaining here about that - just trying to clarify some facts about the coins that I do own.
- I've actually got three copies of said coin - one being from my theme deck that I had as a kid (and having pretty significant signs of play), one coming from a recent purchase of a sealed copy of the theme deck (and thus very clean / near mint), and the other being one that I imported from Japan recently as well (under the assumption that it was from the VS Pack which I'm now second guessing, also very clean / near mint).
- Needless to say, I've got three samples that all look the same with two being confirmed coming from the Wish Maker theme deck and the other being identical but whose origin I am now uncertain of.
- Changing gears, I've begun to collect coins from both North America and Japan but with most of my current efforts going towards North American Gen 3 and Gen 4 coins (the eras that I grew up with). I've got a few duplicates that I'd be down to trade with you (one of them being a pretty clean copy of the Wish Maker theme deck Jirachi coin).
- I was thinking about picking up one of the VS Packs so that I can do a side-by-side comparison of the two coins but its currently outside my budget. I'm totally interested in trading one of my spare Wish Maker coins to you in exchange for your spare coin from the VS Pack (or alternatively, swap coins with you for photography/comparison purposes and then send it back once done).
- I've got some other spares too but they're in varying used condition (much of my collection is either from my childhood and is thus well-loved or are second-hand pickups from eBay or from Mercari / Yahoo Auctions via proxy seller) - I can send you a list with photos if you're interested in seeing what I've got, just let me know! Rattrocker (talk) 07:42, 20 March 2025 (UTC)
- I have two of the Jirachi coin that I can confirm to be from the Japanese theme deck, so I can certainly give one of those up if it helps. I'd certainly love to finally be able to put one of the lingering coin mysteries to rest.
- I took some pictures of my tradable coins and I'd be more than happy to trade whatever I can to you to help fill in your collection. I'll follow up here in an email via the wiki's email function, so be on the lookout for one! I'm willing to take closer pictures or answer any questions about what you might be looking for. Gardevoir Coins
I've seen a silver, green, and jumbo purple gardevoir coin listed here. However, for the green coin in particular I don't see a listing, release, or set this coin should come with. Does this coin exist? I'm currently hunting all 3. Skar1899 (talk) 05:40, 8 September 2025 (UTC)
- Hi! This coin definitely exists. Unfortunately, it's probably going to be a difficult find, and probably not on the English side of the internet. It was a Point prize for a series of tournaments happening at Pokemon Center stores in Japan for 1 month in 2016. Players could earn 1 point for participating and 1 point for winning. In order to get the Gardevoir coin (it came in a set of three with Pikachu and Charmander), you had to earn 6 points total and you could receive the coins from the tournament staff. I hope this at least provides some answers. Good luck! MaverickNate 07:02, 8 September 2025 (UTC)

Hi, you've reverted my edit on Mega Evolution TCG Series merchandise about the Trick or Trade 2025 promo card, but I got the information from the official Pokemon website: https://www.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-news/attend-your-local-play-pokemon-store-to-celebrate-pokeween Should I not include that on the merchandise page if it's just a promo card? Game data sections / Pokémon page formatting and layout
What would be the appropriate place to propose a change to the "Game data" sections of articles on Pokémon?
These sections have become progressively less useful over time, as they are incredibly long. Pikachu is a perfect example of this. From a personal perspective, my primary usage for these pages is checking Learnset and Stats sections. As more games are released, these sections get buried deeper and deeper in the pages, which is not useful at all.
It may be worthwhile to make separate Core game data and Side game data sections given how many games there are at this point.
Additionally, Pokédex entries could easily be its own section, following after Biology. I think this could reasonably contain core game, side game, and anime Pokédex entries, along with miscellaneous ones. Anyone looking to read Pokédex entries (which I often do) would be interested in all of these as a whole.
Sprites and models definitely needs its own section. These are inherently large and space filling, and would be best placed towards the bottom of the page.
Origin, Name origin, and In other languages could reasonably be combined into their own section, along with Concept and development. These are some of the things I personally find most interesting, and I definitely don't want to scroll for ages to find them. A section right at the end would be perfect.
One of the biggest problems ultimately is that the pages don't have Contents tables when viewed on mobile, whereas they do on the desktop version. Some pages, like Appletun, display with the sections collapsed by default, but others like the aforementioned Pikachu display with them expanded. It's a lot.
As an additional but unrelated bit of commentary, the adverts that display on Bulbapedia break the functionality of the website on mobile browsers. The implementation of adverts creates some kind of overlay which prevents clicking on wikilinks and the like, which is deeply frustrating. Poppy Appletree (talk) 15:06, 13 November 2025 (UTC)
- You've given a lot of thought into these suggestions! The place to put these the talk page for Project Pokédex. I will say though, there are a lot of strong opinions about how those pages should be structured, and it's been difficult to get the majority of readers on board with specific changes. It's a very long term improvement, so there may not be immediate results to anything currently. I personally want to see game data placed on a separate page, so that the page can better address the needs of people playing the games, which the species page allows for a stronger overview of the things people find interesting about the site. It's hard to get people to agree however.
- For the ad issues, none of us volunteers have any control over the ads, so the best action for you to take is to follow the instructions on Bulbapedia:Bad ads and they will hopefully be addressed by the website host MaverickNate 00:55, 14 November 2025 (UTC)
Spam
But it's my own talk page—what harm am I causing to others by doing this there? Also, if you want to know why I'm doing it, it's because I'm trying to get autoconfirmed so I can start creating articles. Bulbapedia doesn't tell you the number of edits you need to do to gain that ability; it just says ‘secret.’ It's also been four days since I signed up, so what's going on? --Conradd (talk) 01:22, 18 November 2025 (UTC)
- Spamming the recent changes deteriorates that resource which other editors use to ensure the quality and accuracy of the encyclopedia. The barriers we have to become autoconfirmed are intentionally low that a person can reach autoconfirmed status by natural editing (which doesn't include the user talk space.)

- If you say which one, we can create the page with basic information for you to add to. MaverickNate 02:10, 18 November 2025 (UTC)
- Why can't I create it myself? --Conradd (talk) 02:12, 18 November 2025 (UTC)
- You have not participated on our wiki long enough to gain that ability. We have the restrictions in place to prevent spam (which, you have inadvertedly done anyway), and without having done any fruitful contributions, you haven't shown any indication that you'll make any if you had the ability to create pages. MaverickNate 02:19, 18 November 2025 (UTC)
- Okay, can you tell me how many edits I need to make and how many days have to pass before I gain the ability to create pages? --Conradd (talk) 02:26, 18 November 2025 (UTC)
- No. That information is intentionally not shared. I've provided you with an option that works within Bulbapedia's rules. You're free to take it or leave it MaverickNate 02:29, 18 November 2025 (UTC)
- Why make it intentionally a secret? What benefit does that provide? --Conradd (talk) 02:33, 18 November 2025 (UTC)
- It has successfully prevented vandals from spamming the wiki. Intentionally keeping it unknown has prevented bad actors from being able to create work-arounds to continue their vandalism. MaverickNate 02:36, 18 November 2025 (UTC)

Your revert of my edit
Heya Mav. I understand the revert, that the Shining Darkness cards don't have traditional set numbers. However, the cards do have the DPBP# printed on them where a set number would be. Is there a way we can indicate this in some way in the listings? Thanks! - Azryyal (talk) 04:10, 20 November 2025 (UTC)
- See this image of Absol for instance. - Azryyal (talk) 04:22, 20 November 2025 (UTC)
- It's also on the English card, so it's not information tied to the release, per say, it's tied to the Pokémon. We can find a place to put it on the card page, but it's not really appropriate to add to the species lists. Putting it there would be implying that that information is the equivalent to a card number, which isn't exactly accurate. Cards like Shaymin (Intense Fight in the Destroyed Sky 11) have both the card number and the DP Battle number, with the battle number next to the first edition mark on the left instead. If we can't list it for all cards, we wouldn't list it for any. MaverickNate 04:31, 20 November 2025 (UTC)
- Ok. That makes sense. Thanks! - Azryyal (talk) 17:22, 20 November 2025 (UTC)

Regarding Eternamax Eternatus' art and your revision to my change.
Hi! I just wanted to give a reason for my edit and also a proposal for the infobox art for Eternamax Eternatus.
I changed Eternamax Eternatus' art from the GL art to the HOME render to maintain consistency as all of those examples I gave in my reason, plus others, opt to use the HOME render over the existing GL art they have
HOME renders also mimic the posing of key art if its available, further showcasing their place as fill-ins for true key art (see Floette's forms)
However I do acknowledge that this is technically the correct image, due to the file name following the naming convention of other official art, so I am proposing that 0890Eternatus-Eternamax.png gets renamed to 0890Eternatus-Eternamax Dream.png, and a file redirect with the 0890Eternatus-Eternamax.png is given to HOME0890E.png?
