Let me be the first to say welcome back Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 21:15, 6 January 2011 (UTC)

A wild Maverick appeared!

Welcome back - though I'd put this here rather than forward the email you missed. Basically I was going to ask where you got all of the info regarding the new BW collection cards. From what I can gather all of the info is now on the Pokemon Card Game Network site, which requires you to be a member of the Daisuki club - and I cannot register. The concern I had is that I don't have a Japanese source as to get text and all that from, or did Umeko provide all of this for you? ~~nuva-kal 23:10, 6 January 2011 (UTC)

I was forcing myself to actually learn Japanese. I mostly compared the Japanese names of in game attacks with the cards. Anything that I could not either find and copy the text character for character, or copy/paste from one of the move/ability pages, I either had left the cards unfinished, or asked ume for them. There were only about five or six I did not do. MaverickNate 17:49, 7 January 2011 (UTC)
I've also hit a potential snag in the way some cards are named. I'm up to Castform on cards by Pokémon, which is where I've noticed it. The Pokémon with different forms have it detailed in smaller text, but this is actually part of the card name. The forms are referenced as the card's full name in several Poké-Powers and as to what they evolve from, as well as in official checklists, and the fact that you can play four of each of those with the form names. Not sure if you planned to rename these if/when you got up to them? - Though I would still like some input. For most instances this isn't a problem, but the Shellos and Gastrodon cards all have the form in their name, which will need a redirect with the way the cardlist header is set up. ~~nuva-kal 20:13, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
Well, I had also come across this problem with Unown. The way I began to think of it, was that the different sections for these Pokémon were not so much names as they were the different forms. I organized all of the letters into each of the groups, even though the EX Unseen Forces cards were not labeled "Unown A" specifically. This way provided a lot more sense into the different sections, for instance how all the cards in the first "Unown" section were the ones from HS era featuring more than one at once. I feel like having the three forms of Castform from Legends Awakened into the specifically grouped sections would be best for it. As for Shellos and Gastrodon, we can discuss that more in depth when those two actually come up. MaverickNate 20:35, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
This raises another question though, is it best to have for example a section for Sunny Castform, and one for Castform Sunny Form? This is what I was originally alluding to - that I think the cards in question should have the full names in the card article titles as they are with Unown over the course of the DP expansions. Considering I'm going over these with a fine-tooth comb anyway, moving them wouldn't be much more hassle. ~~nuva-kal 20:50, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
Well, if renaming them is an option, I don't see why not. Though having both "Castform Sunny Form" and "Sunny Castform" is a bit weird and redundant in my opinion. Do what you think is best. MaverickNate 21:01, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
Ugh, I've kind of convinced myself out of it, as the names don't look that good in the infoboxes and it does look daft with the breakdowns in the table. I've edited the Castform one to a standard I like, and I've even put a colour switch in there which looks nice! ~~nuva-kal 21:41, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
I tried to avoid color switches, just so that each type and color was featured at all times. The only other place I encountered this was Lugia where all I did was alternate Psychic color and Colorless color. I probably would have just alternated Water and Fire color as the secondary color for Castform. MaverickNate 18:47, 9 January 2011 (UTC)

Welcome back!

Hi! I was so sad when I saw that you would leave forever,as TTEchidna and you were the ones who welcomed me here and supported my website. I do have a question, though, because I don't know how to do it. I finally created a page of Voltolos (White Collection 19) but the link to the secret Voltolos (White Collction 54) is still red. Could it be possible to create a redirect of this page : (Secret Voltolos) to the original page :, just like it was done with Tornelos, Reshiram and Zekrom? That would help a lot, since I don't know how to do it. TokoyamiTheDark 22:28, 9 January 2011 (UTC)

Forget that, it is already done :) TokoyamiTheDark 22:29, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
Already done! I am very impressed with what you did. There was only one minor modification: じゅうでん is Charge's Japanese name, and I already took care of it. Fantastic job. MaverickNate 22:30, 9 January 2011 (UTC)

I wanted to create a page to compare the Demographics of various places in the Pokémon world. Did I do anything wrong? TheRevived 05:24, 13 January 2011 (UTC)

Yeah. You didn't create anything. We can't have an empty page. It screws up the statistics. make it in your userspace. MaverickNate 05:28, 13 January 2011 (UTC)

Well, I was waiting for somebody to fill it up... I am serious, this is not a gimmick...TheRevived 05:29, 13 January 2011 (UTC)

So, you wanted to create a page, but you wanted someone else to do it? I can't believe you. MaverickNate 05:35, 13 January 2011 (UTC)

It's been said before, and It'll be said again. If you are not going to put in the effort to make an article properly before you save it, creating the page, then don't do it in the mainspace. There's a reason mainspace pages are called "articles" not "names" - because they have something on them. Werdnae (talk) 01:45, 14 January 2011 (UTC)

OK!:-22:08, 15 January 2011 (UTC)

Now, as I am sure you are glad to hear, all of the cards by Pokémon pages are complete I want to fill you in on something I plan on tackling next. While going through cards for the cards by Pokémon pages, I noticed a lot of inconsistencies as to how cards with reprints are shown. With cards that have only one reprint, the tendancy is to place the image of the reprint lower down the page with the primary release in the infobox. However, I have found this to be distracting in some cases, particularly with cards that have more text with regards to different versions, or where it masks bullet points in trivia sections.
What I propose is that we use the gallery underneath the release info heading that shows all variations and have the reprints detailed in the infobox that cycle, as articles with many reprints already feature. I know you personally are not a fan of the gallery when it comes to these, but I'm trying to think in the context of a casual browser/user. If they see one version of the card as displayed in the infobox, they can scroll down and see all iterations, and refer to the descriptions above to see individual details - I just think it structures the article more nicely. I'm sort of in the process of doing this, as I want to add concise info for distribution in promo card articles, specifically how they were for both English and Japanese releases. ~~nuva-kal 21:36, 17 January 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, sure, do whatever you want. It's not my project anymore. MaverickNate 21:57, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
I still value your input though, which is why passed it by you. ~~nuva-kal 11:16, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
I know. But I'm seeing it as the current leader finding and destroying upon the problems that the previous leader had. You know that if I liked something, I'm not completely going to give an unbiased answer towards what you should do. I think anything you want to do would be an improvement on what I did, like how everything I wanted to do was mostly an improvement of {u|ShiningPikablu252}}, and so on. MaverickNate 19:22, 18 January 2011 (UTC)

What do you mean capitalize the letters in the template? It was like that in the Bulbasaur (Baes Set 44)! I only know how to do regular moves not poke-powers and poke-bodies. Could you tell me how so I know what to do?Dbeckelheimer6 23:30, 18 January 2011 (UTC)

You are using a bad example. Base your edits off of Charizard (Arceus 1) MaverickNate 23:33, 18 January 2011 (UTC)

Re: Update

Well, I was doing it in lowercase because I saw an article that had it so, so I based my edits on that, but as soon as you sent that message, I started using "Xxxxx". It feels better that way. I'll edit the old ones later, I'd like to edit some more before going back. Oh, and I talked to Jello today about said templates, this one has a problem, I tried to use {{TCGNote}}, with Template:TCGAttack, but the four couldn't be tied in one table, how can we fix that? Since we only have Top, Middle and Bottom parameters. Masatoshi talk contribs 05:07, 23 January 2011 (UTC)

Derp, just watched you edit it, nevermind. Masatoshi talk contribs 05:09, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
Already saw it and fixed it. TCGNote also has the position option. Also, just to keep things consistent, powertype goes UNDER position. MaverickNate 05:09, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, I know that has the position parameter. And alright, starting from now, doing powertype under position. Masatoshi talk contribs 05:15, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
Fantastic. Thank you. Keep up the good work. MaverickNate 05:16, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
Alright, the last time I checked in another article, I had compared everything before using it in said article. Guess I didn't this time, sorry. I'll leave the Carddex and/or grey tables alone, then. Masatoshi talk contribs 05:39, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, well, I saw that the table said basically the same, so I figured that that'd do. Masatoshi talk contribs 05:46, 23 January 2011 (UTC)

Dark Pokémon card

How do I handle those? Should I just use the TCGAttack with the type they're originally from? Masatoshi talk contribs 10:43, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

Same as normal, but Add "class=Dark |" under position. MaverickNate 18:16, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

Swalot (tcg)

Ummm..... I know I've caused trouble in the past, but I'm trying to stop doing that. I suppose you might remember undoing a revision from me on Salot's TCG page. You say they're normally psychic-type stage 1s, but there are 3 grass swalots, and only 2 psychic swalots. So, technically, they are grass types most of the time. Like I said, not to cause any more trouble ;).

Hama-chan's Slowking (CoroCoro promo)

Do these kind of cards use the "Doodle" thing? Also, just letting you know, I'd like to get rid of the Cardattack templates in all of the Pokémon cards first, and then replace the pages that have {{graytable}} for the {{Carddex}} ones, I can focus better this way. Masatoshi talk contribs 05:53, 27 January 2011 (UTC)

Yes, there's a doodle option. Also, we'll see about the carddex. We'll see. MaverickNate 08:06, 27 January 2011 (UTC)
Then, the ones that have drawings like that should have the Doodle thing. Got it. Well, if I finish them earlier, I can peacefully work on updating the Graytables to Carddex, and thus won't make any mistakes such as the ones I did earlier. Masatoshi talk contribs 08:34, 27 January 2011 (UTC)
Is this okay? Especially the order of the class parameter. Masatoshi talk contribs 09:15, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
I've been telling others to put class under position. MaverickNate 16:39, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

User:Maverick Nate/Designers

Are you planning on getting around to doing it? We know quite a few Generation V Pokémon have been designed by James Turner. --SnorlaxMonster 11:31, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

I haven't focused any recent time on it. Add to it if you wish. MaverickNate 16:38, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

was confirmed by this. Doesn't that make filenames of other cards official?----無限の知性DENNOUZENSHI 10:48, 29 January 2011 (UTC)

Filenames weren't used to confirm Elfuun. And no, filenames from the card database are not consistent, so there is no way for us to use them. We aren't going to change Raichu to Raichuu just because the card database named their images that way and even though "Raichu" is the trademarked, and it still applies to BW. Quit pressing the subject. It's getting quite annoying to have to repeat ourselves multiple times. MaverickNate 18:38, 29 January 2011 (UTC)

eBayers stealing and hotlinking scans

Hi, I have been alerted that eBay sellers have been stealing scans from here, but not any scans out there. They're stealing AND Hotlinking MY OWN scans, which my website states the following rules -

FAQ rules still apply! Online auctions (like eBay) or websites with *annoying* Right-Clicking Disabled are not allowed to use these AT ALL. LiveJournal and similar websites are welcome to use these.

Could it be possible to prevent images from the Archive to be hotlinked? Anyhow, here' the eBay auction URL with a hotlinked Shining Magikarp...stolen and the seller even put a damn watermark on it, breaking not 1, not 2, but 3 TERMS OF USE rules!!!

Images (Mine) : 180px-Shiningmagikarp2.jpg

(After it was stolen) :!B+DtKFg!Wk~$(KGrHqJ,!hoEzd9T!ZWuBM-jWTgMHg~~_12.JPG

The holo marks and smudges all match up, proving image theft. TokoyamiTheDark 16:54, 29 January 2011 (UTC)

I think that I may be sockpuppeting, It is very vauge but I seem to remember creating an accout and then decideing this was all to complicated. Now, I'm preety sure this one is a new account. Is there anyway of searching for an old account that may or may not exsist and if so, can it be deleted? Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 20:00, 29 January 2011 (UTC)

Just because you have another account doesn't mean you are sockpuppeting. Creating extra accounts to use maliciously is bad, but accidentally having an extra account is not, as long as you aren't using it. (I actually have three: long story.) I assume you aren't since you brought this up to me. You're fine. Just carry on with normal business, and if anyone ever harasses you about this, send them to me. MaverickNate 20:04, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
thanks Mav, I'm not even sure if there is one but is was bugging me Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 20:06, 29 January 2011 (UTC)

I am sorry about the Team Budew thing. I don't know if the others are moving. (Personally, I want to move ASAP but I'm not the leader. I want to follow policies. Team Budew, don't take this the wrong way, but if we cause trouble I might drop out for the reason of we should follow the rules.) I am really sorry. :( Pokabu82 02:15, 2 February 2011 (UTC)

Since I never plan on registering on the forums, I'm going to bring this up here.

What was with the massive arguing over the APNG vs. GIF debate in which you kept using the reasoning to "just use Firefox" over and over (amongst other reasons)? Telling people incessantly to change their browser is really not a good way to go forward when it comes to user-friendliness for a Wiki. I for one, definitely would not go back to that bloated, memory-hog of a browser when Chrome currently does it's job perfectly fine with better functionality (like TweetDeck as an extension). However, I am aware that APNG's are not currently supported, and may not be for quite a while too. Do you see me kicking up a storm about it? No, because I chose my browser, and I am dealing with it's functionality (or lack of it, in this case).

How about next time to debate comes up again, you use the other sides of the arguments such as the server load, templating issues and the rest; rather than banging on about people's choice of browser?

As someone who is supposedly a Bureaucrat, you're not setting a very good example IMO. TheChrisD RantsEdits 16:24, 3 February 2011 (UTC)

I and evan had already stated the other reasons on why they will be staying pngs, and Turtwig Lover just continued to ignore them. So, I started repeating what the easiest solution was for him to see them was. I knew that they would never change (for the reasons stated in the last post by evan), so no more actual debate was necessary. Now, I will admit that I didn't argue as elegantly as I should have, but I was fed up with him. He was extremely disrespectful towards Jello and her effort to standardize sprites. If he was so adamant about gifs, he shouldn't have started an argument in the middle of her project. It was appalling to see the amount of disregard for other peoples' projects and the disrespect to one of my greatest friends on this site, so, I did not argue the best, because I let my emotions get in the way. However, I will say I was never a Bureaucrat for my way of words with other users. I'm a Bureaucrat because I get shit done. And honestly, I don't care what your opinion of me is, or whether or not you think I'm "friendly." I treat people the way they treat others. And I will respect the people who actually do things for the wiki. MaverickNate 23:25, 3 February 2011 (UTC)

Aqua Grunt links

I noticed instead of relinking to the correct page, you removed it from two usertalk pages. Do you have a reason behind this, or were you just lazy?(no offence) Blake Talk·Edits 03:41, 4 February 2011 (UTC)

I was under the impression that they were being linked from beforehand in order to direct admins' attention to the issue on moving the pages, which is now taken care of. So, no reason to link those pages anymore. MaverickNate 03:49, 4 February 2011 (UTC)

Picture tag

Was was this edit made? I was told images like that should be marked with the bad image tag since they are not from the games, just fan made images. --HoennMaster 22:18, 4 February 2011 (UTC)

Because we had them made in order to replace the ones from the game. correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure every single route image is fanmade. MaverickNate 02:22, 5 February 2011 (UTC)
Most of the earlier routes are not. --HoennMaster 02:40, 5 February 2011 (UTC)
I just checked Kanto routes 1 through 5 and all of them are. I will admit that the one for Pal Park was not made the same way. However, that map is better than no map at all. Maybe we could get Jello or CoolPikachu to make the Pal Park one as well. MaverickNate 02:50, 5 February 2011 (UTC)

Just to note

I was first made aware of my unintended mistake because I had been monitoring the Recent Changes frequently as well as the fact that I have already devised a countermeasure on avoiding affecting the images like that again. Also just to note there are a few sprites such as with Cilan in a few pages that haven't been upgraded to the new names yet. -Tyler53841 01:16, 7 February 2011 (UTC)

Luckily you were smart enough to figure it out on your own then. A lot of people just ignore that it happens and let the images sit broken. MaverickNate 01:18, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
With all these new updates for the English Names I have to keep a vigilant watch on recent changes and the connection links such as a few editors didn't bother to look at some of the moves' breeding sections, which I did and carefully found and upgraded the names. Speaking which everything except for the protected pages for the names of the new moves and Pokémon have been completed. -Tyler53841 01:20, 7 February 2011 (UTC)

Re Sudowoodo

While I agree that it may not be notable for newer Sudowoodo cards, it was most probably intended to be a reference on the Neo Genesis card, as it would have been the only Rock type with a Water weakness at the time. Also, I was not edit warring. Each page was only reverted by me once. XVuvuzela2010X 21:05, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

Skyridge Aerodactyl begs to differ. Same generation. We don't know that that was their intention, because it is also the only pure rock type released at the time. Your necessary restrictions are getting a bit too restrictive. Once other pure rock types were introduced, such as Regirock or Nosepass, every single one of which were weak to water, alongside every Sudowoodo. It fits the in game characteristics, so the principle of Occam's Razor applies: Simpler of two valid explanations is the correct one. MaverickNate 21:16, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

{{template|Trainer Text}}

Is this the correct template for use in the TCG cards? If not, which one is it? Masatoshitalk 09:24, 14 February 2011 (UTC)

It is, yes. A new one hasn't been developed. Personally, I would prefer all the Pokémon card stuff is finished before moving onto something else. It makes everything SO much easier to focus all our time on one thing. MaverickNate 02:14, 15 February 2011 (UTC)

Congratulations! For your outstanding service to Bulbapedia you have been awarded the Crystal Bulbasaur Award for 2010 by the Bulbapedia editorial board!

Please place this template onto your userpage by putting {{User Award|CrystalBulba|2010}} among your userboxes.

You have been an inspiration to so many editors both on Bulbapedia and the Archives in your tenure here. The TCG section has flourished and the Archives have developed from a messy warren of images into something more manageable. Whatever your path from here (and we all hope you stay), know that the hours days weeks lifetime you put into this site has not been for naught :)

Your friend and colleague, —darklordtrom 09:34, 14 February 2011 (UTC)

You deserved that :) Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 15:50, 25 February 2011 (UTC)

Hey there.

Remember how you said we had all the TCG scans? You might be mistaken. Now, I haven't looked extensively for these, but we seem to be missing scans from two critically important but little-known releases. For starters, several preview cards of the VS series were released in English at the Tropical Mega Battle 2001. The other scans we may not have are of the "Sample" editions of a few Expedition Base Set cards. The art is the same as the regular printing, but the "Sample" editions have Japanese backs, the word "Sample" near the lower right of the card, and are exceedingly rare. They were used to showcase the E-reader's capabilities in certain retail outlets. I've recently come into possession of a couple "Sample" cards, and have an acquaintance who may be willing to scan the others. So essentially... do we have these, and should we? The VS ones will be difficult to get... they're even more limited in printing. At the very least, mentions of the Sample editions should be included on each page of the involved cards (there aren't many) and mentions of the English release should be included on the pages for the VS cards involved. Again, there aren't many. I'll take care of that tomorrow. --P o L i 02:09, 18 February 2011 (UTC)

First off, I know about the Tyranitar Half Deck cards. I made the page in September 2009, and already accommodated all those pages, such as the Clair Mantine resistance change. We already have Bugsy's Yanma in English, but as for all TCG scan purposes, it's the same: for the ARTWORK. Getting the English Tyranitar Half Deck images in not a priority, and in actuality, I think I have them somewhere. I showed them to you before, and you said how you hated the change in text font. They have the same artwork, and the 12 pages already have the English text quoted on the respective pages, and a release information section detailing their release.
As for the sample cards, the rules are the same. Is the artwork different? No. Then there is no need to get scans of them. We'll mention them. Nuva kal and I are working on getting as much release information filled in as possible. It'll be added. MaverickNate 02:48, 18 February 2011 (UTC)

Naming conventions for categories

e-Card expansions. Should we keep them as they are, or name them according to their titles, e.g. The Town on No Map, Wind from the Sea, etc.? Just asking for the set categories is all, though I know you changed those that were not "e-Card" back to "e-Card" a while ago. ~~nuva-kal 16:06, 19 February 2011 (UTC)

I only changed them to e-Card because that was what was used in the opening line in the articles. I guess they should be the names, to match everything else. MaverickNate 16:28, 21 February 2011 (UTC)

Re:Move Images

...But HOW I can animate them? I use Screen Capture fuction for pictures... Marked +-+-+ 14:45, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

First of all, you're gonna need Animget, Photoshop and JaPNG Editor. I assume you have an emulator, such as No$gba or DeSmuME (or Visual Boy Advance, why not?).
You'll have to run the emulator and Animget.exe (I'd suggest that the settings of the emulator have 0 frame skips. It'll make the game slower, but more accurate.), and engage in a battle with the Pokémon whose move is the one you want to capture, right before your Pokémon uses the attack, go to the running application AnimGet and go to Observe, and then click Start, the program is now taking screenshots of the game alone, don't worry about your desktop. Try not to press any key that might speed up the game, or the result might be not what you're looking for.
Select the move, let the Pokémon use it and then immediately after, click on Stop. If you found that they were good, then go to Screen Shots and click on Save, that will make the screenshots go to the shots folder. I'd go to said folder and delete the useless shots, I normally find the shots useful when I see "[POKéMON] used [MOVE]!" until the attack finishes, and the HP bars are seen again.
Open up Photoshop and create a batch script, open the first screenshot and create the action, hit the record button and crop the image (Generation IV and V have 256x192 as the image size, so make sure to crop it well.), then save in a different folder, once you have it done, go to File > Automate and change the settings for Action (the name you used for the script), the source and destination folders (source being Animget/shots and destination, wherever you want them to be), File naming; for example, you were animating Absorb, you type in Absorb in one field, 3 digit serial number in the other, and extension (not EXTENSION, because it'd show .PNG instead of .png, and it's not encouraged to do that) in the last one. You click OK, and PS will start doing the same for each and every file, saving in a different folder.
Once it's done, open up JaPNG Editor, select the shots that were cropped and drag them to the window; you'll see a preview that shows the Pokémon really slow, you'll have to edit the display time (I normally use 33ms, but this may vary, try to compare it to the game), if you're using two-timed moves, you'll have to check that some of the frames need to have a longer duration (500ms, so the people can see it). And I normally use 500ms and 1000ms on the first and last frame.
Don't forget, though, that people don't use Firefox, and as such, they might not see the animated file, so we need to choose a frame (drag and drop it from the folder to the top) that suits the move the best, drag it to the top and then check skip first frame. That way, you'll see the animated frame, but they can see a preview of the move instead of watching the two Pokémon look at each other, not doing anything.
With that done, you double check in the preview to see if something's missing, and then upload it to Archives. You can see my contributions on Archives and see what I'm talking about.
If you have any other questions, you can ask me, I'll try to make it more clear for you. Masatoshitalk 17:30, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

Hi-Res 5th Gen Sugimori art

Hi Nate,

If you guys out there at BulbaPedia need Hi-Res Sugimori art of the BW Pokemon (rather than the very small ones), here's a useful link from my website :

These are from official Japanese sources (websites, magazines etc...) and are way better than the actual BW Sugimori art that BulbaPedia have. Feel free to use them. TokoyamiTheDark 21:23, 24 February 2011 (UTC)

I saw it. Most 5th Gen Pokemon has better Sugimori art, like the ones I have in my Sugimori Page on my website. Forget what I said, OK?TokoyamiTheDark 21:37, 24 February 2011 (UTC)

Excuse me, but who is Falk? --Nathan2055talk 20:00, 25 February 2011 (UTC)
A user who had five or so multiple accounts when we first caught him, and blocked him for a little while. He also harassed multiple people via e-mail. He constantly kept making accounts, and in turn was given a more and more intense block. Currently, he has upwards of about 40 accounts and a infi-block. Just making the relevant changes as I go along, so I'll clean up once I get up to Triumphant, just in case you're wondering. I also feel "Expansion" is more accurate than "Booster" for the characters "拡張" used in the Japanese names for Base Set, Expedition and EX Ruby & Sapphire. I'll need the redirect pages I made for Base Set and Expedition (First Shot: Booster Pack and Base Booster Pack 1, respectively) deleted. I do a have a little conundrum though; the Japanese names for Base Set and EX R&S are the same, so do I just call one "Expansion Pack" and one "Expansion Pack (ADV)", or something along those lines? I don't know... ~~nuva-kal 16:22, 26 February 2011 (UTC)

Maybe Expansion Pack, and ADV Expansion Pack. Having parenthetical Addons showing in links makes it look messy to me. And don't worry about the mess: I'm doing it too. So many needed categories and such. It'll be clean soon enough. We just need to keep working at it, and it'll be worth it at the end. MaverickNate 16:28, 26 February 2011 (UTC)

Celebi Zorua Jumbo Card

Hey Nate, since you're usually the guy doing the Pokémon TCG pages I was wondering how I go about getting an image for for this card as I have the physical one here, but scanning it just doesn't cut it. I could always take a pictured with my D3100 or whatever's better. I've got a scan of it right now so I'm hoping that will do for now until you know... Thanks! —MasterKenobi 04:06, 27 February 2011 (UTC)

Can I see the scan? That's typically what we go for. Camera pictures typically come out trapezoidal and off colored. MaverickNate 04:25, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
Sorry for the wait. It did not want to upload as a PNG, so I switched it to a JPG and then after several tries it finally gave in. Not as high quality as the PNG, but here it is. —MasterKenobi 04:47, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
I guess we got what we got. Thanks. I'll do the appropriate moves. MaverickNate 04:50, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
Your file size seems to be a bit large. That was probably the problem. Maybe if you find a way to compress your png, you'd have been able to upload it as that. MaverickNate 04:53, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
This is going to be a really long night as all my pictures are super High-Quality. Do you by chance know the best way to compress PNG's? Thanks. —MasterKenobi 04:56, 27 February 2011 (UTC)

Nevermind on the compressing PNG's, as I figured JPG isn't all that bad. While I have your attention though, who would I talk about the possibility of watermarking photos for an article so they aren't stolen? Thanks. —MasterKenobi 05:12, 27 February 2011 (UTC)

Probably Jello, since she's head of Archives. But if it is any consolation, during the year or so I was EiC there, watermarking was never allowed to be used, and I don't think they changed that rule since I passed the torch. MaverickNate 05:16, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
It probably still stands then. The one thing I'm worried about is someone taking one of the pictures that I've got and claiming it as their own... —MasterKenobi 05:20, 27 February 2011 (UTC)

Hilbert and Hilda

As much as I hate those names with a fiery passion, the player is NOT given the choice to name his/her partner in the Battle Subway. It's pretty damn certain that those are the official names. 梅子 16:45, 2 March 2011 (UTC)

I'm agreeing with her on this. Otherwise, how would their names be Touko and Touya in the first place, if said names are chosen? It's static. Luna Tiger * the Arc Toraph 17:01, 2 March 2011 (UTC)
The thinking we had late last night was that there were several names applied to each of the characters, and we wanted to wait for better confirmation of Hilbert and Hilda as a security measure. Umeko provided said evidence, so we are good to go. Also, thank you for not being rude like the comment below. MaverickNate 19:34, 2 March 2011 (UTC)

Why did you move Hilbert and Hilda back? It was obvious that those are NPC names from the screenshots. 1. The playing character is silent 2. The playing character doesn't have "PKMN Trainer" title.

Really, why? --Maxim 18:40, 2 March 2011 (UTC)

You took out the Dark Magcargo thing of Ball of Flame. Why? Pokedex493 04:35, 4 March 2011 (UTC)

Read the Magcargo article, specifically the origin. The Ball of Flame attack is from the games, which is pretty ridiculous to have on the page dedicated to moves NOT in the Pokémon games. MaverickNate 04:38, 4 March 2011 (UTC)
What the heck?! Ball of Flame is a move?! I did not know that. Pokedex493 04:41, 4 March 2011 (UTC)

Card scans

Hey Mav,
I've got a few English cards that have a Japanese scan on the wiki, should I scan them, or is there no real policy to replace Japanese scans with English ones? たかはり 02:23, 17 April 2011 (UTC)

Just as long as it is equal or greater quality. Do one and link me, and I'll see if what you do is good enough. MaverickNate 08:22, 17 April 2011 (UTC)
Can I also scan cards like the HS series "reprints" in Call of Legends and put them in a gallery on the card's page (like, for example, the Call of Legends print of this card? I found a card dealing site with high quality English scans. ~たかはりい 06:49, 16 May 2011 (UTC)
I know of the needed call of Legends scans. We shouldn't be taking images from other sites. They really do need scanned. MaverickNate 07:57, 16 May 2011 (UTC)
Okay. If you wanted to know anyway, Collector's Cache has good scans, as you can see. I figured that we should be scanning cards ourselves, but its the same picture, anyway. ~たかはりい 00:26, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
When I get home from college, I'll be able to scan my cards. I have most of them, and I'll be able to ask a collector friend for the ones I don't have. Three weeks is all I ask for. MaverickNate 05:12, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
Got it ;) ~たかはりい 07:56, 17 May 2011 (UTC)

Please try listening

When it says that she is available to fight in three leagues and of those three leagues she can be fought four times, that is not repeating the same thing. Plus you then change the layout of a single article that is the same of all the characters of the PTCGO repeatedly and then warn me? I don't see how your thought process is working on this?

Looking again it appears as though you aren't warning me but blocking a page from being edited of which new information for that page might be available upon next maintenance of the game which happens being your blocking... this thought process of yours is quite confusing... felinoel 07:02, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

Hm, it appears as if you aren't the person who repeatedly removed info thinking it was repeated info, you are just the person who blocked it so that when new info comes out like the new league being promised soon, it can't be added, my mistake. felinoel 07:06, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
Not really. I'm just stopping a bad editor from reverting someone who is actually trying her best to improve the articles, which were poorly made in the first place. My thought process is amazing. MaverickNate 07:04, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
It had been at least a month, maybe more, and no one even touched the PTCGO game for this site, my apologies for trying to put at least some info on it and then trying to keep the continuity between the character articles, someone comes along and changes only one of the character articles and then ignores the rest? I guess it should be expected from a site that protects fluff and speculation, my apologies for expecting otherwise from this site. felinoel 07:10, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
She's not ignoring the rest. If you didn't notice the recent change to Ella, she's going through one by one to fix them. There are quite a few editors who enjoy getting everything perfect the first time they edit a page, but getting things perfect takes a bit of time in order to be worth it in the end. People aren't going in to change one character and leave. You just happen to be too impatient. We typically want quality the first time, and that could be the reason why no one has touched the area yet. And, within the past month or so, there have been many more releases throughout the fandom. Not making it to one thing instantly is not a horrible thing. It's just what happens. I guess thanks for starting stuff, but please quit reverting the people who know what they are doing. MaverickNate 07:17, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
Key word there is recent, it only happened after I posted on their talk page that I was sorry and that I was hoping to keep continuity and something along those lines possibly, but seeing as how you were the one to block it could you please correct the incorrect information I mention Talk:Kendall_(TCGO)? For your information, the reason why I undid the edits was because the only main changes made were incorrect and left some info out. felinoel 07:28, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
Fixing spelling mistakes, grammar issues, redlinks, and link templates are all also major changes. Undoing it all is a very inconsiderate move. You should NEVER revert the whole thing when there were legitimate improvements to the page. Go in manually and make the appropriate changes instead. MaverickNate 07:40, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
I didn't see any of those, and I did not revert the whole thing, I kept the addition of the Project TCG thing? ...and what happened to the post I made on that discussion page? Thankfully I saved it before it apparently got deleted.
Kendall makes it to the Gold League's quarterfinals but loses to Tyson.

For your information, Kendall most certainly does not make it to the Gold League's quarterfinals, she makes it to the Gold League's Playoff's quarterfinals, which is completely different and as I tried to stop this false information from being changed this page got locked after the incorrect information was posted. So am I to guess that this site protects known wrong information instead of just speculation that later turns out to be wrong? felinoel 07:20, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

Anyways I see now it has been fixed but playoffs has been lowercased meaning the playoffs aren't an important event for some reason? Aren't playoffs usually important? Especially when they are the playoffs of a league? felinoel 07:47, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
I clicked that red link of what I posted to you and it appears as though it has not been deleted? Why did you put the redlink template over it? Kinda confusing... felinoel 07:48, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

Black & White TCG Series merchandise MaverickNate 14:03, 29 April 2011 (UTC)
How about maybe connecting the two pages? I think the page feels incomplete without them (all of the B&W tins, since it's well...a page about tins), and I'm sure people will be more likely to find the Collector_Tins_(TCG) page first before the Black & White TCG Series merchandise page. I want your thoughts first. Sir VG 10:08, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
The plan is eventually to delete the collector's tin pages and instead make pages like the merchandise page. I have preliminary work written out for the HeartGold & SoulSilver TCG Series merchandise page, I just never got around to writing it yet, with things like the release of Black & White, and the Trainer card infobox update. They'll happen eventually. Maybe we could put a note on the top of the Collector tin article. MaverickNate 14:08, 30 April 2011 (UTC)

Three Neo Revelation cards

So my friend showed me this over video chat, that there are three cards (Lugia (Neo Revelation 20), Ho-Oh (Neo Revelation 18), and Skarmory (Neo Revelation 23)) that have inter-connected artwork. Lugia's head+wing and Skarmory's wing are in Ho-Oh's art, and Ho-Oh's tail feathers are in Skarmory's and Lugia's (Skarmory's card needs to be turned counterclockwise for it to line up with Ho-Oh's artwork). Is that notable? Luna Tiger * the Arc Toraph 13:23, 9 May 2011 (UTC)

It just means they originate from the same set together. Those ones specifically come from the Neo 3 Premium File. Cards do this all the time. MaverickNate 16:27, 9 May 2011 (UTC)

Hey there.

I know this is generally your job, but I happened to notice that Anville Town, listed as a featured stub, was undeniably no longer a stub. As a result, I switched it to Half deck (TCG). I know there's a traditional order of games-anime-whatever (or something like that) as far as featured stubs go, but the other two are still stubs and I figued I'd change it up a little bit. Half deck is an accessible article that I think a number of people will hopefully be able to contribute to, so I think having it there could be productive for a time.

In any case, just figured I'd let you know. Feel free to change it when you log on. Just thought changing it would be better than nothing, even if it's just for a short while until you fix it. Thanks. --P o L i 16:23, 10 May 2011 (UTC)

It's fine. I would have kept Anville Town there, until someone was able to fill in why the incomplete tag was still there. Those count too. MaverickNate 20:19, 10 May 2011 (UTC)

Pidgeot TCG origin

Just curious, but how is it that you can say the card's attack was based on a move that didn't even exist at the time? --Transfinite | Talk 22:48, 10 May 2011 (UTC)

It should be worded in a way that reflects that it didn't exist at the time; however, we are fixing pages in a very systematic order, and that card hasn't come up in the rotation yet. Please don't remove anymore. All the ones that match by either English name and Japanese name have been search diligently, and I personally don't want to have to triple check everything again just because someone decided to remove things. I will add it just so we know it exists: however, as the orphaned pages already have a special page, I don't really think it is needed. Can't Upload New Versions of Many Images

Hi again, so I did what you suggested and went to he Archives to upload new versions of images I had replacements for, only to find that a large majority of the images appear to be protected. I can't upload new versions of any of the Episode Images (I tried images from various seasons, all lacked the "Upload New Version" link), images such as a picture of Officer Jenny from the anime (not the main picture of her from BW, a screencap of a scene in the Kanto season). Is there something wrong specifically with my account, or are hundreds of images protected for no apparent reason? GetOutOfBox 15:11, 2 July 2011 (UTC)

Yesterday, when I said that card images are rarely protected, that was only specific to cards. Anime episode images, on the other hand, are more likely to be protected: especially the episode headers. All those changes typically need to go through the anime head, Kenji-girl. When the images weren't protected, lots of people would upload new screenshots based on what they personally thought was better, and many revert wars broke loose. MaverickNate 15:46, 2 July 2011 (UTC)
Ah, ok. So if I have a suggestion for an improved image, should I upload it and send her a link for the file to approve? GetOutOfBox 18:33, 2 July 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, that sounds like it should work. You need to have a legitimate reason for the change though, like if the current one spoils something. MaverickNate 18:45, 2 July 2011 (UTC)
What if I simply have a higher quality version? I noticed that many of the anime images are terrible dark/poorly compressed. If I have one that's easier on the eyes, is that a worthy reason? GetOutOfBox 18:48, 2 July 2011 (UTC)

Romanization issue

Hello! I'm not exactly sure which person is the best to discuss the issue that I've come across with a user named Maxim (I apologize, I don't know how to use the special link to the username and talk page.) First of all, Maxim decides to undo/edit the korean romanization that I worked on. He/she could've just waited till I had replied or asked for another person's opinions. I think it was a bit too rashful, especially the side comments that Maxim makes after each edits. I don't know, maybe I'm wrong, but I certainly am not the only one. Han Ji-Wan 22:40, 15 July 2011 (UTC)

I actually saw this going on all day. As I am not really familiar with the way we handle Korean romanizations, I didn't want to get involved in making a decision on what to do; however, I do believe how Maxim went around and changed them without discussing it with anyone-including the person who did them (you)-was not a good idea. His condescending tone and word choice are usually something we administration have a problem with, and it's hard for us to deal with as well. The best advice I can give is to bring the issue up with MAGNEDETH, as he will be able to spearhead a debate on why either you or maxim is the correct one. Though I unfortunately know barely any of the EB knows about the korean language. Tell him that I sent you. I will also have a word with him later today about it when he returns. New cards

By the way, since I know you handle a lot of the TCG stuff, I've got the text for all the Emerging Powers cards and BW promos up to 28 out of the TCG Online site, if you'd be interested in it. There should be pictures too, if they're needed, but they're low quality and just of the illustration. Bluesun 16:59, 19 August 2011 (UTC)

Nah, I already know exactly all you have. I've been looking into the TCGO too. ;] MaverickNate 17:21, 19 August 2011 (UTC)

New setlist template

I've made a new setlist template to use on all of the expansion pages in my userspace. This one is more Japanese expansion friendly than TTEs current template used on the first few expansions, and will eliminate the need to delete all of the TCG ID entries. It is all set up for promotional lists as well. If you can think of anything else that would be useful to include, let me know. ~~nuva-kal 17:38, 31 August 2011 (UTC)

I'd be able to say something about it if I could see it in action. Could you make a test page for it? And, if we are going to be going around to all the set pages, I'll finish my new TCG Navigation and we can add that to the pages at the same time. MaverickNate 18:19, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
Here you go. ~~nuva-kal 13:00, 1 September 2011 (UTC)
Can we throw the set symbol in the top corner? MaverickNate 13:21, 1 September 2011 (UTC)
I was debating whether or not to put it in there since it is in the expansion infobox at the top of the page. It may look a bit redundant for expansions that don't have a lot of information about them, though it will be useful for ones that have different symbols in comparison to their Japanese releases. ~~nuva-kal 12:20, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
It's wonderful regardless. My goal for today is to get all the new psycho blizzard cards taken care of and then my navigation set up. Your template looks like it could start being implemented though. MaverickNate 13:51, 2 September 2011 (UTC)

Imakuni?'s Doduo

"Wrong, they have the same english name" Are you fucking serious? The card was never released in English. It doesn't have an English name. That its Japanese name can be translated into English the same way as something completely different's English name is meaningless. You are everything that is wrong with this wiki. --Transfinite | Talk 08:21, 19 September 2011 (UTC)

So... no response? You just revert my absolutely correct edit without bothering to explain yourself? Oh, okay. --Transfinite | Talk 21:42, 26 September 2011 (UTC)
Why should I have dignified you with a response? If you are going to cuss me out for fixing something you ripped out of standard, then you don't deserve a response. MaverickNate 18:58, 27 September 2011 (UTC)
Something I ripped out of what? You're the one who thinks that a Gen I card was based on a Gen III ability it doesn't even share a name with. --Transfinite | Talk 20:49, 27 September 2011 (UTC)
In no way does it say that they are based on one another. In fact, it mentions how they only share similar names. MaverickNate 15:49, 28 September 2011 (UTC)
So "origin" implies what, exactly? I thought we were supposed to be reducing the amount of BS trivia. --Transfinite | Talk 21:58, 28 September 2011 (UTC)

Mystery Dungeon Image Naming

For Mystery Dungeon move images, what should be the naming policy. Geo suggested PMD_<movename.jpg here. I personally am a bit iffy about the .jpg extension, seeing no reason not to have it in .png format like all the other move images. Geo also said I should probably get in contact with you as you were the person most involved in the archives. What are your thoughts?--Chalkwriter 17:15, 12 November 2011 (UTC)

Nate?--Chalkwriter 17:32, 23 November 2011 (UTC)
They should definitely be in png format. As for the name, I'm pretty sure the other move images are File:<name> <gen code>.png, so they should probably be "File:<name> PMD.png. MaverickNate 17:35, 23 November 2011 (UTC)

Hey Nate, any reason not to remove this? there are no Pokémon games for it and there were no planned Pokémon games for it... my understanding was that any console without Pokémon games, even by Nintendo, had no reason for an article. Makes sense for Zelda Wiki, but not us. Any thoughts? :P --ZestyCactus 22:38, 19 November 2011 (UTC)

While not a game, there was a magazine broadcast monthly in 1998 for the Satellaview concerning Pokémon, "Monthly Coin Toss ~Pokémon Card Game Magazine~". Hardly anyone seems to know about it though, but it appears it had 6 issues, named 'Deck's, as well as a preview 'issue 0'.
It has various data about the card game, advertising new releases, listing products, giving deck advice and strategies and so on. Bluesun 00:48, 20 November 2011 (UTC)

Hold on a second

Pages with that double progect tag are supposed to have that thing at the end? Truthseeker4449 01:43, 22 November 2011 (UTC)

It's a customizable add on that is placed to make things flow better. MaverickNate 02:33, 22 November 2011 (UTC)
But do they need to be there, because me and YoshisWorld have been messing with double tags since mid Novemember. Truthseeker4449 03:02, 22 November 2011 (UTC)
They don't need to be there, no. But if they are already there, then there was a reason for it. When i had the double project tag commissioned to be made, the intent of the customizable statement was to be more precise when necessary. MaverickNate 04:47, 22 November 2011 (UTC)
The naming of some projects is rather inappropriate. For example: character dex.which of the following is better:
"This article is part of both Project TCG and Project CharacterDex, Bulbapedia projects that aim to write comprehensive articles on the Pokémon TCG and CharacterDex, respectively." OR
"This article is part of both Project TCG and Project CharacterDex, Bulbapedia projects that aim to write comprehensive articles on the Pokémon Trading Card Game and on each character found in the Pokémon games respectively. "
The extra parameter was to keep awkward wordings and phrasings from happening. Removing them is anti productive. MaverickNate 04:54, 22 November 2011 (UTC)
I have always thought that there are more efficient ways to do it than that extra parameter. My preferred way would be to set up a switch that puts a specific message for each project, so "CharacterDex" would result in "each character found in the Pokémon games", while "TCG" would result in "Pokémon Trading Card Game". --SnorlaxMonster 10:23, 22 November 2011 (UTC)
So then we'll stop removing those extra parameters...unless they say the exact same thing as when we just do the DoubleTag by itself. --☆ヨッシ の世界☆ 13:00, 22 November 2011 (UTC)
I like SM's idea of just reworking the template because a quick glance at both of our contribs reveals about 500 combined tag edits. Truthseeker4449 13:24, 22 November 2011 (UTC)
They don't all result that way. I do believe TCG and locations has a custom message that incorporates both together into one project focus. Maybe this will teach you to learn exactly how things work before going around and doing 500 edits. If I remember correctly, this is the second template you two have done this for? MaverickNate 15:48, 22 November 2011 (UTC)
We are still adding line breaks, just this time we are adding DPTs to the mix. And I don't seem to recall ever reading anything about needing to get advice before doing a large number of edits. If there is something that says that please give me a link. Truthseeker4449 21:34, 22 November 2011 (UTC)
So we don't have to remove those extra parameters, end of discussion. Sorry for the hassle Nate. --☆ヨッシ の世界☆ 23:51, 22 November 2011 (UTC)

TCG-only moves template

I've got one ready to be moved, its almost exactly the same as the one currently in use, but in actual template form. Vuvuzela2010 Δ 17:18, 26 November 2011 (UTC)

Unfortunately, that's not the way it needs to be. MaverickNate 19:52, 26 November 2011 (UTC)
Well, what should I do to improve it? Vuvuzela2010 Δ 20:32, 26 November 2011 (UTC)
Honestly, I'm not sure. I know that it's not enough, and the way it is now doesn't match the way all the rest of the templates are done. TCG only moves hasn't been something I've thought much about, because at one time, I think it was decided they were going to be removed, but then no one ever actually did it. If we were to do it, Id like to list the effect, and possibly the card levels if they have them, and have the costs separated for each release. However, it is unfortunately not a priority right now to fix that aspect of the TCG. You can do whatever you see fit, but it will probably be updated again eventually. And when I say eventually, it means like, three years from now at the rate everything else goes. MaverickNate 20:41, 26 November 2011 (UTC)

Dragon Selection

Why did you change back my edit on the Dragon Selection page? Metalizard 21:58, 12 December 2011 (UTC)Metalizard

Because none of the types are confirmed. All we know is that those Pokémon will be appearing AND that the Dragon type is introduced. none of the types of the Pokémon are confirmed. MaverickNate 22:05, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
lol... The set introduces the Dragon-type to the TCG; all the pokémon currently listed are, at least, Dragon-type in the games; what other type could they be? Do you really think they will include a Psychic-type Latias, for example, in a set that exclusively introduces the new Dragon type? I think it's pretty obvious they will all be of the new Dragon type... Metalizard 22:13, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
They is no confirmation that the Dragon type will be exclusively included in the set. You cannot say with 100% confirmation that any of the known Pokémon in that set will be Dragon type. Sure, it may be obvious some like Rayquaza will, but nothing has been confirmed. They may still have included the dual type Pokémon as the other types. MaverickNate 22:23, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
I'm not saying every pokémon in the set will be Dragon-type (If they include Kingdra as dragon-type for example, of course the horsea and seadra won't be Dragon-type). Still, every pokémon that is at least part-Dragon will most likely be featured with the new Dragon-type because that's the focus of the set. It's not confirmed, but it's obvious. But whatever, I was just editing in advance. When the set gets out, we'll see... Metalizard 22:41, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
At least, the pure-dragon types could have the symbol next to them, nah? Metalizard 22:44, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
No. The TCG does not follow the game typing rules. Example? Water type Lugia. MaverickNate 22:48, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
You're giving the example of an extremely rare case. There's Lugia and Torkoal from Pop1. Are those 2 enough now to make a rule? I don't think so... Metalizard 23:22, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
I'm not saying they make a rule. I'm saying they make exceptions. MaverickNate 23:23, 12 December 2011 (UTC)

See, I told you they would be featured with the new Dragon-type... Metalizard 19:56, 6 January 2012 (UTC)

I never doubted they would. But we only state facts. Nothing was known until yesterday. MaverickNate 00:20, 7 January 2012 (UTC)
Btw, why did you remove Dragonite from the list? I suppose you didn't see this: Metalizard 11:17, 7 January 2012 (UTC)
And why do Latias & Latios already have the dragon symbol next to them in the Type column, but the other Pokémon don't? Metalizard 11:25, 7 January 2012 (UTC)
I did not see the Dragonite. That can be added back in. Also, the types have always been in an order. The only Dragon Pokémon in between Salamence and Rayquaza are Latios and Latias. Two Pokémon...two spots. Must be those two. MaverickNate 04:45, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
No problem. As for Lati@s, I knew they were the pokémon for those spots, I just wasn't understanding why their type was confirmed, but nevermind, I understand now. Metalizard 12:16, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
Yeah. I also thought they would be there as well. There's just a limit as to what we can and cannot post as fact. MaverickNate 15:53, 9 January 2012 (UTC)

Dark Rush card list

I edited the Dark Rush page to complete the card list since all the cards have already been revealed. There might be some things that aren't totally correct regarding the editing so you should probably check that out. Metalizard 17:32, 14 December 2011 (UTC)

Dragon Blade/Dragon Blast

I changed the page because Dragon Blast is the one that features Hydreigon and Dragon Blade the one that features Garchomp and not the other way around. As such, I think that the order should also be reversed in the name of the page (eg: Dragon Blast/Dragon Blade). Metalizard 21:04, 30 December 2011 (UTC)

New Category proposal

I was wondering (and it's nothing essential, but potentially nifty) if a category could be created for cards that have received official erratas, either in the US or Japan. Mefredbob 13:19, 1 January 2012 (UTC)

That seems to be interesting. I think the two categories would need to be separate, because most Japanese erratas are skipped over and instantly applied in english. There's a lot I want to do for the TCG. MaverickNate 16:21, 1 January 2012 (UTC)

Heh heh

Sorry about that dude. I'm trying to learn how to work my way around by sending messages and I'm used to pms. I've also seen you on the forums. I guess, but it doesn't seem too much of an archetype, or that much of an article even. MaverickNate 23:16, 17 January 2012 (UTC)

Hey there

I have a bit of an issue. How should we handle dual-types in the deck archetype decklist table? I tried a few things, but none seem to work. I'm upgrading Metanite to the new standard, and this is the first time I've run into the problem of one of the cards being multiple types. It works fine in the old table, since you just place the energy symbols next to each other, but it breaks the new one. Know what I'm saying? What would you advise? --P o L i 20:22, 18 January 2012 (UTC)
