Trivia
- Despite being the Whirlwind Pokémon, it cannot learn Whirlwind.
Origin
Erufuun appears to be based on a fully bloomed ball of cotton. It also may draw some origin from the Vegetable Lamb of Tartary, which was a type of sheep-growing plant that was used to explain the production of cotton in the middle ages.
Name origin
Erufuun's name may derive from ふわふわ fuwa fuwa, meaning soft, fluffy, and light, or possibly from furo-to, float. Alternatively, it may be a portmanteau of the words elf and typhoon.
