User:TTEchidna/Trades Okay, well, that discussion's over with, clean slate time!
As always, contact me or any other administrators over AIM or something if there's a problem. Talk page notes don't appear to me until I log on here, which is about ten seconds before I hop on RC myself.
And don't forget, I'm still looking for an Ash, Dawn, and Brock voice for those YouTube English previews. TTEchidna

I'll be blunt and to the point. I'm sick of his crap. Every freaking time he makes an edit, he doesn't use link templates. Never. He has been warned exactly six times to do so. He doesn't categorize articles he creates. Never. He has been warned exactly thirteen times to do so. His information is more than occasionally inaccurate, and he seems to enjoy editing things just for the sake of editing them. Oh, and he has responded exactly zero times to requests that he adhere to the Manual of Style. Something needs done. --ニョロトノ666 01:50, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
Sproies?
Hey:P You left a comment about my Grammar and I have tried to improve it. But what is Sproies? You said Sproies and i dont know what it means.

Oh sorry. My Keyboard broke and its been typing random things. I dropped a heavy book on it :p User:David aipom
Thanks...
I guess I could use those... But I have NO IDEA what moves Silver's Pokémon know. So that would be kinda useless there... Since all I could use is this "--" for the movespace. Template:Team Though in actuality I could predict what moves the first battle's moves are since Cyndaquil only knows Tackle and Leer at Level 5. Though this would only be for the first battle and none else. (Though if I traded a Ditto I could tell all the moves.) Anyway, it'd look like this:

I'm nice to people (not like you aren't either but...) so I try to do stuff for people. I'm not sure why but I chose you to give this to, if you don't want it then nevermind. I know that you have the Teddiursa version but if you also want this one... The reason I made this one is the caption (in my opinion is hilarious) matches the picture very well. I find it funny especially when you look at the expanded image.
I swear I didn't know she was level 2. |
Anyway this is what it looks like enlarged.

Please tell this person that you can't predict levels in the anime. He or she keeps bugging me saying that Dai's Empoleon is level 41 or something because it learned Drill Peck. As most of us know, game mechanics are not the same as what happens in the anime. They're not listening to me so I thought they would listen to someone higher in power.
Also, he or she was implying I was a bitch. --☆ケンジガール 07:10, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
- That guy's a straight up suneva bith...From the gyms you can tell that levels don't exist in the anime. OptimatumTalk|Links2 May 2008
- Roll my eyes. Why the hell do these kids think that "lol what gamefaqs sez goes". That's where this stupidity "PIKACHYU IZ LEVEL 198349084 AND LOST TO ROARK ANIME IS DUMM" comes from. HERE'S how the anime works. EVERYTHING is level 100. It's just trained differently. Shō's Raichu had high offensive abilities, so Shō used them accordingly. Ash wasn't ready for it which is why he and Pikachu lost. TTEchidna 17:17, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
- 2 Things: 1, I was basing that anime DOES, (might have been a dub error or something but who cares?!) because in ep. 009 (the School of Hard Knocks) some boy says that Pidgey evolves at level 18 into Pidgeotto. (and) 2, NOBODY can take a joke. I don't have true intent to call anyone a bitch. Unless it's used for humor or puns, etc. Well... Actually 3 things: I hate gamefaqs. (So why would I listen to them? Though previously you didn't know that I hated it so nevermind.) Also, I'm a guy (Kenji-Girl said He or She). Rpp 02:34, 3 May 2008 (UTC)Rpp

Signature policy page
So, is the signature policy completely official as of now? I assume yes, but I'm double checking to be sure. I'd like to write up an official policy page for it, and I just want to make sure I've got permission/authority to do so. (aiming for a simple list of the policy's rules, and some explanation/tips for newer, less savvy users.) -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 20:13, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
- It's official, and has been since you started the job. If you wanna write the page, go for it. TTEchidna 01:15, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
- I'll get to work on it later. I figure a few tips on making a nice signature that doesn't break the policies might be nice, as well as a plain and simple explanation on how to actually sign your comments (and why you should). I'll try not to go overboard, too. =P -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 03:34, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

I think I did wrong with it. It puts Category:Link templates on the page it gets put on. It did on my talk page, at least. Porygon-Z 03:45, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

Hi! I didn't know where else to put this. But anyway, I'm interested in lending my voice for the project you guys are working on (episode previews for D/P: Battle Dimension). I can't do an impression of Dawn or anything, however. So I was thinking, a female-announcer type voice, perhaps? Also, the good news is that I have experience with my voice being recorded, since I've been on the Bulbacast a lot. I was a frequent call-in guest in the regular Bulbacast, and I was also a main speaker for the Bulbacast: English Edition. If you're interested in having me audition for this part, just let me know. ^_^ --PokemonTrainerLisa 09:01, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

What's Libarian Spanish? CoolPikachu!
- Iberian. As in, Spain's Spanish. The Iberian Peninsula. As opposed to Latin America, where they use Latin American Spanish. TTEchidna 00:17, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

- It's like British English vs American English. The countries, of course, are the United Kingdom vs Canada/United States. It's not United Kingdomian English. It's British.
- And it could be called Castillian Spanish, but there's a sub-language called Castillian, which is... kinda like an in between for Spanish and Latin. TTEchidna 00:23, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

- Articles for the Water 1, Fairy, Indeterminate, and Humanshape egg groups so I can edit the

- Make all Pokémon articles adhere to the standard (hoo boy, 493 of 'em?)...
- And more. Later. TTEchidna

- I think so. As far as I know, it's not Sky Forme and Land Forme (or Skye and Lande formes, either), and it's definitely not on Deoxys's forms. And they removed it from Origine, although I don't think they ever had it on Another. --Martonimos((Talk)) 09:55, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
- Exactly. Deoxys is Defense Form. Not Defence Forme or Defense Forme. The fake Olde Englishe is exclusive to Giratina... and maybe Arceuse... TTEchidna 10:06, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

- Well has Shaymin/Regigiggity-gigas's Sland/Sky Formes debuted yet? If not don't worry too much, but when referring to them as the form name always always name it as X Forme. Defense Forme, Origin Forme... so on. Yes. Forme.
- And that means we're gonna have to start naming them as Sandy Cloak/Trash Cloak/Plant Cloak Burmy/Wormadam, and West Sea/East Sea Shellos/Gastrodon... TTEchidna 02:11, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

I created a concept cartridge art for Platinum on Photoshop, and was wondering whether I could upload it to the Archives, noting that it is fake, and post it on a userpage? Only I don't want people to think that it is real. Just thought that I should ask first. Theininen 13:34, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

i recall you recently creating color templates for all the games. while i think a majority of them are a bit strong, im not here to say that. what i AM here to say is that most routes have poke listings and do not use the updated templates. see: Route 101. you wan this done, yes? -- MAGNEDETH 03:19, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
- Of course. TTEchidna 03:25, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
- well, i beat the game, so, ill put it on my list. i should be on more often now. on the point of colors though, why didnt you keep the same colors as before? example being that Emerald was "8f8" and the new one is much darker in color. it puts more emphasis the color, and less on what its representing. -- MAGNEDETH 03:57, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
Route 202
Since I'm doing my own Sinnoh-type walkthrough on my website, I've decided to help Bulbapedia where it's lacking (Particularly the early routes). Now, on my website, I will put the trainer's dialogue in with their small "profile". Aside from continuing the contribution to Bulbapedia with the trainers info such as how much money or experience the trainer and their Pokémon will give, would it be acceptable if somehow I fashioned a way to put dialogue in their own summary in the routes (next to them not randomly on the route page)? I'm just wondering and if it's not wanted I'll go about my business like usual. I talk to much... Anyway this is just asking since that would be more thorough... Rpp 17:07, 21 May 2008 (UTC)Rpp
- Well... try and set up a way of doing this and show me. We could make it a template. TTEchidna 23:25, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
- Is it okay if I don't do so for a while though? I'm kinda busy (despite what it sounds like). Plus I gotta think of the 'set-up'. I could get it done in a few days to a week. It's a matter of how much spare time I have to do so. (I spent some spare time doing Route 202 anyway...) Rpp 01:58, 22 May 2008 (UTC)Rpp
"Deoxys's four forms retconned"
When you say they were retconned, do you mean an "e" was added to "form"? Deoxys911 21:03, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
- He didn't say that, I did. And yes. I said as much in that paragraph. I recentl found out that "retcon" means "retroactive continuity," so it may not be the most appropriate term, but I still think it fits. --Martonimos((Talk)) 22:01, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

- Hokay. Deoxys911 just informed me on my talk page that apparently Deoxys's forms have always been Formes. Quote: "Deoxys's forms have always used the French "Forme" rather than "Form". At least, in things directly from Nintendo." Is he right, and I'm just incredibly out of the loop again? --Martonimos((Talk)) 23:37, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
- UPDATE: He provided this news report as an example. The text does say "forme" as well as "form" a few times. It could have been updated just like the Pokédex, though, so I've asked if he can provide a scan of a print source that would prove it. He said that Prima has been using the "Forme" spelling all along, too, so mabe it's in an Emerald strategy guide or something. Can anyone else confirm or deny this? --Martonimos((Talk)) 04:26, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
- Well then why the heck haven't we been using "Forme" this whole time? Hasn't anyone pointed this out? And WHY THE HECK NOT?
- Either way, FabuVinny just found the Forme thing on the Pokémon.com dex, and so we're using it now. And now we must use the official names for each Pokémon's forms: West Sea Shellos, Trash Cloak Wormadam, Speed Forme Deoxys. All that stuff. TTEchidna 07:42, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

Need to talk about something
First of all thank you for helping me with the move relearner info awhile back and just so you know I knew about it beforehand which I learned through testing after learning the specifics with Pokemon such as Dustox and Bellossom to confirm it and I don't care if my exact wording is modified since sometimes it takes more than one person to do the job.
But on to the main subject. With the introduction of Jessie's Yanmega in the anime while it was the first pokemon since Ash's Caterpie to evolve in the same episode it was caught, but there is also the matter of James' second Victrebell that also evolved in the same episode he acquired it (unlike his first Victreebell, which evolved offscreen) but the difference is that it was traded and not caught so do you think there should be some mention regarding this since I don't want to edit that page to avoid making trouble unintentionally? -Tyler53841 23:42, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
- James's second Weepinbell only evolved in less than one episode if Dawn's Aipom evolved in five. Since we don't know how long that thing was actually a Weepinbell, we can't really say much. TTEchidna 01:05, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
- I was thinking more along the lines of what it was when it first appeared in the series instead of any other forms, because is not related to it's first appearance, kind of like the miraculous evolution of May's Bulbasaur into Venusaur, because in that way there is no mention of Ivysaur because it was not part of the plot. -Tyler53841 02:33, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
Chinese Turtwig
I can roughly translate the Taiwan name of Turtwig. Does Bulbapedia need the Chinese name? Or would it be helpful if I gave the translation? Rpp 00:57, 23 May 2008 (UTC)Rpp
Uh!!!
"slaps head" I know you had to correct some of my unintentional mistakes and though I carefully tried to plan to avoid these issues earlier but after reflecting on it I seemed to realize that in terms of Pokémon breeding there are special breeding cases which all have one thing in common, they all use an item which affects their move compatibility. The most common breeding tends to use only set of Egg move for that Pokémon species, special breeding uses two set different sets of Egg Moves for two Pokémon of that species, though there are there are a few moves that belong to both and some as stated I stated before that belong to only one. Just like Evolutions Stones, using Incenses also has it's side effects because of the way it affects the ability to learn moves and the only noteworthy thing on this is how the ability for learning moves through breeding have changed through these special methods and my original intent was "same species but different move breeding standards" with the incenses. I also note that while using a Light Ball with Pikachu and Raichu to teach Pichu Volt Tackle is similar to special breeding, but it only teaches a new move in this case and not give access to a more Egg moves.
I also put a lot of work into putting this detailed game mechanic analysis together so you can try to understand where I am coming from on this even if want to delete these mechanics from the other pages completely. Also if you want I can tell you of another breeding trick I know of that is completely unrelated to this subject and is not posted yet which you might find intriguing. -Tyler53841 05:13, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
- Well, so? They have different egg moves, it's like expecting to get Outrage on a Blastoise when you breed it with a Dragonite. If something's not in the egg move list, it's not in the egg move list. Doesn't matter what it is.
- Mentioning it in a short sentence is better than going on for three paragraphs about it when it's as simple as that. Just say "All babies made with incense have different egg move lists than their evolved forms except for Wynaut which, like Wobbly, which has none anyway." That's really all you need to do. TTEchidna 05:34, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
Fine, I get the message but sometimes when I get completely serious like this I have a bad habit to make sure that I don't miss a thing because I like to look at things from the larger picture when I work hard to keep all the facts together when I write messages to other people other website talkpages at TV.com and Wikipedia. -Tyler53841 05:59, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
- Ew, Wikipedia. Just don't overblow things, though, all right? TTEchidna 06:01, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
- I usually exercise control when there are page standards to comply, but anyway I am done with Game Mechanic details for now, though I do know how to control on how a Pokémon can receive a particular nature and special ability when it's egg is picked up at daycare, I can't because Serebii.net has this information and I would prefer to avoid unintentional copyright issues. On a personal note I quit Wikipedia as a registered user because of it's growing corruption. -Tyler53841 06:58, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

- You have the nice benefit of "target audience" with Pokémon, too... Wikipedia is for everyone', so it stands to reason that since not everyone's necessarily nice, you'll have to deal with some of those people on the wiki. Bulbapedia, on the other hand... when's the last time you remember someone getting pissed off about Pokémon? I mean like, seriously pissed off. It's just so much harder to get angry over a game filled with Pichus and Pachirisus and Bunearys.
- Of course, big corporations like Wikia tend to add stress to just about any subject, but that's not a problem here, happily.

Welcome to Bulbapedia, TTEchidna!
As a new user, you may wish to learn a few things that will be useful in your editing:
- For a basic overview of wiki code, see this page.
- The manual of style is very important. Make sure to read it. It outlines all official policies of Bulbapedia.
- Keep an eye on the Messages from the Editor on the main page, to stay informed on current events on Bulbapedia.
- The word Pokémon is spelled with a capital P and an accented é. The P, of course, is accessed easily by holding Shift and pressing the P key, while the é can be accessed using Alt + 130 or Alt + 0233 on a Windows computer, and Option + e, then e again on a Mac. Otherwise, you can click it in the character palette below the editbox.
- The word Poké Ball is spelled as two words. The "Poké" part is identical to the four beginning letters in "Pokémon"; "Ball" is spelled with a capital B (which is, again, accessed by holding Shift and pressing the B key). The spelling "Pokéball" arises frequently, but is incorrect.
- The word "you" and all forms of it should not be used on encyclopedic pages unless it is a quote from Pokémon or other media. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, not a walkthrough.
- On talk pages, please sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
- The use of link templates is official policy. For an explanation on their use, see the page on shortlinks.
- If you happen to spot a vandal in the recent changes that has not been dealt with, please see this page for how to deal with it.
- A list of pages that are linked to, but have not been created, can be found at this page. A list of short articles that may require more information can be found here, while a list of articles that need improvement can be found here.
- For a future capture, release, trade, or evolution of a Pokémon belonging to a main character of the anime, please do not create or move the page to reflect your suspicions, even if they are shared by many others. Policy here is to wait until the episode in which the event happens takes place is aired, unless there is substantial evidence for the suspicion (such as Brock's Happiny being held in his arms).
- Image uploading is done on Bulbagarden Archives, a separate wiki accessible through the toolbox in the sidebar. You will have to register separately for it, as well. This is done so that both Bulbapedia and Bulbanews have access to the images uploaded.
- If you want to make a page about a character you made up, please create it at User:TTEchidna/Archive May-Jun 08/(name), not merely (name). Bulbapedia's main namespace is reserved for actual, official Pokémon, items, characters, and locations. Also, please try to make sure that subpages are not categorized by templates used within.
- Having said this, please make sure that you do contribute adequately to the main namespace. Bulbapedia is not MySpace or Facebook.
- A list of the admins that you can contact in case of a problem, can be found here.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!PM102 04:59, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

Bulbanews, "Forme"
It's not actually a retcon - Pokemon Ranger called Deoxys' forms "Forme". It's even in the official Nintendo Player's Guide.KrytenKoro 07:03, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
- As I later realized. But hey, no one cared before so now they went back to check their guidebooks and do! TTEchidna 07:04, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

- For all intents and purposes, we'll use "form" when not referring to a specific Pokémon's multiple forms, but Forme when referring to Deoxys Attack, Defense, Speed, and Normal and Giratina Origin and Another. Burmy and Wormadam are Plant, Sandy, and Trash Cloak, Shellos and Gastrodon are West Sea and East Sea. TTEchidna 00:43, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

- (EC) So long as you can convince people to use the page rather then your own talk page, then it doesn't matter where you put the "noticeboard". We got a Admin Noticeboard on GuildWiki not too long ago, becuase it was getting tough for users to figure out who to ask for help. The hardest part then was getting people to use it, since most users didn't know it was in place. (it might also by mildly important that all the admins know it's there too.)
- We've also got a "Request Assistance" page, that sees a lot of use. Basically, anyone can post questions there, be they wiki questions (such as when you can remove a Stub tag) to game questions (in our case, "where do I unlock Livia?", in Bulbapedia's case, "where do I go to train Attack EVs?"). Something like that might be useful, we're already a big resource for Pokémon gamers, I'd like to think. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 07:44, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
- Well, I suppose that'd work best. I'll see about setting up a page like that tomorrow evening. TTEchidna 07:50, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
- Only problem with that is that it doesn't really fix the problem of having no admins on for a few hours. Sure, you can request assistance, but if no admin's there to see it, what good will it do? As a concept, it's fine, but it doesn't address that problem. Glinn Mgraw 08:08, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
- A lot of warnings can be given out by regular users as well, so a simple place to post stuff like that might make it easier for others to pitch in. Maybe even make it simple to find more admins. Who knows. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 18:01, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

I actually wasn't going to do anymore anyway, and I left a lot, most of which only had one sentence in the introductory paragraph; I just thought that the articles' information was sufficient. i really like the new tables, and im going to guess it took lots of time and effort to create them. that being said, i only have one question. is it possible to span a column? as in, Bulbasaur learns the powders at 13. listing 13 twice seems redundant if we can span like the old table. it really becomes a possible prob with evolution. basically listing "Previous" over and over. if it cant be done, then oh well. -- MAGNEDETH 03:01, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

can you please protect User_talk:Origamiguy/Archive1? OrigamiGuy-Talk-Contribs-Mudkipz 11:09, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
- Really no need to protect an archive, unless you're repeatedly running into problems with other people editing them. You'll probably want to retain the ability to edit your own archives anyway, you know?
- Oh, but I did add a nifty bit of coding to your archive... __NOEDITSECTION__ is a bit of code that's built-in to MediaWiki, and when you add it to a page, it disables section editing. (that's the little [edit] buttons next to each section.) You can still edit the entire page, but it makes it impossible for a user to edit just a section, so it's a nice deterrent to anyone trying to revive a conversation on the wrong page. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 12:31, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
Sig Colors
How do you know the numbers? One of the users (think it was Shiny Noctowl) used to have a tutorial, but I can't find it. Theininen 18:15, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
- Colors are in hexadecimal code, in three sections: red, green, and blue. #FFFFFF is white, #000000 is black, and all colors in between are a mixture of red, green, and blue. In this way you can get #FFD700, which is gold. TTEchidna 21:20, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

- I have two words: Lol no. Six-month adminship? Ha! Haha! No. Bulbapedia's not the corrupt one by far, and electing new admins every half year would screw things up more than anything because then we could have idiot vandals coming in every three seconds reregistering with a bunch of different IPs by proxies and getting themselves into the high positions, vandalizing everything, and generally just screwing everything up.
- The internet's not a democracy because there are no leaders. There's no need for a democracy because we're not out declaring war on other websites and shit. Get it?
- I agree that we may need users to suggest who could be Bulbapedia admins because really, it takes too long for us to go on ahead and choose someone. And as for being equal on the choice of an image? Yes, we ought to be equal, but when some user's like "LETZ YOUS THIS RETARTED IMG OF GLATRA over something actually good-looking and crisp... honestly. We have the power to enforce the MoS and we're all level-headed with most everyone.
- Harsh bans? What, like two weeks? OH NOES I CANNOT EDIT BULBAPEDIA FOR TWO WEEKS WHAT SHALL I DO. Appeals start at the one-month mark, since that's a damn long time, but two weeks isn't too long. I agree that maybe it was a long time for whatever that offense was but eh, it's just two weeks. Wikis are an addiction and any time off from them should be a blessing, especially Bulbapedia where we've got morons who refuse to use the LTs and such. I mean, a two-week ban from a wiki would be like having a kid arrested for drinking in public and put in jail for the night being allowed to appeal to a judge to get out at 2 AM instead of 8. WHAT AN INJUSTICE.
- Also, style is handled by our style editors... and me. We do ask your opinion once in a while, but it's a lot easier if everyone has something like AIM to communicate.
- So, in closing, wanna stop a corrupt wiki from being corrupt? Go after Wikipedia. At least Bulbapedia's not giving idiots who don't deserve it administratorship. TTEchidna 21:37, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
- Additionally: I'm an Anon. I'm easily the most freedom-allowing kind of person there is, but there's a point where democracy just leads to an overall quality decrease and we end up something like a certain spongey wiki. TTEchidna 21:50, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

User rights, site .js, and a big fat head.
Two out of three here, at least.
Anyways, I know a wiki-wizard from one of the other wikis I'm on... he created a very nice-looking expand/collapse javascript coding, which he said we can use. But due to our different copyright here, he'd like to write it up here himself...
He normally uses the name User:Poke across all wikis, and he noticed that there's already a User:Poke here. But our Poke has no contributions whatsoever, and was created sometime last year. He'd like to know if it's possible to have that account deleted or renamed, so he can keep his original name. So, is it possible? I know you can manage user rights, so I assume you've got the same tools as Zhen...
this is his main wiki page, he makes a lot of java tools for the wiki. And this is the coding itself... nice and pretty... -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 22:41, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

In your Anime teams sub-page, I saw that you have made great articles on most of the anime people. You've however missed someone as important as Misty and instead made one for Tracey. Why didn't you make one for Misty who is more important than Tracey (& in my personal opinion, the most beautiful girl in the anime)? It's not as if I want to become one right now but have I ruined my chances of becoming an admin with the Kenji-Girl thing or what? Also, how many edits would put me under consideration (for an elective or whatever to be an admin)? Rpp 01:26, 11 June 2008 (UTC)Rpp
User talk user tags
So. Guess who gets to be the hard-ass here.
People are putting user tags on their user talk pages "until the ban's over." The thing is, some of them are doing repetitive edits the same they did to the user space before the ban. This has been brought up before, and Shiningpikablu252 put a stop to it, but since then, nobody's really been doing much. There's an ongoing discussion on Fabu-Vinny's talk page, and I was just hoping to get your opinion on this, as you are "The all-purpose admin of pure awesomeness" (credit to Politoed666 for that one). --Martonimos((Argh|Blargh)) 07:50, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

Switch
It wouldn't be very hard to add them. I just used this to generate them, so I can just use it again. --Shiny Noctowl 11:58, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
- It's not that it'd be hard to add them... it's that it'd stress the server a lot with it being edited every two days and used on so many pages. TTEchidna 22:35, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
- We wouldn't have to update them until all the names were revealed. (I highly doubt we'd get good-quality sprites as soon as the Pokémon were first revealed, anyway.) Therefore, there would only be two updates: One when all the Japanese names had been revealed, and another when all the American names had been revealed. --Shiny Noctowl 22:38, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, as if people would wait for that... we'd either forget or jump the gun. And with 500+ names to check, well, look at it this way. If it's Bulbasaur it's fine, but to be Arceus it's gotta check through 492 entries, and if someone spells the name wrong, well jeez, do you have a default statement, for name being MissingNo. and for number being 000? Because if not... well I don't wanna see how it turns out.
- Either way, the sprite template has the ndex thing on each of the 493 pages anyway, so there's no real need to remove it. There'd be better uses of the switch template anyway, like determining which heading to use on a template depending on a number entered in, rather than having four templates, you know? TTEchidna 22:47, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
- But could the switch template still be used on other templates, if any new templates are made? --Shiny Noctowl 22:53, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

Movelist templates
I think it'd look tidier with the images such as , Tough. I'd change it but first off, I dunno what the reaction would be and secondly, I'm not too familiar with Wikicoding at the moment. Gywall(Talk) 08:40, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
- Well, the problem with those...
- They don't link to the page they ought to.
- They increase server load because there's so many of them on one page.
- They don't resize for text resizing, meaning there's a problem.
- They aren't searchable by search engines even with alternate text enabled.
- They're kinda hard to see.
- And so, we're not using them anymore. Plus I'd recommend against screwing with all four mlentry and mtentry templates... TTEchidna 03:47, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
- I actually have to agree with Gywall here, in that those images were nice for the old template. And about the text resizing messing up the pictures in relation to the rest of the table, wouldn't that have also happened with the old moveset style?
- But if that really can't be avoided, like those five points you said, then I would at least suggest making the background colors of the Physical/Special/Status match the colors of the buttons, then it would at least look more like the icons. I have the RGB values for them too. I did a little picture editing on the template in a paint program, and I like how these look. I highly reccommend changing them. The colors are-
- for Physical, #C92112.
- for Special, #4F5870.
- for Status, #8C888C.

Quick question.
Sorry to bother you, I feel I need another opinion. On the Starter Pokémon talk page, I started a discussion on how Starter Pokémon always seem to obey even if their level passes the Badge requirement. I was told that any Pokémon captured in-game will obey, just not traded ones. The page on Badges doesn't specifically state that only high-level traded Pokémon won't obey, so is it true that all captured Pokémon will obey regardless? ~$aturn¥oshi THE VOICES 20:09, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
- I think it's only traded Pokémon that don't obey, so that if you're training hard for one of the gyms and you pass the level barrier you won't be screwed over. I mean, it's level 30 after beating Gym 2, but you might need a level 31 Pokémon to beat Gardenia for whatever reason. TTEchidna 01:49, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
- actually, whether or not a pokemon likes you or not gives the variable as to whether or not it will obey after you pass a level. so, if you catch one over the limit, you may have problems because it doesnt like you. -- MAGNEDETH 03:06, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

New TCG Deck Infoboxes
Hi there, whilst you were away I got creative and made some new deck infoboxes for the TCG theme deck and half deck pages. There are three of them, at Bulbapedia:Sandbox#Deck Infoboxes. Let me know what you think and if I'm okay to implement them.
Also, below that is a set infobox for Aquapolis, including details from both e-Card 2 and e-Card 3 - let me know if you like that as well, or if there's anything that needs to be changed, as I'd quite like to implement that too. All it'd mean would be moving the e-Card card lists to the Aquapolis page and redirecting the pages. It'd probably be easy to do for Skyridge too. Cheers, Cipher 09:42, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
- Well, those aren't deck infoboxes, those are deck navigation templates. All good, though. And the Aquapolis infobox, looks good to me. TTEchidna 19:01, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
- Navigation templates, that's what I meant, sorry. So is everything there good to start implementing? Cipher 19:21, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
Project GlitchDex external links problem
Most of the Project GlitchDex pages link to Glitch City Laboratories in the external links section. Said site has been down for a while and there has been no indication of it ever coming back up. Is it alright to delete these links? Thanks, HikariTajiri 09:45, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
Jimbo
I figured as much... I was just bored. Won't happen again. ~$aturn¥oshi THE VOICES 19:04, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
- At least it was brought to your attention. So some good came out of it. ~$aturn¥oshi THE VOICES 19:12, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
- Oh... You don't think Jimbo is a fan of Pokémon? ~$aturn¥oshi THE VOICES 19:14, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
