Yawn. Well, here it is, a new, clean slate. Again. Hopefully Project Overgrow's work will allow there to be a longer time between now and the next archive. Maybe long enough to get us to Phase III...?

User:TTEchidna/TCG/Darkness times2

Please figure out a way to not categorize this into the no image card category. It is the only User: one.--Mew a.k.a. Prmatt11 19:12, 16 January 2009 (UTC)

It's not a problem. It's getting deleted soon enough. MaverickNate 19:17, 16 January 2009 (UTC)
Plus, if we could find the card it's based on... TTEchidna 22:08, 16 January 2009 (UTC)

Pictures

Is it just my computer, or are pictures not showing up on the website? When I go to a page the pictures just don't appear. --HoennMaster 00:19, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

It's because the DNS for the archives is screwed up.--RexRacer -talk 00:24, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

Rex, you are totally right! I can't access the archives and no pics have been showing up at all! And just another thing, earlier today, I tried to access JUST Bulbapeda and I couldn't, it said the website was encountering problems or something. Totally weird...--DRAGONBEASTX 01:00, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

It's a problem with the DNS. There is a workaround, but I forget it. The problem should be fixed shortly, though. --ニョロトノ666 01:02, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

For your attention

Sorry to bug you again but just to let you know I've discussed some stuff on Template talk:Player and Template talk:Pokelist.

My bad, signed.     -–<×vVvvv τλικ to ς1tHςι3r ^^vVv×>–- 11:43, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

What I brought up in the other archive

When I showed you that thing in my sandbox I didn't mean for it to stay there. It was just to show you the basic idea and maybe have it implemented to the main space. What do you think? Also, on a somewhat unrelated note, has all of Bulbagarden been down lately?--MisterE13 03:12, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

Probably due to Project: Overgrow. --((Marton imos)) 04:15, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
nah.--FF(edits-talk) 04:17, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
Ah, like a sprite naming standard? Expand on it if you want to, then we'll see... TTEchidna 04:53, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
Like a place to request sprites to be uploaded, renamed, maybe even modified slightly. One could ask for some of them to have a specific naming convention but not necessairily all of them.--MisterE13 13:35, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
I could come up with other examples, such as the bag sprite conventions you discussed in the other archive. A page like mine could let most people know that it's going on and could encourage participation. Also, say it wasn't already done and I wanted Poké Assist and Field Move sprites to be ripped from the Ranger games and uploaded but I cannot rip sprites. It lets someone who can, wants to help out and has free time know that it needs to be done. Also of note, Unown Trozei sprites, PMD2 alternate forme images, etc. All of these, and perhaps the ocasionnal template request could be requested on a page similar to th example I made in my sandbox--MisterE13 22:12, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
Hmm. Well, expand on that idea on the page, then... and um... stuff. I dunno. Wiki forum it. TTEchidna 03:23, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
Wiki forum? Like a poll?--MisterE13 04:53, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
Or just a thread. TTEchidna 05:38, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

Martonimos's section for whining

I have you on record as saying that "redirects are bad." Meanwhile, Cipher attributes you to saying that linking to a redirect doesn't matter. Since I'm a whiny zealot, I'd like some closure on this issue; basically, is this a bad idea? --((Marton imos)) 14:32, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

Redirects are bad in many cases. For games, no. Pokémon FireRed Version will always redirect to Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen Versions. The problem comes up when people decide "O HAY REDUREKTS R OK SO I LINK TO Jumpluff and Mewtwo and Pichu and Dawn and Ash and Brock and May. THOSE REDIRECT RITE?"
If I endorse redirects, that'll allow people to come and say "DONT YELL ABOUT ME LINKING TO MEWTWO WITHOUT THE TEMPLATE REDIRECTS ARE OKAY LET'S GET RID OF THE LINK TEMPLATES YAY".
Yes it's an extreme example... but eh. TTEchidna 21:41, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

Flashbacks

Can flashbacks count as appearances? Because Jmath is removing the infobox from Alan, but I tihnk that a flashback is able to count as an appearance. Chocolate (Chat with Me) 20:05, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

It was already discussed before. This isn't something new. Jmath 20:15, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
Show me where it was discussed. Chocolate (Chat with Me) 20:16, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
Ask Kenji-girl... Jmath 20:17, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
As far as I can see, a mention that he was in both episodes is fine but I wouldn't call one episode and one unrelated flashback "recurring".--MisterE13 20:52, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
Flashback doesn't make you recurring. It counts as an appearance, yes, for the purposes of the episode's listing of characters, but doesn't count as a reappearance if a COTD appears in one. TTEchidna 21:42, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
What about cameos? Jmath 21:50, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
Live-action ones, yes, sure, but again, not for an infobox unless they're established as recurring already... Marina's cameo in DP010 doesn't count. TTEchidna 00:06, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

Japanese Text Problem

Ever since I had to reboot my computer from the very beginning (it basically crashed), all Japanese text on the site looks like this: ポケモンコンテスト

Is there a way to change it? --HoennMaster 02:35, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

Um. It's fine for me. If you meant that it's now boxes, well, what OS? XP? Wikipedia's actually useful in this instance: this page oughta work. TTEchidna 03:22, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

Excuse me But. . .

I didnt really know where to ask this but how do you change a signature. As you can see mine is the normal/bland way. -> --Landfish7 14:55, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

Ah..just to say, I helped him already. And also, TTE, could you check your talk page on the Archives if you haven't already done so? Thanks.--Tavisource 18:49, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

Charon

TTEchidna, can I change Pluto to Charon? Gamestop's Platinum page uses the name Charon. Same with Looker/Handsome.--Alec9 20:20, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

Ehhh... I really think we oughta wait a little bit longer for Pokémon.com to reveal the names... but... eh. Wikiforum it. TTEchidna 01:35, 20 January 2009 (UTC)

New version for a template

User:EspeonA/Sandbox (Disregard the header and footer.) How's this? There's a link to the test page where it's used on a duplicate of the Fire (type) article. If you approve, edit {{Types}} (there are markers that indicate where the code begins and ends) and I'll update the type pages. :) Though you'll have to remove the colon from the category at the bottom (I didn't include the category for the template itself). - espeonA 02:04, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

I like it. I very much like it. Could you copypaste the code over to here with pre tags around it? TTEchidna 02:07, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
Wait, oops, must've forgot to put Category:Navigation templates on there too. Could you add that in too? =/ I'll go and update the articles and then I'll get to work on the template for egg groups. - espeonA 02:26, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
Good good. TTEchidna 02:27, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
Bothering you again, but: User:EspeonA/Sandbox (link to code there) - espeonA 03:13, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
Done and done. TTEchidna 23:22, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
Okay, I've redone {{PokémonInfobox}} with help of Force Fire's coding. Click here and see if there's anything else to add... I wasn't sure if GenII/III and IV had different amount of egg steps so I made the variable the same... But then that'll be weird for GenIV-only Pokémon. And the {{{nextevo}}} and {{{nextevop}}} variables will have to be manually added for each evolving Pokémon (the first establishes whether the Pokémon has an evolution or not while the second puts down what the Pokémon evolves into). eA 04:24, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
Seen mine yet? I think it's slightly better, though I do like your titlebar idea. Either way, the PokémonInfobox is gonna be one of the last things upgraded... Part of the switchover you see... plus we gotta get those cries. TTEchidna 04:29, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
Maybe one could add the background colours behind the egg group names as seen here:Template:EggGroups. Like it has for the types.--MisterE13 04:35, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

The only thing about that is that types have their own specified color and lightened color, while the egg group colors have to use hexadecimal color codes, and I don't want to go into Photoshop to layer a color with white @ such-and-such opacity and then get the hexadecimal color code and manually input it onto the page and do that for every egg group. eA 04:43, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

We can easily make a color template though, using the hex codes in Template:EggGroups. That's how we got firecolorlight etc. — THE TROM — 04:47, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
But that'll mean I'll have to do the process above to find the hexadecimal color code for each lightened color to make the template, unless someone has an easier process.
Anyway, I've fixed it up a little to include the cry mp3 file thing. Just curious, how will it show up if the file is actually there? Will there be a button to press to hear the sound, or something? eA 04:59, 24 January 2009 (UTC) Oh yeah, and I copied some coding off of yours. Dx ~ EspeonA
Thing is, the egg cycles thing... that's needed. The steps aren't accurate at all, really. It depends on what you've done...
Anyway, yes, the cries will be in a playbox, ideally. I've emailed Filb to ask if we can borrow PokéWiki's, and I'm gonna talk to Archaic to see if we can get some Bulba-hosted soundfiles. TTEchidna 07:51, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

Look at these!

Check these out:

User:MisterE13/Sandbox

We'd have to fix the following things though,

  • Insert the power level of the assists in Ranger 1 (between the assist type and the actual name of the assist).
  • Remove the x (meaning multiplication) on all the Ranger2 assist names (or just add them on the images.)

Just tell me which number to start at and I'll get on it.--MisterE13 02:59, 22 January 2009 (UTC) I, for one think it would be good to have the images like we do in Template:Almiapkmn.--MisterE13 03:22, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

Uhm... *blink* Can you code that as, like, a subpage of your userspace, and show off an example of what the hell you're talking about? TTEchidna 03:29, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
Basically, an admin would just have to copy the entire sections into their respective titles

What they do is:

  • Inserts the image for the assist types in front of the text on those pages. As seen here: Template:Side game/Assist2no (I also took the liberty of doing it for Discharge)
  • Once the "x" is removed from every page with the "Assist2" template in them, it will show the images before the name.
  • Once the power level for the Ranger1 assists is inserted (between their type and name), it will show the correct number of those images (1-3)--MisterE13 03:44, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
I still... am not following. Do like I do and make the templates sub-User pages. Test them out. Then tell us when they're good to go or just move them to the mainspace or something... eck, I dunno. SOMEONE WITH RANGER SKILLS HALP PLZ? TTEchidna 03:51, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
Sorry about last night, I was tired and thought that you did have "RANGER SKILLS" I finally figured out how to call a user template and got it all to work. Just check the ol' sandbox feel free to play around with some of the variables to see if it all works. I think it will break the tables though.

Just copy the codes from my sandbox to the pages as seen in their titles there. Basically, it just shows the sprites beside "Poké assist" and "Field move". I don't know if you think that the names should still be put there. Feel free to take them out or put parentheses in there. If you have any more questions about how it works (since I guess you don't know much about the Rangers) feel free to ask.

Here's what we have to do for all of the pages that use them to fix the existing tables though:

  • Remove the power of both the Ranger games' assists.
  • Reinsert the power of both the Ranger games' assists as their own variables.
    • It gets tricky here though, Ranger 1 assist powers go between the assist types and the names of the assits themselves. Ranger 2 assist powers go between the field move name and the browser entry. If this seems to complicated for the pages though, it can be changed as well.
  • Put a hyphen or some other "power level" for the Ranger 2 assists without power levels. (The one with hyphens as seen here: Field moves).

Go ahead and tell me what national dex number to start with and I can get going fixing them.--MisterE13 23:53, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

Uhm uhm uhm... I still dunno what you really want done... but someone else who has played Ranger might help. TTEchidna 00:14, 23 January 2009 (UTC)
Sorry, you see the little squareish images next to the words "Field move" and "Poké assist", I basically just added in codes for those. (You can click those links to see some of the sprites that would be used). With that understanding, read my last post. (Or maybe find another admin who knows about the Rangers.)--MisterE13 00:18, 23 January 2009 (UTC)
How did your little AIM chat about this with Kogoro go last night? If either of you needs me to explain some of the changes, just ask. Also, feel free to change the templates to make them look better if you think it's needed.--MisterE13 16:54, 23 January 2009 (UTC)
I don't know if you noticed, but I coded Kingdra in sa an example. Feel free to compare with the one in Kingdra. Also, you can modify things like the spaces between the sprites of the Ranger 1 assists or just adding parenthses around the names of the moves (after the images). Once again, feel free to ask if you have any questions.--MisterE13 04:25, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
Look, I don't know if I made this clear enough earlier but I'm sure the template will work perfectly, I just need an admin to go here: User:MisterE13/Sandbox and copy/paste the codes from the different sections into the already existant pages bearing the same name. I myself could then even change most of the pages to fix them to how they should be (maybe with a little help :) ).--MisterE13 17:22, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
Ahhh. Okay there it is. Which code directly? (do it like EspeonA did) Then I can do it easy. TTEchidna 22:03, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
I guess I really need to express myself better. But as for what you just said, that's the beauty of what I did, all the codes are in my sandbox and the titles of the sections they're in are the pages they should go to. For example, the code under the "Template:Side game/Rangeryes" title goes here, Template:Side game/Rangeryes etc.--MisterE13 00:01, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
Thaaaat's all I needed. Though it seems somewhat messed up. You sure it's right? TTEchidna 01:57, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
The example doesn't have the parentheses in it. Also, some images will have to be slightly renamed but I've alredy put out a request to Kenji-girl. (Actually, this would have been a great time to use that "Wanted images" thing I wanted. Did anything else look wrong in the coding? (It was my first time using parser hooks).--MisterE13 02:21, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
I figured it out, the "side game" template still called for my user templates instead of the real thing. It's been changed in the Sandbox.--MisterE13 02:28, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
Oy. *facepalm*
K, I've put them on the first 4 Pokémon, what doyou think. I'll slowly be getting the rest done.--MisterE13 02:42, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
I've found one more little thing, in "Ranger2", there's an "x". It should be "×".--MisterE13 02:48, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
Just finished the first 57 (I stopped after Primeape) I'm gonna' turn in now but I'll get back on it tomorrow.--MisterE13 04:01, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
With some help from Chungkingpun, all the Pokémon have been done. Now if only Kenji would rename the sprites.--MisterE13 18:54, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
? What sprites? TTEchidna 05:56, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
The sprites that appear with dashes in them in the second table here: Field move as well as another sprite that indicates that the Pokémon has no field move. The images are named without a number and that screws up with the section of the template that asks for one. I have all the pages calling for <Name>_-fieldmove.PNG (note the underscore and dash). It would also be necessary for the "no field move sprite" to be renamed as None_-fieldmove.PNG.--MisterE13 03:37, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
Just... reupload at the archives and stick a delete tag on the old one, replacing it all over Pedia. We can't move images. TTEchidna 03:53, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
I just need you to change Template:Almiapkmn so that it says to input "None" instead of "no" and change the example template to demonstrate it.--MisterE13 03:57, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
Okay... um... template and example changed. TTEchidna 04:03, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
It still says to input No instead of None. Also, could you change the example so it says None ---MisterE13 19:45, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
But the example does say none. TTEchidna 21:57, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

Colors

Hey man, do you know the color IDs for the "User Blastoff" template? I want to use the colors, but don't know IDs well enough. Thanks, even if you can't help! R.A. Hunter B. 03:00, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

Uhm, check the template yourself? It's pretty intuitive... TTEchidna 03:09, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
See? I didn't even know that. And that helped. Thanks! R.A. Hunter B. 21:45, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

Random question

Is it possible to <noinclude> an unclosed <nowiki> tag?--freezingCOLD (page, talk) 21:13, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

No, I've tried. The closing noinclude gets swallowed by the nowiki. ΘρtιmαtumTalk 21:45, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, sadly. TTEchidna 23:17, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

Template changes

Could you put vertical two-sided arrows between the Burmys here: Template:Evobox/1formes3

And link the "no" options (like in the version exclusives) here: Template:Tutor Thanks.--MisterE13 03:08, 23 January 2009 (UTC)

First one, I would, but it'd mess up the template. People can check out Burmy's page, they aren't stupid. Second... um. What? TTEchidna 03:25, 23 January 2009 (UTC)
Really, you couldn't just put them between the boxes?... oh well. For #2, I guess I reall should start explaining myself better (see above). Go to version exclusive even if they're not catchable, the game names still link, to keep up with consistancy, shouldn't we also have all the tutors link even if they aren't teachable.--MisterE13 03:41, 23 January 2009 (UTC)
If you mean in the mtentry series of subtemplates, then I think I could link them, but it would be a pain in the ass... Plus, what's it hurt if the game's not linked? If the move's not available there, why link it? TTEchidna 04:17, 23 January 2009 (UTC)

Phases IV and V

Will either of these phases in Project Overgrow have to do with the release of Platinum, seeing as it is two days following? If that is the case, then Platinum updates would begin earliest right on the 22nd, after the project is complete. --Bulbapedian - Talk 02:28, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

Not directly, but I think some integration there would be okay. TTEchidna 04:16, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

You may have noticed...

That I've developed a suitable redesign for a couple of nav templates (ie. {{Pokelist}}, {{Fiore}}, {{Orange Archipelago}}) which I reckon would be a fine standard to be applied to the rest of them. However, should I be waiting for the next stage to take place first before going ahead with the rest of the templates?     -–<×vVvvv τλικ to ς1tHςι3r ^^vVv×>–- 04:48, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

What was wrogn with that trivia?

What was wrong with that trivia?

Up Close and Personable and Ghoul Daze are back to back and both have hypnotic trances placed on people and/or Pokémon.

Why in the world is everyone just nitpicking at the trivia i added? Yami 05:30, 25 January 2009 (UTC)

Honestly, who cares about it being back to back hypnosis. Whoo. Hoo. Shall we have episodes saying that it's the second episode in a row that Ash's Pikachu has used Thunderbolt. TTEchidna 05:34, 25 January 2009 (UTC)

Its the second time in the same story arc. Also what is wrong with the mew smirk one?

  • After Dusknoir is knocked out, The ghostly girl smirks before opening a vortex. During the smirk stock audio of a Mew cry can be heard. This stock audio was used for when Mewtwo was hearing Mew before he brakes from his incubation chamber.

that's perfect trivia material. They call it trivial for a reason. Yami 05:40, 25 January 2009 (UTC)

It's the 549th time Pikachu's used Thunderbolt in the same story arc to beat Team Rocket, too. Also, Mewtwo doesn't brake from his stasis tube. He breaks out. TTEchidna 05:46, 25 January 2009 (UTC)

Do you know any user who might then? ht14 16:20, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

Excuse me, sir

I was wondering if you would agree with me that {{ci}} is a "laziness template". How difficult is it to type [[Lilycove City|Lilycove]]? I also believe there should be a purge of templates that don't appear to serve any purpose other than slightly less typing for the user. Awaiting your opinion, most humble echidna.—BlazevoirTalk/Contribs 22:35, 27 January 2009 (UTC)

I do agree that {{ci}} and {{to}} are pretty lazy templates. Unlike for stuff like Pokémon, there's TWO OF THEM. List me off some that you see as lazy. TTEchidna 23:17, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
I'd say a lot of link templates are lazy if you classify {{fi}} and {{la}} lazy, since many of them are similar to those templates except for a lesser range of links. For example, Noland and others, {{gen}}, {{series2}}, {{prof}}... eA 23:26, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
4Kids, Card GB, and Card GB 2 to name a few.—BlazevoirTalk/Contribs 23:42, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
Actually, those last two are pretty useful for the early TCG card articles, though they can be substituted if they're considered to be lazy. Cipher (Talk) 23:51, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
We are going to have a discussion over AIM to discuss, get rid of, and prevent all of these later tonight. So, if you don't have AIM, get it and be on later tonight. MaverickNate 00:08, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
I share exactly the same opinion with the ci/to templates, though I think the 'name' templates should stay for those who don't know their proper full links.     -–<×vVvvv τλικ to ς1tHςι3r ^^vVv×>–- 08:23, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

Hey, TTE.

My calendar went orange on the mention that tomorrow will be Jan. 29. What's that about? SharKing Productions 00:23, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

It was when the FireRed & LeafGreen games were first released in Japan, so it turns orange for FireRed. I think it'll happen on September 9, too, since that's the English release date. - unsigned comment from EspeonA (talkcontribs) at 00:27, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

So, umm...

I've done a lot of things with this account that I'm ashamed of. I've gotten into a lot of conflicts too. So, would it be okay if I made a new account as long as I never make any reference to this one? Chocolate (Chat with Me) 03:17, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

If you wanted to you should've not asked. TTEchidna 03:18, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
Why not? I was just asking if it was okay. Chocolate (Chat with Me) 03:19, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
Because now I know. TTEchidna 03:20, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
And what does that mean? Chocolate (Chat with Me) 03:20, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
no sockpuppets.--DCM((Mock MeEdits)) 03:21, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
It's not a sockpuppet if I don't use this account ever again. Chocolate (Chat with Me) 03:22, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
If you want to, go for it. Create it tomorrow. TTEchidna 03:23, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
That makes account niumber three. MaverickNate 03:24, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

My new account will be called "0 Degrees". Don't ask why, I just think it's a great name. I'll make the account at about 18:00 EST/23:00 GMT today on February 1st. Chocolate (Chat with Me) 15:41, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
Well, congratulations with that. TTEchidna 00:15, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

No previous moves

Why not? Zurqoxn 20:51, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

Go to the move relearner in Pastoria. Can Beedrill or Kakuna learn String Shot? By extension, if we list those guys' previous moves, we list those of Raichu, Clefable, Togekiss, and many others. No. TTEchidna 21:54, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
I just think that a Pokémon's page should list all the moves it can know, especially for those that don't learn any more moves after evolving. For example, a player's Wigglytuff can legally have Hyper Voice, but you wouldn't know it by looking at Wigglytuff's page. Zurqoxn 14:34, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
That's why there are links to the prevos and previous-gen movesets on the pages, of course. Click a few links. TTEchidna 00:21, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

When making templates...

When is it better to use variables and when not? For example, we assume that we may one day have to use other variables to determine between two forms or even four forms only one of which is shiny but not 28 forms.--MisterE13 03:13, 29 January 2009 (UTC)

Uhm... well, usually you should have an idea of what you're gonna do with the template... which one? TTEchidna 03:14, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
Just for future reference. It would be good to know where the line is drawn. For example, yesterday I made a template to display gender differences in PMD2 portraits. We can assume that they'll never invent a third gender right so I didn't use variables. But as I said earlier, why does Template:Sprite/4/2formes or Template:Sprite/4/4formes/1shiny take variables such as the National Dex number or the letter identifiying the different sprites whereas Template:Sprite/4/28formes takes no variables?--MisterE13 03:22, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
Because it's insane to think that there'll ever be another Pokémon with 28 forms. There's HIGHLY LIKELY to be another with two and four, though... heck, there are several with two. TTEchidna 03:26, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
OK, I guess that makes sense although another one with four forms with only one shiny; I think is less likely than some sort of Unown relation.--MisterE13 03:30, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
...lowercase Unown. Eugh. Anyway, basically it really depends on whether or not I decide to put the ndex variable in there. TTEchidna 04:01, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
Besides, even if the "lowercase Unown" idea were put into play, just what would be used to evolve into the ? and ! Unown? --Shiningpikablu252 04:06, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
Keyboard on MPR. / and 1 Unown. TTEchidna 04:10, 29 January 2009 (UTC)

Mlentry2

How come we have Template:Mlentry3special, but not Mlentry2special? The second one could actually be used more (the Egg from Crystal)... ht14 13:25, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

Beats me... mostly because I didn't think of it. TTEchidna 22:40, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
Will it be made then in the future? ht14 23:28, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
If you want you can try your hand at it. TTEchidna 00:12, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
Done!: Template:Mlentry2special (I just ripped out anything that had to do with contests from Gen III and changed the remaining variables). You guys can double check it.--MisterE13 03:52, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

New TCG Infobox

So when are you going to move your new infobox into the mainspace? Platinum cards are imminent and I would much rather start using the new template now than have to change the articles days after they're created. Cipher (Talk) 15:57, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

I think we should hold off on doing it until after Platinum itself is released... the game that is. TTEchidna 22:39, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
I would very much like waiting just a bit longer, if it can be helped. MaverickNate 22:43, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
Okay. So we'll wait to do that until Gym Whoevers is released here. TTEchidna 23:13, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
I didn't mean longer as in longer than that. I mostly meant that was going to be long enough; I'm fine with Game platinum release. MaverickNate 00:25, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
Well, since Gym Whoevers is getting released likely a short time after Pt... TTEchidna 00:27, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
May 2009. Cipher (Talk) 00:50, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
Short enough time. We can have downtime until the end of March before we get to work on the Pokémon. TTEchidna 01:00, 31 January 2009 (UTC)

I don't know if it worked...

... but I tried to fix the Gen II Unown template (User:MisterE13/Template:Unown) Maybe you could work some magic but it should be at least partway. By the way, if you can get it to work, Gen II has most if not all of the sprites so it at least could be implemented when you have the time.--MisterE13 03:46, 31 January 2009 (UTC)

There's an extra curlybracket. TTEchidna 03:51, 31 January 2009 (UTC)

Applause

I saw that bit about Uri what'sisface... I'm surprised, Mr. Admin. The Dark Fiddler - ¿Nos hablamos? 00:43, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

What're you talking about. That was never there. And Uri Geller is the biggest douche in the universe-- John Edwards's got nothing on him. TTEchidna 00:58, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
Still, you gotta be unbiased in case the biggest douche in the universe comes along (Google, no doubt) and finds you calling him the biggest douche in the universe and then sues you for calling him the biggest douche in the universe. ΘρtιmαtumTalk 01:03, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
Well I did mean to remove it but forgot. Don't worry, he'll sue us anyway for calling him a "so-called psychic". TTEchidna 01:05, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

For the new card infobox

Do you think there should be a space for the TCG GB and/or TCG GB2 card image by the corresponding set name and ID number? Or is that too much? --Alamedyang (talk) 03:34, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

Nnnngh... Do we even have those sprites? TTEchidna 03:35, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
I've got them all... --Alamedyang (talk) 03:37, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
Something you'd have to talk to Nate or Cipher about. TTEchidna 03:39, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
The sprites are based off the card images (so they would look very similar), but we do have places for the set info and id. I don't know yet, but I'm tempted to say it will become too crowded to have images. MaverickNate 03:39, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
Although we could put them in a gallery. TTEchidna 03:42, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

In any case, I can upload those suckers any time you like. --Alamedyang (talk) 03:54, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

We should make a system for them before you do. TTEchidna 04:17, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

Custom Sprite Sub-project?

Many people has recently asked me to make Custom avatar sprites as their personal pics for their user pages. Do you think it's possible that I could get a little help with that and forming a sub-project for the custom sprites mainly for the use of making sprites for other users? This is just an idea...so if it's not fine, then just forget about this...tell me what you think.--Tavisource 16:42, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

Erhm. Well, that's not really a Bulbapedia project. TTEchidna 21:57, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

Okay, umm, problem...

I went to sign in at the Archives under the user name "0 Degrees". Since my old account had been merged to the unified login system, this one already was. So, I entered the same password as the one I use here, but it said that the password was incorrect. I then tried to have the Archives e-mail me a new password, but it said that there was no user called "0 Degrees". So, I went to try to create an Archives account called "0 Degrees", but it said that the name was already taken. So, what am I supposed to do now? 0° 00:27, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

That shouldn't be the case. You migrate to the unified login when you log in with your Bulbapedia account there. So just put in 0 Degrees and whatever password you use here. TTEchidna 00:31, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
I tried that. I put in the same password as the one I use here, and it said it was wrong. 0° 00:32, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
Hm. Well, just try to make the account and I'll see about manually merging it. TTEchidna 00:34, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
I just tried to make it, and it said that the name was taken. 0° 00:34, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
And when I go to the archives, attempting to edit "your" userpage there gives me this message:

User account "0 Degrees" is not registered. Please check if you want to create/edit this page.

So I honestly have no idea what could be the problem. I'll bring it to Evan when I can. TTEchidna 00:38, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
