Welcome to my talk page. You can leave a message for me if you must. Try not to totally exhaust the 100KB limit I'm putting on myself before the end of November, okay? If you do I'll be putting a 200KB limit on in January. TTEchidna 20:02, 31 October 2008 (UTC)

Abuse

Darknesslover5000 has abused the userspace a few times too many, even though there have been gaps in-between, so I've protected his userpage (and, if I understand how cascading protection works, also the subpage he keeps editing). Please move him to "abuse" when you get a chance. --((Marton imos)) 03:05, 2 November 2008 (UTC)

Eh, cascading actually just protects all pages transcluded in that page. Meaning templates, mostly, but say we protect the list of episodes, it'd protect the individual OS, AG, and DP lists, since they're transcluded. TTEchidna 03:10, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
Ah. Thanks. --((Marton imos)) 03:21, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
Hey, do you think we should tell people who put fanfiction stuff in their userpages to check out the Pokémon fanon wiki? I mean, better them than us, right? --((Marton imos)) 08:56, 3 November 2008 (UTC)
Possibly. That's kinda endorsing them so... eh. Plus ew, all the ads there. At least ours vanish on login. TTEchidna 22:57, 3 November 2008 (UTC)

episode 100

i uploaded the episode 100 image DP100.png and my question is why can't i use the image on the List of Diamond & Pearl episodes The image of choice is DP100.png

the image policy does not say anything about not using spoilers. http://archives.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Archives:Manual_of_style

  • If used in the articles for the episode or movie that the screenshot was derived from, avoid trimming the image. Screenshots for episodes should be 320x240, or failing that, in another 4:3 ratio. Screenshots for movies should be 426x240, or failing that, in another 16:9 ratio, assuming the movie is in widescreen format. If the screenshot is used in another article, such as a character profile, trimming is allowed to focus the image on the article's subject.
  • Episode screenshots should be as informative about the episode as possible. The best screenshots focus on major characters, depict the plot or major events of the episode, and display the episode's animation quality. (Pikastorm 18:24, 2 November 2008 (UTC))
The image policy says nothing about image spoilers, yes, but do you want someone to ruin the episode for you with the first thing on the page? Besides, the major plot point was Torterra helping Grotle after it evolved, not Ash battling with it. TTEchidna 20:59, 2 November 2008 (UTC)

S.T.A.B.

On the Pokémon pages before it shows the moves the Pokémon can learn it states that if the move is in bold it gets STAB but at the end of the moves it states the same thing do you need to put that bold indicates STAB twice? - unsigned comment from MyUU (talkcontribs)

Eh, it's in every box mostly because I wanted a template to close it and wanted the template to be more than a simple |}. Besides, most people don't pay attention to anything written anyway, so a reminder doesn't exactly hurt. TTEchidna 20:54, 2 November 2008 (UTC)

OBAMA

YEAH! HE WON! WHOOOOOOOO!

FINALLY ANOTHER PRESIDENT FROM ILLINOIS!

GO OBAMA! NOW ONLY 76 DAYS UNTIL BUSH IS GONE TTEchidna 04:17, 5 November 2008 (UTC)

President from Illinois? I'm just happy to have a President from the world of the sane and logical! I'm looking forward to actually having a future in green jobs now. Hell, I'm happy having a future. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 05:27, 5 November 2008 (UTC)
You and me both. I'm actually once again proud to be American by birth, American by home, and to have voted. If Palin had gotten in... I don't think I could have survived this country for four, or more, years with her as either vice or President. TTEchidna 06:34, 5 November 2008 (UTC)

Was thinking of going to Australia, actually, since there are echidnas there... but with the internets police coming in droves, from what Archaic says... eh. I'm just glad Obama won. It would not have been pretty otherwise. TTEchidna 07:48, 5 November 2008 (UTC)
You know what guys? You'll be proud to be American, I'll be proud to be Dutch. MathijsP 16:13, 5 November 2008 (UTC)

Yayness! Obama forever! Actually, I'd have supported a donkey if it wasnm't with Palin. >.> But Obama is epic win. HikariTajiri 17:41, 5 November 2008 (UTC)

I'll quote you, HikariTajiri, sir... "Obama is epic win." LordArceus 17:43, 5 November 2008 (UTC)

Stop attacking Palin, she deserved to win, but the Media teared her to pieces, what one this election for Obama, was the mass media coverage, things like Obama girl, and comedy's refusal to make fun of him, but ready to make fun of Clinton, McCain and Palin, if you look at it, Obama has no policies at all, just empty promises that mean nothing, there are huge holes in his plans, like where hes gonna get the money to do certain things, (other than tax Joe the Plumber) but no one seems to care as the media is totally backing Obama, and people seem to link McCain to Bush, due to the party --Guardian of Earth |SGMS 2010

I was quite happy that Obama won the election. TESHIGIGAS 21:18, 5 November 2008 (UTC)

I'm also very happy about Obama winning. Chocolate 22:51, 5 November 2008 (UTC)

The best part about Obama winning is that the town of Obama, Japan is going to put a statue of him in front of the town hall.--Pokemondpdecoder 23:36, 5 November 2008 (UTC)
Palin.
Did NOT.
Deserve to win.
I'll admit, she's done a lot for Alaska, but after seeing her on the national scene, I'm pretty convinced that's all she ought to do. Besides, remember, you're not voting for Palin; you're voting for McCain.
As for policies, Obama has some very clearly outlined stuff. You know he plans to make a national health care exchange? That's just badass. And it'll fuel the competition that's so important to fiscal conservatism. My conservative friend even admitted that, compared to Obama's stuff, McCain's policies were kind of vague. And in case you haven't been paying attention to the actual news, Obama's not after Joe's wallet. A McCain presidency wouldn't have been a disaster--loathe as I am to admit it, he's not exactly like Bush--but with Obama in office, we stand a chance of overcoming this crisis and getting back on our feet. --((Marton imos)) 23:38, 5 November 2008 (UTC)
And not nuking the world in case McCain didn't make it through four years, since Palin believes Jesus will come back if we kill the nonbelievers. TTEchidna 00:32, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
Finally! After 8 looooong years of Republicans we finally have a person who KNOWS that the rest of the country is NOT in lalaland like Bush. Although I don't like McCain, I think that more people would have voted for him if he didn't pick Palin. Palin was not qualified and will never be if she continues her job as Governor of Alaska. And it's not just because the media "teared" her apart. Dialgarules 00:36, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
Exactly. Palin actually implied that there were parts of America which hated America. If McCain had picked Lieberman, even, I'd have considered him. But no. He has to go pick Miss Kookoo from Alaska, who got blessed by her pastor against witchcraft. Of all things, honestly. It's not the 17th century.
Anyway, like the 17th century, I must go celebrate the foiling of the gunpowder plot. TTEchidna 00:44, 6 November 2008 (UTC)

See there you go again, telling lies, she doesn't believe Jesus will come back if you kill all the non believers, but all it takes is for a newspaper of news program to make a statement like that, and people believe it. The media has a lot of control over this country. If they focused more on Obama's terrorism links, even though he only knew the guy for a short time, (btw I dont belive Obama is a terrorist), the media could have raised enough doubt in Obama for McCain to win. If they kept on about it, but they didnt, they attacked the woman.

The other scary thing is that there has been so much unchecked sexism over the campaign, but as there has been so much of it, people have grown tired of others shouting sexism and just disregard it, even though there was loads of sexism, there was so much, it became acceptable, and if you shouted sexism about anything to Hillary or Palin, Obama's fans would tear you to pieces, like I am preparing to be teared now, by all of you --Guardian of Earth |SGMS 2010

It's "torn." And seriously, shut up about Palin. The only reason the media "attacked" her was because she obviously wasn't ready to perform on a national stage. Like I said, the best thing for her is to remain here in Alaska.
A guy down the hall from me wrote on the whiteboard on his door that Obama was, among other things, a "fag" and a "terrorist." You really believe people didn't spend enough time attacking him? --((Marton imos)) 18:12, 6 November 2008 (UTC)

A few racists attacked him, but racists arent good for anything, when the media picks a candidate they like, they go for it, and use nationwide influence to gain support, people are succeptible to believe what they are told, Palin would make a fine V.P, although I admit your right, she isnt quite ready to lead if something happened to McCain, give her 4 years, shell be back, and shell be a strong contender. But the media will attack and then shed doomed, even if she will be qualified then --Guardian of Earth |SGMS 2010

Palin as Vice President would be hilarious, I'm sure. But Palin as President would be downright scary.
Here's to a woman with more brainpower running next time. 11 years of Thatcher got the novelty of a woman in the post out of British politics. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 19:03, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
It's not sexism when it's true, Guardian. It's not sexism asking her to stand up and fight like a big boy if she wants to play in the same arena. Get off Fox News and get on an intelligent channel.
Also, she's not gonna be qualified to lead if she continues just to live in dumbshit nowhereland, thinking that what "Jesus" (aka, her racist pastor) says is okay. Bombing abortion clinics is terrorism whether you agree or not that abortions should happen freely chosen by the person getting them. Palin wants the US to be a fricking theocracy. Know where else is? Our "enemy" Iran. Look at how they're doing. Good only because we're pissing enough people off.
Tell ya what. We don't need an empty-headed bimbo anywhere near leading the country. Hillary would've been a great President if she had made it, but I myself would be wary to vote for her due to the fact that for the past TWENTY YEARS it's been only Bush or Clinton. Palin, like most of the Republican "base", just scares me, though, with her unquestioning religious beliefs. TTEchidna 21:41, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
Agreed. I'm fine with people believing whatever they want, but when they start trying to tell me what to believe, they'd better be ready for me to bite back. --((Marton imos)) 21:51, 6 November 2008 (UTC)

Theres nothing wrong with doing what Jesus tells you! And abortion does kill innocent unborn children, why should they not have the right to life? If you look at all the newspapers with Palin in she is probably going to do exactly what you said, to try and get out of "nowhere land" and into Washington by taking a Senate vacancy for Alaska that will be opening soon. Let her get those 4 years experience of dealing with the rest of country and not isolated away, and she is gonna be awesome in 2012. Democrat, Republican, it doesnt matter, as I think everyone agrees this is not the last we have seen of Sarah Palin, even if you hope it is the last we see of her, lets face it, she'll be back. She has a strong Republican base, some polls say around 40% already for the primaries without any campaigning. She can take the thrashing and learning curves of this election and gain from them, by improving via all of the critisisms, and I think she wants a second swing at Barack Obama, this time, at the top of the Ticket, and do you know what, I honestly think she could do it. Sarah Palin will return. --Guardian of Earth |SGMS 2010

They are not innocent children, they are parasites, and little more than that until they are far along. I admit that I was at one time little more than a damn parasitic growth. I don't feel like I need to be anything more. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with what Jesus says, except for the fact that NO ONE FRICKING FOLLOWS IT. His big thing? Be a nice person. Not kill nonbelievers.
Vacancy? There's nothing against a convicted felon serving in the Senate. And as if she'd ever do that; all she'd do is get earmarks for Alaska. She may have a strong Republican base, but unfortunately, that's all they are. Base. Can't look at the big picture, just wanna look at how GREAT things are right now for them and how everyone should be worshiping Palin just like them.
As for a second shot at Obama, hah. She'd want to literally take the first one. And she could only take this country back for the Republican Christofascists if she managed to kill half the population of Chicago and Obama fucked up really bad. Change is good, and all we've had for the past eight years (and ANY term we'd have with Palin) is ass-backwards imperialistic stagnation. We don't need to rule the world to get stuff done. People will do it if you ask nicely enough most times, and after that you can go on and declare war, but only as a last resort. TTEchidna 22:11, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
Actually, the GOP has made it clear that, even if Begich doesn't make a remarkable comeback in the absentee ballots, Steven's not going to the Senate. So that means all the morons who voted for Stevens voted for NOBODY AT ALL, since we'll be having a special election to replace him some time down the line.
And it's not like we'll never hear from Palin again. I get to put up with her until someone better comes along to be governor--which'll probably be a while, considering the state of Alaska politics.--((Marton imos)) 22:15, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
More like AlASSka, amirite. Seriously, if she ever assumed the Oval Office, it'd be two days before she signed a law releasing Alaska from the Union. And there's pictures of her by a 49-star flag. She wants independence and to be Queen Sarah of the Universe... ugh. Christardation scares me. TTEchidna 22:19, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
I think if she really wanted that, she'd be working for, you know, the people who want that. She'd just funnel federal funds to her church, is all. --((Marton imos)) 22:21, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
She did at one time... but still. And yeah, that'd be pretty bad too. TTEchidna 22:37, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
Wow Guardian, your the complete opposite of me in every way. I hate it when men think that they know everything about abortion. WELL YOU DON'T. It's a woman's choice, not yours. What's the point of bringing a child into the world if you are not ready to take care of it. Your probably going to say just have it and give it up for adoption right? Where here's something a man would never understand. Child birth hurts. A lot. You can die having a baby. Of course women shouldn't be going out having unprotected sex if they don't want to have a baby. But sometimes it happens in situations that you can't control. So after a man has violated them, you think they should be forced to have their baby and possibly die from it?
I'm sorry for bringing this up TTE. It just pisses me off when guys think what should happen with the female body. --ケンジガール 06:56, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
Sad thing is... Palin thinks that, too. I would wish the worst on her but unlike some I try to be a good person. TTEchidna 07:06, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
Just to hop on the anti-Palin bandwagon, here's a link with a list of "fun facts" (do note that they are all facts, not "oh noez the liberal media iz attackin' mah prospective VP"). 1,000,000 Strong Against Sarah Palin. (scroll down a bit, her "resume" is the main thing you should look at.)
And for those of you who already know most of this wonderful stuff, here's a funny video. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 08:36, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
May I just say that Kenji girl just layed the smackdown on Guardian. Thank youu, good night, ill be here all week--DCM((Shut the **** upSpy on My Edits))

How the hell did she "lay a smackdown" she basically just said its ok to kill children to save girls from pain. Yes its sad that rape happens, and girls get pregnant, and I cant begin to imagine the pain, but thats no reason for murder!!! Its not that child's fault how it was conceived, so why should it pay the ultimate price, DEATH, the truth is, it shouldn't, it should be allowed to live. And its not just a man saying it, there are plenty of women, who agree that murdering unborn children is wrong. --Guardian of Earth |SGMS 2010

You try it sometime. You try bringing into the world something that was not your fault.
The ultimate price? I can think of things far worse than death. Like, oh... RAPE and having to carry the baby to term, then having to RAISE IT. Learn some empathy here; you may not ever have to deal with it, but can you please learn the biggest damn thing that Yeshua bin Yosef taught?
The women saying it? Mentally vacant. Happy to live like the 50's, subordinate to their husbands because an imaginary man said to be 6000 years ago. The men who say it? Also happy to live like the 50's, and invade any country because there might be communists terrorists there.
Also, remember. Babies aren't babies until they can survive on their own. Up to a certain point they're parasitic growths. So give up the "lol abortins wrong" thing already. Don't have it done to yourself if you don't want it, but don't say that no one ever can, especially since Moses essentially was directed by God to abort babies and have Israelites impregnate their mothers. If that's not horribly wrong I don't know what is.
Now, don't make me bring up a reason why they should be legal. Because believe me... it's bad. TTEchidna 23:56, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
Guardian you need to shut your mouth. At the time most abortions occur, the babies are not babies yet. They are a bunch of cells forming. Again, you can DIE from childbirth. You make it sound so damn easy. It's not easy and you'll never understand. Appearently you don't care if the mother dies as long as the baby survies. If they don't want to have a baby, than they diserve the right to get an abortion. --ケンジガール 00:09, 8 November 2008 (UTC)

Litterally, type in Palin 2012, or sarah 2012 or Sarah Palin into google, already people are talking about her return, the conservatives are treating her like the Massiah who one day will return, and as a complete contrast, liberals are treating it like the apocalypse, but either way you look at it, both sides are agreeing she is going to be a major contender in 2012, even though some may be dreading it. Also, that thing about parasetic growth is your opinion, no one knows when a baby stops being a bunch of cells and starts being a person, its opinion, the fact is, it could be as early as conception, when the soul is put in, in which case you are murdering. Like you say, I will never know what child birth is like, it sounds unimaginably painful, but despite that pain, there is no reason to kill a child. That child cant help how it was conceived, so it shouldn't die. In everyone is god given potential, it is a travesty to through any life away, for whatever reason. When God put us here on the planet, he told us to reproduce, that was his order to the world, all life is sacred and should not be thrown away, that child deserves a chance! --Guardian of Earth |SGMS 2010

Max, im a conservative, and I dont want Palin in office.. -- MAGNEDETH 00:09, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
I agree; the child deserves a chance. It deserves a chance at a good life, a chance to be born to a mother who can take care of it, hopefully with a father who will be willing and able to help. It certainly doesn't deserve to be born to a mother who will barely be able to keep it fed and only then at the sacrifice of her own future, leaving the baby's own life uncertain. It deserves better than that. --((Marton imos)) 00:12, 8 November 2008 (UTC)

Kenji, we are having a grown up discussion, our views may differ but dont you think its a bit harsh to say "shut your mouth" Ive listened to your views and opinions, its only fair you listen to mine, its only by listening to each other we learn. Deth, you dont need every conservative to support Palin for her to get in, they are still many Democrats who dont want Barack Obama, (PUMA) for example.

Kenji, do you mind me asking a personal question?--Guardian of Earth |SGMS 2010

Here, TTE has a personal answer. That is the fact that he would not exist if abortions were illegal. Okay? Therefore, you want them illegal, you question the need for my very existence. And I rather dislike that. TTEchidna 00:16, 8 November 2008 (UTC)

Dont you mean the other way around, how does no one killing children result in your death? If people stopped having abortions, why would you die, if anything, you wouldnt die. --Guardian of Earth |SGMS 2010

No... I'm the same way. If abortions were illegal, I would have never even been concieved. --((Marton imos)) 00:21, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
Ugh. This is why I never discuss politics and religion with friends. --PAK Man Talk 00:21, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
You do realize that even FOX news is trashing on her, right? FOX NEWS! Abortions dont happen when the baby comes out, they happen when its still little cells. As alive as the bugs you squish--DCM((Shut the **** upSpy on My Edits))
Guardian, if my mom hadn't had one when she did, then I would not be around to tell you. Remember, there's the funny little thing called you can have more than one pregnancy. My mom was young. She would never have been able to take care of whatever the hell it was. And I would not have existed, since she would never know my dad nor would the opportunity for my own zygote to form have happened. Therefore, you are fucking QUESTIONING MY EXISTENCE and I don't appreciate it. TTEchidna 00:24, 8 November 2008 (UTC)

Can we close this, I still feel that I am right, but I enjoy listening to your views and opinions and taking them on board, but this has kinda spiralled and is getting quite a tense argument, and I just wanna maintain friends with as many people as I can, despite political views, so can we please end this, as people are starting to swear? --Guardian of Earth |SGMS 2010

the freedom of speech you hold so closely to your heart would be violated if this was locked--DCM((Shut the **** upSpy on My Edits))
Yes I am, as you have questioned my existence. See, there's a little thing called nerd rage. And it's not at my parents, just so ya know. But yes, I do believe that that's enough election stuff. Now... don't question my existence again. TTEchidna 00:31, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
