Trivia
Origin
Quaquaval may be based on a crested duck and a peacock. It may also be based on carnivals such as the Rio Carnival or the Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife in the Canary Islands, with its movement and tail feathers resembling typical performers.
Name origin
Quaquaval may be a combination of quack quack (onomatopeia for duck sounds), aqua, and carnival.
Wanival may be a combination of wave and carnival.
