Gigantamax

A bowl of Max Soup

New Gigantamax forms were introduced. This includes Venusaur, Blastoise, Rillaboom, Cinderace, and Inteleon. The new Pokémon Urshifu also has two different Gigantamax forms.

Additionally, this expansion allows the player to feed Pokémon traveling with them Max Soup, giving them the ability to Gigantamax, but only Pokémon with "great hidden potential" can gain the Gigantamax Factor using this method, such as starter Pokémon.[1][2]

Items

Apricorns have made a return, and can be made into Poké Balls. The Exp. Charm will increase the Exp. Points earned by the player's party. Galarica Twigs can be collected from under trees and 8 can be combined by an NPC to create a Galarica Cuff, which can be used to evolve Galarian Slowpoke.

Moves

Additional Move Tutor moves are available in the Master Dojo, including new moves such as Terrain Pulse and Burning Jealousy.

Customization

The protagonist can wear training clothes. New fashion items are also available. The Rotom Bike can also be customized further than before by adding different colours and trails depending on which colour bike you choose to have. The colour and trail can be changed by a lady outside of the Dojo found on the island.

The Cram-o-matic

Inside the dojo on the Isle of Armor, in Mustard's room the player can find the Cram-o-matic, a robot resembling a Cramorant, made by Mustard's son Hyde, which can be fed four items that can be fused to create a new item. It can be used at any time once the player has given Hyde 500 Watts.

Restricted Sparring

Main article: Restricted Sparring

Restricted Sparring is a special battle feature in which participants are limited in the types of Pokémon they can use and are forced to battle under set conditions.

Side quests

There are side quests that can be done at the Isle of Armor, including searching for 150 Alolan Diglett scattered across the island.
