Undubbed character This article is about a character featured in the Pokémon anime who has not yet debuted in the English language dub.
As such, their information may contain romanized Japanese names, rather than dub names.
Gozu

(Japanese: ゴズ Gozu) is a recurring character who first appeared in SM087.

History

Gozu is a part of a special Team Rocket unit named (Japanese: マトリマトリックス Matori Matrix), which was sent to the Alola region by Giovanni. He was first seen aboard a helicopter alongside Matori as it approached Alola. At that moment, Giovanni contacted them for a briefing on their progress. After Matori completed the call, she asked Gozu if they would arrive in Alola soon, and when he confirmed that they would, she had him give the order to activate their craft's cloaking device.

Gozu reappeared in SM088, where he and the rest of the unit were afflicted by the effect that all of the adults in Alola were suffering. Despite this, they managed to catch Dawn Wings and Dusk Mane Necrozma, only for it to break free. After this, their helicopter activated its cloaking device.

Gozu will reappear in SM089.

Character

Gozu has been shown to be a very serious and competent person. However, he tends to wear an eyepatch over his right eye, despite the fact that there is nothing wrong with said eye.
