Effect

In battle

Sweet Scent lowers the target's evasiveness by one stage.

Outside of battle

Sweet Scent causes wild Pokémon to appear in clear weather conditions while standing. If Repel is in effect, Sweet Scent is prioritized.

  • Using Sweet Scent (or honey) inside a shop or Poké Mart will cause the descriptive text of purchasable items to vanish until the player leaves the shop. This is known as the honey shop glitch.
  • Ash once told his Chikorita to use Sweet Smell instead of Sweet Scent.
