Skeledirge (Japanese: ラウドボーン Loudbone) is a dual-type Fire/Ghost Pokémon introduced in Generation IX.

It evolves from Crocalor starting at level 36. It is the final form of Fuecoco.

Biology

Skeledirge is the only known Pokémon capable of learning the move Torch Song.

Scarlet The fiery bird changes shape when Skeledirge sings. Rumor has it that the bird was born when the fireball on Skeledirge’s head gained a soul.
Violet Skeledirge's gentle singing soothes the souls of all that hear it. It burns its enemies to a crisp with flames of over 5,400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Skeledirge may be based on a Nile crocodile and its cleaning symbiosis with the Egyptian plover. It may also be inspired by the Día de los Muertos holiday, with its face resembling a sugar skull.

Name origin

Skeledirge may be a combination of skeleton and dirge (a type of song or hymn performed in mourning, typically sung during funerals).

Loudbone may be a combination of loud and bone.
