Shamouti Island (Japanese: アーシア島 Earthia Island, Arshia Island, and Asia Island are also seen) is located in the Orange Archipelago. As depicted in the second movie, Shamouti and its surrounding isles, Fire Island, Ice Island, and Lightning Island, are connected to the balance of nature via the Legendary Pokémon Moltres, Articuno, Zapdos, and their mediator Lugia.
Shamouti Island appears to be a cultural center for the Orange Archipelago because of its many island holidays. One such holiday is the annual Legend Festival. For centuries, the locals have performed a ceremony honoring the prophesized Chosen One that would tame the birds of legend should they release their might on the world. The locals dress up in traditional attire, apparently for historical purposes, but some in the younger generation attribute the preservation effort to the resulting tourism.
According to Prof. Oak, ancient writings from many different cultures name the area around this region as the source of all the waters of the world and perhaps life itself.
Places of Interest
Town
This is where the Annual Legend Festival parade takes place. People dressed in costumes holding Pokémon Shaped Balloons walk down the brick street dancing while people watch. The is a Totem Pole in the middle of the city that people in the parade dance around. Also, while the Annual Legend Festival goes on, the street turns into a large bazaar, with shops selling souviners and food. For a side note, the town also has a lighthouse.
Festival House
This is where the people of the town come to eat a large banquet with food. This is also where the Festival Maiden does the ritual of the "Chosen One". The house is shaped like an open tiki house with a large flame in the middle.
Shrine
The large shrine where the "Chosen One" on the island goes to put the three spheres in the shrine. It is surrounded by old towers and beautiful flower, and guarded by a talking Slowking.
Fire Island
A small island near Shamouti Island. It is next to Lightning Island to the north. It is the island where the Legendary Pokémon Moltres (The Power of One) can be found in a cave. The Fire Sphere can be found in the center of the island in an ancient sculpture of Moltres. The rock reaches out over a large crater.
Ice Island
A small island near Shamouti Island. It is next to Lightning Island to the south. It is the island where the Legendary Pokémon Articuno (The Power of One) can be found roaming the island. The island is covered in snow, and it is also always snowing there. Inside an ice cave, a structure holding the Ice Sphere is. The sphere is in an ancient sculpture of Articuno.
Lighning Island
A small island near Shamouti Island. It is in between Fire Island and Ice Island. It is the island where the Legendary Pokémon Zapdos (The Power of One) can be found roaming the island. The Lightning Sphere can be found in the center of the island, however, it is unknown where it is, as the structure holding the sphere was destroyed. It is also where the remains of Lawrence 3's ship is.

Trivia
- Its English name comes from the shamouti orange, also known as the jaffa orange, a sweet fruit that symbolizes zionist Israel. Its Japanese name may refer to Earth. During the production of the second movie, the tentative name was フォーポイント島 Fourpoint Island.
- In the Japanese version of the second movie, a tour guide mentions that Shamouti is located in the "オレンジ諸島の海の果てよ," but in the American version she says it is in the center of the archipelago. Onscreen, a digital map of the archipelago shows Shamouti to be isolated in a north-eastern region; however, later maps look completely different from the movie version and show Shamouti to be in the center.
