Lokix (Japanese: エクスレッグ Exleg) is a dual-type Bug/Dark Pokémon introduced in Generation IX.

It evolves from Nymble starting at level 24.

Biology

Lokix is a bipedal Pokémon which resembles a locust. It has a third set of legs which it normally keeps folded on its back. When it decides to fight all out, it stands on its previously folded legs to enter Showdown Mode.

When in Showdown Mode, Lokix is capable of neutralizing its enemies in short order. However, this places a huge burden on its body, so it cannot stay in this mode for long.

Generation IX Paldea #015 Scarlet When it decides to fight all out, it stands on its previously folded legs to enter Showdown Mode. It neutralizes its enemies in short order. Violet It uses its normally folded third set of legs when in Showdown Mode. This places a huge burden on its body, so it can't stay in this mode for long.

Origin

Lokix appears to be based on a grasshopper, particularly those of the locust variety, which are notably larger than other grasshopper varieties and have a swarming phase.

Name origin

Lokix may be a combination of locust and kicks, or a corruption of low kicks.

Exleg may be a combination of extreme and leg.
