Laqua (Japanese: ラクア Laqua) is an anime-exclusive location in the Pokémon world. Its precise location is currently unknown.
History
Pre-series
100 years ago, the ancient adventurer Lucius and his Pokémon, the Six Heroes, sought and found Laqua. After reaching the paradise, Lucius said his goodbies to his Pokémon and promised he'd not die and that they'd see each other again. Somehow after that, his Pokémon were all scattered around the world along with their Ancient Poké Balls.
Pokémon Horizons: The Series
Laqua was first mentioned, albeit not by name, in The Future I Choose. It was part of the book Alex wrote about Lucius, describing it as a paradise sought by the Ancient Adventurer and his Pokémon, which they ultimately found and lived happily together in.
Laqua was briefly mentioned by Lucius in Fiery Galarian Moltres in a vision created by Liko's pendant, comforting his Moltres before disappearing and leaving her wondering what it was.
In Reunion at the Ancient Castle!, Diana revealed that Laqua is the name of the paradise that Lucius was looking for and that at some point Terapagos was with Lucius on this journey. It was implied that Terapagos may know where Laqua is located, as it jumped off the couch and headed towards the door after Liko mentioned the name, as if to go find it.
In Terapagos's Adventure, Terapagos expressed its desire to find Laqua. Liko, understanding its feelings, brought the idea up to the Rising Volt Tacklers. They agreed to embark on this mission, but in order to complete it, needed to seek out the rest of the Six Heroes, the six Pokémon that accompanied Lucius in his adventure.
In Lapras's Feelings for its Friends, it was revealed that Lucius's Pokémon made a promise with him to reunite again and that Lucius became one with Laqua.
In Respective Departures, it was revealed that the Explorers' goal is also to find Laqua.
In HZ054, it was revealed that Gibeon wanted to go to Laqua in order to find more Rakurium, mysterious crystals that produce a pink mist similar to the mist produced by Terapagos. Additionaly, he told Amethio that Terapagos was the key to the paradise's gate and that he should seize it once it "awakens".
In HZ057, Raifort mentioned that she had read about Laqua in a history book. According to legends, it was 100 days and 100 nights away from Paldea and covered in shades of pink. Over time, it became a legend and fell into oblivion.
