(Japanese: ラプラスの海Laplace's Sea) is an animated series-exclusive location featured in Pokémon Horizons: The Series. It is an area where similar reports of sudden mists sweeping across cargo ships have been reported in recent times, as a direct result of Lapras and her crew's pirate-like activity. Diana referred to this group of Pokémon as the "Lapras Pirates".
Lapras Sea first appeared in Song Within the Mist, where a shining Lapras was seen guiding a ship lost in the mist back to safety with her song; unbeknownst to the crew, however, this was a ruse to allow Lapras's accomplices to steal their food supplies. The Rising Volt Tacklers managed to get in contact with the ship's crew before heading towards the open sea, when a mist suddenly rolled in. This time, however, Lapras's strategy failed, as Liko and Roy intercepted two of her crew members, an Ambipom and a Toedscruel, before they scrambled away on a Wailord. Noticing something was off, Friede came up with a plan to attract the pirates and reveal their true intentions, which was successful.
In the following episode, after figuring out Lapras's true intentions, the Rising Volt Tacklers gave chase, but the Brave Olivine was frozen by an Ice Beam. Liko managed to track down the pirates' hideout by following the empty food boxes drifting at sea. Lapras reunited with Pagogo, Arboliva, and Moltres before deciding to aid the Rising Volt Tacklers in finding Laqua. The rest of her crew left the reef to continue their lifestyle elsewhere.
