X It drives away opponents by excreting a sticky liquid that can dissolve anything. Its eyes devolved, so it can't see anything.
Y Its four horns are a high-performance radar system. It uses them to sense sounds and smells, rather than using ears or a nose.

Trivia

Origin

Sliggoo seems to be based on soft bodied gastropods, such as slugs and nudibranch; its typing and eventual dragon design in evolution may be a reference to the "blue dragon" sea slug. The shell-shaped flesh is probably a reference to vestigial shells within certain species of slugs or perhaps a reference to semi-slugs. It may also be based upon the concept of living slime in popular culture. Its snail origins as well as its dragon typing and elongated body shape may mean it could also be based on the Lou Carcolh, a mythical serpent/mollusk creature from French folklore.

Name origin

Sliggoo may be a combination of slick, slimy, slug, and goo.

Numeiru is from 滑る numeru (to be slippery) and snail.
