Trivia
- Although its pre-evolution is designed by James Turner, Barujiina is designed by Ken Sugimori himself. This makes the only evolved Pokémon who is based on someone's design to tie it up on its evolutionary spot.
- Barujiina can be seen as a counterpart to Wargle: Both are dual-typed Flying Pokémon that are described as eagles, are members of a two-stage evolutionary family who evolve from their basic form at level 54 and have a stat total of 510. They are both also members of a single-gender species (Barujiina is exclusively female, whereas Wargle is exclusively male). Their movesets are also substantially similar, sharing the same number of start moves and level-up moves, several of which are shared by both Pokémon, with all of their level-up moves occurring at the same levels.
Origin
Barujina is based on an Old World Vulture or the California Condor. Its design also bears resemblance to archetypical "Savages" or barbarians. The row of teeth around its waist resembles an apron.
