Iron Boulder (Japanese: テツノイワオ Tetsunoiwao) is a Rock/Psychic Paradox Pokémon introduced in Generation IX, with The Indigo Disk.

It is not known to evolve into or from any other Pokémon, but it appears to be a futuristic relative of Terrakion.

Biology

Iron Boulder is the only known Pokémon capable of learning the move Mighty Cleave.

Generation IX Paldea #— Kitakami #— Blueberry #239 Scarlet It resembles a Pokémon described in a dubious magazine as a Terrakion that had been modified by an evil organization. Violet It was named after a mysterious object recorded in an old book. Its body seems to be metallic.

• Before the official reveal of Iron Boulder, a sketch of an imaginary Pokémon similar to it appeared in the Violet Book in Pokémon Violet as an amalgam of the Swords of Justice (Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion).
• Iron Boulder can be considered the counterpart of Gouging Fire as both were not revealed until The Indigo Disk comes out.
