Trivia
- Urugamoth, along with its pre-evolution, have a unique type combination.
- Urugamoth has the fourth highest base stat total of all non-legendary and non-pseudo-legendary Pokémon, being only behind Slaking, Akeosu and Arcanine.
- Urugamoth has the highest Special Attack of all Template:Type2 Pokémon, and the highest base stat total of all non-legendary Bug-type Pokémon, displacing Yanmega in both regards.
- Urugamoth and Genesect are the only two Bug-type Pokémon to learn Fly.
- Interestingly, neither of them are part Template:Type2.
- This makes Urugamoth one of the only four non-Flying-type, non-levitating, non-legendary Pokémon that can learn Fly, the other 3 being Smeargle, flying Pikachu, and Goruugu.
Origin
Urugamoth may be based on the the idiom "like a moth to a flame", seeing that it is both a Bug- and Fire-type. It also bears resemblance to an Atlas Moth.
