==Steel-type Training Event==
This training event ran from June 23 to July 7, 2020. Single player and co-op battles rewarded the player with Steel Vouchers, and this event introduced an Ultra Hard single player battle that rewarded Super Steel Vouchers and was limited to one challenge per day. During this event, the player could purchase a 3★ Tech Move Candy and 4★ Strike Move Candy in the {{DL||shop}}. The "Steven Spotlight Poké Fair Scout" gave players an increased chance of recruiting {{sync|Steven|Metagross}} for the duration of the event.

Training events[note 1] are a type of limited-time event in Pokémon Masters EX. These focus on a specific type and involve single player and co-op mode battles against opponents that are weak against the featured type. Single player battles provide increased experience points to sync pairs whose type matches the featured type. Battles reward the player with vouchers that can be exchanged in the shop for items.

Rock-type Training Event

The Rock-type Training Event first ran from September 10 to 24, 2019. It was focused on Olivia & Lycanroc. The "Olivia Spotlight Scout!" gave players an increased chance of recruiting Olivia & Lycanroc for the duration of the event. Co-op battles rewarded the player with Voucher B which could be exchanged for items in the shop.

The event was again available in Training Events that ran from January 1 to 15, 2020. This introduced the Very Hard and Super Hard difficulty single player battles, and the Super Hard difficulty co-op battles. Co-op battles rewarded the player with Voucher M.

Grass-type Training Event

The first Grass-type training event ran from September 17 to 30, 2019. It was focused on Lyra & Chikorita. The "Lyra Spotlight Scout!" gave players an increased chance of recruiting Lyra & Chikorita for the duration of the event. Co-op battles rewarded the player with Voucher C which could be exchanged for items in the shop.

A second Grass-type training event ran from October 24 to November 7, 2019. It was focused on Brendan & Treecko. The "Brendan Spotlight Scout!" gave players an increased chance of recruiting Brendan & Treecko for the duration of the event. Co-op battles rewarded the player with Voucher G.

A Grass-type training event was again available in "Training Events" that ran from January 1 to 15, 2020. This introduced the Very Hard and Super Hard difficulty single player battles, and the Super Hard difficulty co-op battles. Co-op battles rewarded the player with Voucher M.

A fourth Grass-type training event ran from February 10 to 24, 2020. It was focused on Brendan & Treecko and Lyra & Chikorita. The "Brendan and Lyra Spotlight Scout" gave players an increased chance of recruiting Brendan & Treecko and Lyra & Chikorita for the duration of the event. During this event, the player could increase the sync move level for Rosa & Snivy and Erika & Vileplume in the shop. Unlike previous Grass-type training events, both single player and co-op battles rewarded the player with Voucher Q.

Water-type Training Event

The first Water-type training event ran from September 23 to October 7, 2019. It was focused on Hilbert & Oshawott. The "Hilbert Spotlight Scout!" gave players an increased chance of recruiting Hilbert & Oshawott for the duration of the event. Co-op battles rewarded the player with Voucher D which could be exchanged for items in the shop.

A second Water-type training event ran from November 21 to December 5, 2019. It was focused on Kris & Totodile. The "Kris Spotlight Scout" gave players an increased chance of recruiting Kris & Totodile for the duration of the event. Co-op battles rewarded the player with Voucher J.

A Water-type training event was again available in "Training Events" that ran from January 1 to 15, 2020. This introduced the Very Hard and Super Hard difficulty single player battles, and the Super Hard difficulty co-op battles. Co-op battles rewarded the player with Voucher M.

A fourth Water-type training event ran from June 4 to 18, 2020. During this event, the player could increase the sync move level for Barry & Piplup and Misty & Starmie in the shop. Unlike previous Water-type training events, both single player and co-op battles rewarded the player with Water Vouchers.

Poison-type Training Event

This training event ran from July 10 to 24, 2020. Single player and co-op battles rewarded the player with Poison Vouchers, and an Ultra Hard single player battle rewarded Super Poison Vouchers and was limited to one challenge per day. During this event, the player could purchase a 3★ Tech Move Candy and 4★ Tech Move Candy in the shop. The "Plumeria and Lucy Spotlight Scout" gave players an increased chance of recruiting Plumeria & Salazzle and Lucy & Seviper for the duration of the event.
