Trivia

Even though Piloswine can only evolve into Mamoswine from Generation IV onwards, Swinub can learn Ancientpower in Generations II and III as an egg move, and a Swinub knowing Ancientpower can be caught as a Shadow Pokémon in Pokémon XD.

Origin

Mamoswine appears to be based on a combination of a wooly mammoth and a boar.

Name origin

Mamoswine is a combination mammoth and swine.

Manmoo may be a combination of "mammoth" and "buu", Japanese onomatopoeia for the sound a pig makes.
