Pokémon availability (Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!)

This is the Pokémon availability page for the Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! games.

Both games are compatible with just 153 Pokémon species, making them the first set of core series games to fully exclude Pokémon species from preceding games. They feature three Mythical Pokémon (Mew, Meltan, and Melmetal) which are not found in-game but are available by other means. In addition, these games are compatible with the 18 Alolan forms and the 15 Kanto Mega Evolutions.

Availability

The first 150 species in the Kanto Pokédex are obtainable in-game, subject to 4 trade evolutions and 11 version-exclusives each—which would normally necessitate trading between versions for Pokédex completion, but upon reaching Fuchsia City, these 150 can also be transferred (one-way) into the games from Pokémon GO via the GO Park. Using this transfer method, Meltan and Melmetal become obtainable. The other Mythical Pokémon, Mew, is exclusively obtained from the Poké Ball Plus. Only one Mew is obtainable per Poké Ball Plus; and Meltan is only able to evolve into Melmetal within Pokémon GO.

All of the 150 except for Mewtwo are repeatedly obtainable in-game when combining both versions, although some require reviving Cerulean Cave Fossils (of Aerodactyl, Kabuto or Omanyte), or by catching rare spawns. These rare spawns, which allow for exclusive in-game event Pokémon to be recaptured, include the Kanto first partner Pokémon (Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle), the Fighting Dojo prizes (Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan)—in addition to Lapras, Porygon, Snorlax, and Chansey (the latter not being rare in Cerulean Cave). The remaining rare spawns, which are in the sky and only unlocked after becoming Champion, consist of Charizard, Dragonite, and the legendary birds (Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres). Without Catch Combos, these rare spawns generate at a combined 1 in 200 chance—the exception is the legendary birds, which instead have a 1 in 2000 combined chance of being generated.

Most species are catchable in Let's Go, Pikachu! (LGP) and Let's Go, Eevee! (LGE), but 23 require evolving the previous evolutionary stage. The species that require evolution include the 5 remaining Kanto first partner evolutions (Ivysaur, Venusaur, Charmeleon, Wartortle, and Blastoise); the 4 Let's Go partner evolutions (Raichu, Vaporeon, Jolteon, and Flareon); 4 version-exclusives (Arbok and Primeape for LGE, and Sandslash and Persian for LGP); the 4 trade evolutions (Alakazam, Machamp, Golem and Gengar); the 2 Fossil evolutions (Kabutops and Omastar); and finally, 4 other evolutions (Wigglytuff, Parasect, Hypno and Marowak). Additionally, Butterfree is not catchable in LGE and Beedrill is not catchable in LGP.

Variant availability

Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! combined have a total of 212 forms (210 compatible per version), consisting of the 186 original, Alolan, and Mega Evolved forms; 22 as a result of gender differences (for 208 Pokédex forms); and 2 partner forms with each of their gender differences.

The 18 Alolan forms are exclusively obtained via a set of in-game trades. The Alolan forms of Raticate, Sandslash, Ninetales, Dugtrio, Persian, Graveler, Golem and Muk are obtained by the evolution of the Alolan Rattata, Sandshrew, Vulpix, Diglett, Meowth, Geodude and Grimer forms received via trading, respectively. The remaining forms received via in-game trade are Alolan Raichu, Exeggutor and Marowak.

Partner Pikachu and Eevee are exclusive to Let's Go, Pikachu! and Eevee!, respectively. Each game has only one partner Pikachu or Eevee; it cannot evolve, and it cannot be traded or transferred to other games. However, regular Pikachu and Eevee are available in both games.

All Pokémon forms can be obtained Shiny except for Mew, and partner Pikachu and Eevee. Apart from partner Pikachu and Eevee, which are both scale-locked (4 different scalars within the AV range), all forms can be obtained in any size: XS, S, AV, L, or XL.

Each version has 16 version-exclusive forms (or 17 including the partner's gender difference); but in addition, Let's Go, Pikachu! has 3 version-exclusive gender differences (Gloom, Vileplume, and Scyther). Of the in-game trades and their evolutions, Alolan Sandshrew, Sandslash, Grimer and Muk are exclusive to Let's Go, Pikachu!, while Alolan Vulpix, Ninetales, Meowth and Persian are exclusive to Let's Go, Eevee!

Combing both versions, a total of 346 gender-form combinations are possible. 158 forms, consisting of 126 Species, 18 Alolan forms, 12 Mega Evolutions and both partner forms, can be both female and male, amounting to 316 combinations after doubling. The remaining combinations are from 30 single gender forms, including 17 gender unknown forms (Magnemite, Magneton, Voltorb, Electrode, Staryu, Starmie, Ditto, Porygon, Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Mewtwo, Mega Mewtwo X, Mega Mewtwo Y, Mew, Meltan, and Melmetal), 6 male-only forms (Nidoran♂, Nidorino, Nidoking, Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, and Tauros), and 7 female-only forms (Nidoran♀, Nidorina, Nidoqueen, Chansey, Kangaskhan, Mega Kangaskhan, and Jynx).

Level availability

All but two Pokémon, Lickitung and Mewtwo, can be obtained in-game at level 50 or below. Both, along with Golduck (which is obtained below level 50 by evolving Psyduck), are exclusive to Cerulean Cave. Golduck and Lickitung can be caught as low as level 51, while Mewtwo is only available to be caught at level 70. Regarding the other Legendary Pokémon, the legendary birds (Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres) are all obtained at level 50 in their in-game event locations. And although Dragonite only evolves from Dragonair starting at level 55, a Dragonite (or even a legendary bird) as low as level 3 can be caught from a rare flying spawn in the post-game.

At level 70, Mewtwo is the highest-level encounter. Otherwise, level 57 is the highest level for wild Pokémon, occurring for the Cerulean Cave or rare flying spawns while a lure is in effect. When one is not in effect, they can spawn as high as level 56.

Level 1 Pokémon cannot be obtained except via transferring from Pokémon GO (or Poké Ball Plus in the case of Mew). This is because no breeding is present in the game, and the fact the lowest level wild Pokémon, such as Pidgey and Rattata, are only encountered at level 3 or above.

The availability of forms in order of places visited in Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! is shown below, counting up to 209 forms, which is the total number of obtainable non-Shiny forms on a single file. It shows Pokémon evolving at the earliest location and also assumes the player trades the same Pokémon to the complementing version for trade evolutions.

• Many of the locations can be travelled through in different orders. The order mostly follows the walkthrough, with a different order once the player obtains Sea Skim in Fuchsia City.
• The (All Transfers) totals include Mew, Meltan and Melmetal. Subtracting one from the total after Poké Ball Plus and up to two after GO Park allows for the calculation of totals excluding them.
• The totals before "or" are from Let's Go, Pikachu! and the totals after "or" are from Let's Go Eevee!
• Several Pokémon are initially obtained only once when combining both versions and/or there is initially only 1 specimen for 2 evolutionary stages. The affected Pokémon are Magikarp/Gyarados, Persian/Arcanine, Hitmonlee/Hitmonchan and Omanyte/Omastar/Kabuto/Kabutops. A (-n) following the totals indicates the magnitude of the imbalance.
• Pokémon with gender differences are represented by a GD next to their sprites, stone evolutions by SE, trade evolutions by TE, the Alolan form trades by AT, a single request reward by SRR, special encounters by SP, and gender unknown by ⚪︎.
• Pokémon obtained via evolution have a darker background, while Pokémon previously listed are in the reddish background.
• A Gym Badge or Champion Ribbon below the text of the location indicates the Gym or Elite Four challenge is intended to happen after collecting the Pokémon in that location.

The availability of evolved Pokémon in the wild at their earliest locations is shown below, excluding those that already appear in the same earliest location as their non-evolved counterparts. Catching these Pokémon can save time with leveling up or prevent the using up of an Evolution stone. There are 28 of these species, with 3 version-exclusives each. 7 of them have gender differences, with 3 being exclusive to Let's Go, Pikachu! The remaining 6 in-game event Pokémon that can be recaptured are also included (with a darker background).

Pokémon GO and HOME interaction

The games are incompatible with Pokémon Bank, but you can, however, transfer Pokémon one-way into Pokémon HOME.

No Ribbons are present in the games, but Pokémon GO origin marks are. All compatible Pokémon species except Mew, as well as all Alolan forms, can be transferred from Pokémon GO and thus possess the Pokémon GO origin mark. After Pokémon are transferred into Pokémon HOME from the games, those without a Pokémon GO origin mark will gain a Let's Go origin mark instead.

• As of Generation IX, 174 Pokémon species and 193 forms can have the Let's Go origin mark in HOME. In addition to the 151 Generation I species and 18 Alolan forms, a further 23 species and 1 additional form not compatible with Let's Go, Pikachu! or Eevee! can be obtained via evolution in later games.
  • Version 1.0.0 of Pokémon Sword and Shield made 8 of the then 21 Kanto-originated cross-generational evolutions (Bellossom, Espeon, Umbreon, Steelix, Rhyperior, Leafeon, Glaceon, and Sylveon), along with Galarian  Weezing, obtainable with the Let's Go origin mark.
  • Version 1.2.0 (The Isle of Armor) enabled 10 more to be obtained with the Let's Go origin mark: Politoed, Slowking, Scizor, Kingdra, Porygon2, Blissey, Magnezone, Lickilicky, Tangrowth, and Porygon-Z.
  • Version 1.3.0 (The Crown Tundra) made the remaining 3 available with the Let's Go origin mark: Crobat, Electivire, and Magmortar.
  • Pokémon Legends: Arceus introduced Kleavor, with HOME Version 2.0.0 enabling transferring so it could be obtained with the Let's Go origin mark.
  • Pokémon Scarlet and Violet introduced Annihilape, with HOME Version 3.0.0 enabling transferring so it could be obtained with the Let's Go origin mark.

Storing 25 of a Pokémon species or Alolan form (except Mew) in GO Park enables a mini-game called Play Yard for that species or Alolan form. Since there are only 1000 storage spaces for Pokémon (mirroring regular storage), that means only 40 out of 170 possible play yards can simultaneously exist on one save file.

In Pokémon GO, as part of its size variation mechanic, XXS and XXL Pokémon each have a 1 in 250 chance to be generated. When one of these extreme-sized Pokémon is obtained and transferred into Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!, both its height and weight scalar values are set to either 0 or 255, depending on whether it was initially XXS or XXL, respectively. This results in the specimen having the minimum or maximum possible in-game height and weight for its species (or form). In contrast, generation of both of these values for a native Pokémon in Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! has less than a 1 in 25 million chance to occur with the highest Catch Combo—albeit due to a lack of display precision, additional values may also give the minimum and maximum possible measurements depending on the Pokémon species/form.
