Leafeon (Japanese: リーフィア Leafia) is a Grass-type Pokémon.

Biology

Physiology

Leafeon is a fox-like creature with some plant, dog, and cat parts. Its body is tan colored. It has one shade of dark brown that is carried out on the tip of its paws, as its eye colour, and in the center of the ear. It has sprouts growing all over it, making it look more like a plant. It has a longer sprout of its forehead. Leafeon has a leaf-like tail.

Gender differences

None.

Special abilities

Leafeon can use any attack that Eevee knows with the addition of Grass-type attacks. As a fully evolved Pokémon, Leafeon can learn Hyper Beam and Giga Impact. It can also clean the air around it.

Behavior

Like most Grass-types, it is probably gentle. Seeing as it has not been seen yet in the anime, not much of its behavior is known currently.

Habitat

As an Eevee, it chooses to live anywhere it wants. From there, it can evolve to its surroundings. In this case, Eevee has lived in a forest and evolved into Leafeon.

Diet

Main article: Pokémon food:

It gets its food from photosynthesis; if there is no sunlight it will eat fresh leaves.

In the anime

A statue of Leafeon could be seen in The Rise of Darkrai.

In the manga

Mitsumi has a Leafeon in Pokémon DP.

Trivia

  • A Template:Type2 Eeveelution was long theorized to be a Pokémon that would later on be released, largely due to Eevee using all the elemental stones in the first generation except Leaf and Moon (Although Leafeon still doesn't require the Leaf Stone to evolve from Eevee).
  • Leafeon is tied with Umbreon and Vaporeon for the tallest Eevee evolution.

Origin

Like most Eeveelutions, it has traits of foxes, dogs, and cats. It also has traits of plants.

Name origin

Its name is derived from leaf. It also has the "eon" part, like all Eeveelutions.

Its German name, Folipurba, comes from folium, Latin for leaf. Its Frech name, Phyllali, comes from phyto- and feuille.
