- Capsakid is the only non-Field Egg Group Pokémon and the only Grass-type Pokémon to evolve when exposed to a Fire Stone.
Origin
Capsakid's category and appearance suggests it may be based on an immature chili pepper, with its spiked crown and beak resembling the kappa. It also resembles a newly hatched baby dinosaur, with its white cap resembling a piece of egg shell.
Name origin
Capsakid may be a combination of capsaicin (active component of chili peppers), kappa, and kid.
Kapusaiji may be a combination of capsaicin, kappa, and 児 ji (child)
