In the manga
In the Pokémon Adventures manga
Route 3 debuted in the Sword & Shield arc, where Sōdo, Shirudomiria, Marvin, and Sonia passed through it while on their way to Turffield. When they arrived at the entrance to the Galar Mine, they encountered Hop, Bede, and Marnie, who had been forced to stop there by a boulder blocking the entrance. With their combined teamwork, the boulder was moved out of the way, although Bede stayed behind to break it with his Hatenna's Psychic powers and search for Wishing Stars from the resulting rubble.
