Pokémon world locations

The Rolling Fields (Japanese: うららか草原 Splendid Grassland) are a part of the Wild Area in the Galar region, located in the south of the southern portion of the Wild Area. It connects to Meetup Spot to its south, Dappled Grove to its west, West Lake Axewell to its northwest, East Lake Axewell to its north, and South Lake Miloch to its northeast.

Geography

A vague path slopes downwards from the Rolling Fields' southern access, leading directly north from Meetup Spot to the shore of Lake Axewell south of its island, Axew's Eye. Near the end of this path, an Ingredients Seller stands under a tree on the lakeshore.

Branching east of the path to Lake Axewell is a largely open area with a ring of tall grass in its center encircling a Pokémon Den. The east end of this area comes to a cliff overlooking Lake Miloch. Along the cliff wall of the Wild Area south of the encircled den is another den guarded by tall grass, and east along the wall in a corner that overlooks the lake is a third den.

North of the encircled den, the land slopes downward. A den lies in this direction near the shore of Lake Axewell on the west. An obvious path along the Lake Axewell shore leads slightly west into East Lake Axewell and towards the Motostoke gate, but a path running along the cliff alongside Lake Miloch leads to down into South Lake Miloch.

West of the path leading from the Meetup Spot towards Axew's Eye is a moderately forested area. A Berry tree and a den lie near the path closer to its southern end. The area near the lakeshore is largely clear of tall grass and trees, and reveals branching pathways to the west. A path mostly hugging the lakeshore leads towards a Pokémon Den and a footbridge across Lake Axewell; shortly beyond the den and before the bridge lies the border to West Lake Axewell. The branch heading more southerly itself branches again. The wider, northerly path leads towards the lakeshore of the western half of Lake Axewell, while the narrower path further south leads to a nearby den and, further, to a nook in the cliff walls with a second den.

Along the southern lakeshore of the west half of Lake Axewell is a half-circle of tall grass. Inside this half-circle is a den, a smaller patch of grass, and a Berry tree. While other fields of grass in the Rolling Fields have common Pokémon like Bunnelby or Wingull, this field contains Pancham instead. Diglett and Roggenrola can also be found in the open area near the southeast end of this field. Just west of this half-circle lies the Dappled Grove.

Ingredients Seller

An Ingredients Seller is located next to a tree just north of the Meetup Spot.

Each day, his stock is selected randomly from the pool below. He sells five items in total at a time: three different $150 items, two or three different $400 items, and up to one $950 item.

Pokémon Adventures

Sword & Shield arc

The Rolling Fields appeared in Zap!! A Rising Beam of Light, where Henry, Casey, Professor Magnolia, and Marvin arrived there to investigate the local Pokémon Dens. Before they could do so, however, Henry and Casey received a delivery containing their Gym Challenge uniforms. They were then attacked by a pair of Team Yell Grunts, who wanted to destroy the uniforms to make the two Pokédex holders give up on the Gym Challenge and thus better Marnie's odds of winning it instead.

While they battled the Grunts, Henry came up with a plan, and he and Casey dragged the Grunts into a Pokémon Den with them, forcing them to team up with their opponents in a Max Raid Battle against a Dynamax Gurdurr. After Gurdurr was defeated and caught by Henry, the defeated Grunts left in frustration.
