Twister (Japanese: たつまき Twister) is a damage-dealing Dragon-type move introduced in Generation II.

Effect

Generation II

Twister inflicts damage and has a 20% chance of causing each target to flinch.

Twister can hit Pokémon during the semi-invulnerable turns of Fly and if it does, it will deal double damage.

Generation III

In a Double Battle, Twister will hit all adjacent opponents.

Twister can hit Pokémon during the semi-invulnerable turns of Bounce and if it does, it will deal double damage.

Generation V

In a Triple Battle, Twister will hit all adjacent opponents.

Twister can hit Pokémon during the semi-invulnerable turns of Sky Drop and if it does, it will deal double damage.

Generation VI

Twister will hit Berry trees found in the background of battles.

Description

A Dragon-type attack. Has a one-in-five chance of causing the target to flinch.
Whips up a tornado to attack.
RSE Whips up a vicious twister to tear at the foe.
FRLG A vicious twister attacks the foe. It may make the foe flinch.
Whips up a vicious twister which may cause flinching.
PMDRB Inflicts damage on the target. It may also cause the target to cringe, making it incapable of action. Doubles damage on a flying or bouncing Pokémon.
The user whips up a vicious twister to tear at the foe. It may also make the foe flinch.
The user whips up a vicious tornado to tear at the foe. It may also make the foe flinch.
The user whips up a vicious tornado to tear at the opposing team. It may also make targets flinch.

  Kingdra points its head up and spins around quickly, making itself into a twister. If the user is in the water, it creates a water tornado and the opponent becomes trapped in the tornado, or Kingdra moves its back fins and a twister appears. Kingdra can also control where the Twister can go.
