The Isle of Armor (Japanese: 鎧の孤島 The Solitary Island of Armor) is the first expansion in the Pokémon Sword and Shield Expansion Pass. Featuring the Isle of Armor, the theme of the expansion is "growth". It is set to be released on June 17, 2020.

Pokémon

A patch will be released in conjection with the launch of The Isle of Armor. Players can access these new and returning Pokémon even if they have not purchased the Expansion Pass with the help of trading and Pokémon HOME.

New Pokémon and forms

The Legendary Pokémon Kubfu and Urshifu will debut in The Isle of Armor.

Galarian Slowpoke can be evolved into Galarian Slowbro using an item found in the Isle of Armor.

Gigantamax

New Gigantamax forms will be introduced. This includes Venusaur, Blastoise, Rillaboom, Cinderace, and Inteleon. The new Pokémon Urshifu also has two different Gigantamax forms.

Additionally, this expansion will allow the player to train certain Pokémon traveling with them to be able to Gigantamax, such as their starter Pokémon.[1]

Items

Apricorns will make a return, and can be made into Poké Balls. The Exp. Charm will increase the Exp. Points earned by the player's party.

Moves

Additional Move Tutor moves will be available, including new moves.

Customization

The protagonist can wear training clothes. New fashion items will also be available. The Rotom Bike can also be customized further than before.

The Cram-o-matic

Inside the dojo on the Isle of Armor, you find the Cram-o-matic, a Cramorant resembling robot, that you are able to feed four items for it to fuse, giving you a new item. It is currently known Poké Balls and PP Ups can be obtained using it.

Restricted Sparring

Restricted Sparring is a special battle feature in which participants are limited in the types of Pokémon they can use and are forced to battle under set conditions.
