Inteleon first appeared as a Sobble at the end of Toughing It Out!, where it was startled by Ash's training with his newly caught Farfetch'd. In Sobbing Sobble!, using its ability to blend into its surroundings, Sobble started to steal the food that Ash, Goh, and their Pokémon were eating before revealing itself. It attempted to hide in a fountain, only for Goh to blindly throw a Poké Ball at it, accidentally catching it. Goh sent Sobble out soon after to battle a Silicobra that he wanted to catch. Sobble tried blending into its surroundings, but Silicobra covered it with sand, causing it to become visible, before escaping. This caused Sobble to run away, with Goh unable to recall it. Sobble ran into TRT and was captured when heading down a river. When Ash and Goh came to its defense, Sobble escaped on its own, seeing how Goh cared for it.

In Making Battles in the Sand!, Sobble joined in a battle against a wild Goh in Mauville City. It managed to dissipate Flygon's Sandstorm with Water Gun, but when it was hit by Flygon's Dragon Rush and was about to burst into tears, Goh quickly recalled it.

In Sobble Spies a Stealthy Strategy!, Goh brought Sobble with him to a movie shooting in Vermilion City, where it immediately took a liking to actress Jacqueline's Inteleon. It wanted to become brave and strong like Inteleon, but it proved too cowardly during battle training. However, Goh devised a method to use Sobble's cowardice to its advantage as a basis for a hit-and-run strategy. When a film crew member's Gothita was stolen by Team Rocket, Ash and Goh went to rescue it but were caught in a cage, with Sobble being left to deal with MTR and Jessie by itself. Its new hit-and-run strategy proved useful with its invisibility until it was covered in chalk dust and revealed. Despite Goh telling it to run, Sobble mustered enough courage to stand and fight, learning U-turn to defeat Meowth and Wobbuffet before helping Ash and Goh escape the cage. After Team Rocket had been defeated, Jacqueline arrived at the site with the rest of the film crew and congratulated Sobble on its effort, much to its delight.

In Not Too Close for Comfort!, after saving List of Goh's Pokémon from a falling Sitrus Berry, Sobble evolved into Drizzile. However, seeing that it hadn't evolved into Inteleon, it became depressed and retreated into a cave in Cerise Park. When Goh and Cinderace found it and took it out of the cave, it camouflaged itself and fled. When Goh eventually found it, he told it how he could relate to it, based on his childhood experiences. By the next day, Drizzile had returned to Cerise Park, and Goh agreed to let it stay in the cave as long as it wanted to.

In Detective Drizzile!, Drizzile was practicing its Water Gun at night when it spotted an intruder stealing Cerise Laboratory's information. The next night, along with Goh, it caught the thief, Gizmo, and his Kecleon. When Goh tried to shield Drizzile from Kecleon, it remembered its time with Goh and evolved into Inteleon. It defeated Kecleon and stopped Gizmo from escaping with its newly learned Snipe Shot. With this evolution, Inteleon rejoined Goh's team.

Goh sent Sobble out soon after to battle a Silicobra that he wanted to catch. Sobble tried blending into its surroundings, but Silicobra covered it with sand, causing it to become visible, before escaping. This caused Sobble to run away, with Goh unable to recall it. Heading down a river, Sobble ran into TRT and was captured. When Ash and Goh came to its defense, Sobble, seeing how Goh cared for it, escaped on its own.
In Looking Out for Number Two!, Goh used Inteleon to battle a List of Goh's Pokémon as part of his second Trial Mission for Project Mew.

In Making Battles in the Sand!, Sobble joined in a battle against a wild List of Goh's Pokémon in Mauville City. It managed to dissipate Flygon's Sandstorm with Water Gun, but when it was hit by Flygon's Dragon Rush and was about to burst into tears, Goh quickly recalled it.
In The Gates of Warp!, Inteleon, along with Lucario, was stolen and taken away through a portal by Alternate World Team Rocket. In Showdown at the Gates of Warp!, Inteleon devolved back into Drizzile, then Sobble, and finally an Egg as a result of a clash between Dialga and Palkia distorting time. After Arceus stopped the fight between Dialga and Palkia, the category repaired the distortions their fighting had caused and restored all the devolved Pokémon back to normal, with Inteleon returning to Goh's team in the process.

After Team Rocket had been defeated, Jacqueline arrived at the site with the rest of the film crew and congratulated Sobble on its effort, much to its delight.
In The Arceus Chronicles (Part 3), Inteleon helped in an attempt to stop a rampaging Heatran from reaching Spear Pillar.

In Narrowing the Chaser Chase!, Inteleon was Goh's Pokémon of choice during his Project Mew Trial Mission at Sea Mauville, participating in a battle royale against other Project Mew Challengers. It teamed up with Horace's Gardevoir soon after the mission had begun, defeating many opponents with its support, including Sterling and Lyla. When Goh and Horace were the only Challengers remaining, Inteleon and Gardevoir fought each other, with Gardevoir landing the decisive hit and ending the battle royale in Horace's victory.
In Not Too Close for Comfort!, after saving List of Goh's Pokémon from a falling Sitrus Berry, Sobble evolved into Drizzile. However, upon seeing that it hadn't evolved into Inteleon, it became depressed and retreated into a cave in Cerise Park. When Goh and Cinderace later found it and took it out of the cave, it camouflaged itself and fled. When Goh eventually found it, he told it how he could relate to it, based on his own childhood experiences. By the next day, Drizzile had returned to Cerise Park, and Goh agreed to let it stay in the cave as long as it wanted to.

In JN078, Drizzile was practicing its Water Gun at night when it spotted an intruder stealing Cerise Laboratory's information. The next night, along with Goh, it caught the thief, Yabashi, and his Kecleon. When Goh tried to shield Drizzile from Kecleon, it remembered its time with Goh and evolved into Inteleon. It then defeated Kecleon and stopped Yabashi from escaping with its newly learned Snipe Shot.
In Just a Scone's Throw From Here!, Inteleon helped track down a Perrserker and two Galarian Meowth that had teamed up with Team Rocket and captured Cinderace's Nickit friends. After freeing them, the group worked together to battle the evildoers, with Inteleon taking down Team Rocket's Dubwool and Morgrem.

In This Could be the Start of Something Big!, Inteleon joined up with Cinderace, Grookey, Pikachu, and Lucario against Lugia in a Raid Battle. Despite firing off multiple strong attacks-including combining their moves for extra power-they were unable to defeat the Diving Pokémon. It later attended a surprise party hosted by the Lab members commemorating Goh and Ash's departure. After that, Inteleon posed for a group photo with Goh, Ash, and the others.

At first, Sobble wasn't comfortable with its Trainer, but when it saw how much Goh cared for it, its feelings changed. Sobble seems to have a huge emotional need for attention, as seen in There's a New Kid in Town!, where it made several Pokémon in the Cerise Park cry. Sobble was only able to calm down after receiving a warm hug from Ash's Dragonite. Since its capture, Sobble has become one of Goh's closest Pokémon, often appearing out of camouflage by his side and catching him and others by surprise. When not with Goh, Sobble has often been spotted hiding in small, secluded, and dark places like drawers and cupboards. Sobble had difficulty dealing with strangers, becoming quite uncomfortable when Professor Kukui tried interacting with it. However, it also had no problem in staying with Mallow during Goh and Kiawe's battle.

Typical of its species, Sobble can blend in with its surroundings, allowing it to hide and take advantage of that to battle opponents. Also typical of its species, Sobble cries a lot, to the point where its cries would cause anyone around it to also cry uncontrollably. It tends to cry so hard it gets wet with its tears, triggering its camouflage. As seen in Making Battles in the Sand!, Sobble might start to cry if hit with a powerful attack, prompting a hasty withdrawal from Goh before its tears start hindering others. In Sobble Spies a Stealthy Strategy!, Sobble became motivated to become stronger after watching Jacqueline's Inteleon but was still having difficulty battling, where it was too focused on its own safety to attack. Recognizing this, Goh developed its ability to hide instead, focusing on getting at a safe distance before attacking with Water Gun. Thanks to this training, Sobble was able to fend off TRT by itself, learning U-turn and gaining confidence in itself in the process. It even gained the confidence to play a prank on Goh's Darmanitan by hiding in a tree and spraying it with Water Gun, paying it back for its prior pranks.

After its evolution, however, Drizzile's personality changed drastically. Because Sobble believed it would evolve directly into Inteleon, and finding itself in an entirely new form, Drizzile became depressed and withdrew, becoming aloof to anything and anyone around it. When some of Goh's Pokémon became annoyed with its depressive state and attacked it, Drizzile not only did nothing about it, but willingly took the attacks without any attempts to protect itself. Drizzile also became distant towards Goh, with the Water Lizard Pokémon somewhat disappointed with its Trainer for not understanding its feelings. However, after Goh finally understood its feelings and revealed that he had similar feelings of his own in the past, Drizzile, while still deciding to remain distant to sulk over its disappointment, appreciated Goh and his efforts. Upon evolving into Inteleon, however, it appears to have shed these traits, becoming a confident yet calm and collected Pokémon. It became even closer to Goh, even consoling him when he was nearly on the verge of tears out of happiness. It has proven itself to be a resourceful battler, able to attack even moving targets from a distance with its powerful Snipe Shot.

After evolving, Drizzile appears to have better control over its camouflage, being able to control whether it blends in or not when it becomes wet. It can also create water bombs out of its palms, which it can use as traps or squeeze forcefully to shoot water out, a trait that, as Goh pointed out, brings it closer in style to Inteleon.

Sobble and Cinderace have formed a special bond with each other, acting like siblings. The two seem to enjoy each other's company, with Raboot sharing its food with Sobble and being able to calm Sobble down if it feels upset. After Drizzile evolved, the energetic Cinderace didn't quite understand why it had become so lethargic and was even seen trying to drag Drizzile out of its cave with the best of intentions in mind. Once evolved, Cinderace seems to have a sense of partnership and respect for Inteleon, evidenced by the manner Cinderace treats Inteleon once it comes out of the Poké Ball in The Arceus Chronicles (Part 3).

Goh's Inteleon (Japanese: ゴウのインテレオン Go's Intereon) is the third Pokémon that Goh caught in the Galar region, and his fifty-second overall. It was often seen outside its Poké Ball.

In the anime

History

Sobble ran into Team Rocket and was captured when heading down a river. When Ash and Goh came to its defense, Sobble escaped on its own, seeing how Goh cared for it.

Sobble admiring Jacqueline's Inteleon

In Making Battles in the Sand!, Sobble joined in a battle against a wild Flygon in Mauville City. It managed to dissipate Flygon's Sandstorm with Water Gun, but when it was hit by Flygon's Dragon Rush and was about to burst into tears, Goh quickly recalled it.

When a film crew member's Gothita was stolen by Team Rocket, Ash and Goh went to rescue it but were caught in a cage, with Sobble being left to deal with Meowth and Wobbuffet by itself.

Drizzile being camouflaged

In Not Too Close for Comfort!, after saving Oddish from a falling Sitrus Berry, Sobble evolved into Drizzile.

Drizzile battling Gizmo's Kecleon

In Detective Drizzile!, Drizzile was practicing its Water Gun at night when it spotted an intruder stealing Cerise Laboratory's information. The next night, along with Goh, it caught the thief, Gizmo, and his Kecleon. When Goh tried to shield Drizzile from Kecleon, it remembered its time with Goh and evolved into Inteleon. It defeated Kecleon and stopped Gizmo from escaping with its newly learned Snipe Shot. With this evolution, Inteleon rejoined Goh's team.

In Looking Out for Number Two!, Goh used Inteleon to battle a Kingdra as part of his second Trial Mission for Project Mew.

After Arceus stopped the fight between Dialga and Palkia, the Temporal and Spatial Pokémon repaired the distortions their fighting had caused and restored all the devolved Pokémon back to normal, with Inteleon returning to Goh's team in the process.

Inteleon and Cinderace

Personality and characteristics

Sobble crying

Thanks to this training, Sobble was able to fend off Team Rocket by itself, learning U-turn and gaining confidence in itself in the process. It even gained the confidence to play a prank on Goh's Darmanitan by hiding in a tree and spraying it with Water Gun, paying it back for its prior pranks.

Inteleon and Goh

Inteleon's infrared vision
