Trivia
- Nosepass's entry on the Pokémon.com Pokédex shows it as not having any evolution. Probopass's entry shows that it evolves from Nosepass, but Nosepass's picture is absent. The same thing happens with Yanma and Yanmega.
- Nosepass is the only pure Template:Type2 whose evolution is dual-type, as Probopass is Rock/Steel.
- Nosepass's body was gray and more "curvy" during the Generation III games, but was changed to blue and more angular in Generation IV.
- Nosepass is one of the three Pokémon to evolve at a certain area; the other two are Eevee and Magneton.
- Out of the three, Magneton and Nosepass evolve at Mt. Coronet.
- Nosepass is the only Pokémon which undergoes evolution in a specific area that is catchable in that same area.
Origin
It is probably based on the Moai statues of Easter Island.
Name origin
Nosepass's name may be a combination of nose and compass.
In other languages
- German: Nasgnet - Derived from nase (nose) and magnet.
- French: Tarinor - From narine (nostril), and nord (north).
- Korean: 코코파스 Cocopass
