List of cross-generational evolutionary lines

This is a list of Pokémon that, when evolving, turn into a Pokémon from a different generation of Pokémon, for example, Pichu, a Generation II Pokémon, evolves into Pikachu, a Generation I Pokémon.

A few of these Pokémon, as a result of new evolutions, become branch-evolution Pokémon. Those Pokémon which evolve into a Pokémon of a previous generation, instead of from it, are specifically baby Pokémon.

Chansey family

Chansey is one of four Pokémon that initially did not evolve nor evolve from another Pokémon, but as of Generation IV, is part of a 3-stage evolution (the other three being, Electabuzz, Magmar and Roselia).

Electabuzz family

Electabuzz is one of four Pokémon that initially did not evolve nor evolve from another Pokémon, but as of Generation IV, is part of a 3-stage evolution (the other three being, Chansey, Magmar and Roselia).

Magmar family

Magmar is one of four Pokémon that initially did not evolve nor evolve from another Pokémon, but as of Generation IV, is part of a 3-stage evolution (the other three being, Chansey, Electabuzz and Roselia).
