My Stance on Things

This will change occasionaly, depending on what in the Pokémon franchise I am thinking about. Today...

Cheating

Cheating has always been a shaky topic, with some saying that it is fine and some considering it illegal. Me? I'm 50/50. No, cheating is not evil or anything OTT like that. I don't like to do it, because I wouldn't enjoy the outcome as much as the required gameplay if I were to not cheat. However. I have no Wi-Fi. I have no events within, like, 80 miles from where I live, so I understand players' frustrations when there are Event-only Pokémon. Especially when there are particularly Useful, Strong, or Cool Pokémon. So yes, once, I relied on a friend getting me a cheated Pokémon (I have no cheating device). My Shaymin. It isn't hacked or over-powerful, it's normal, caught with a standard Cherish ball* by my friend.

Even hacking strong Pokémon is fine in my books, but I wouldn't do it, because then you're just re-using a move a hundred times. I don't know about competition play, though. That might be a sore point.

Lock Down

Something about our dear old wiki now, and I'm talking about a lock-down to prevent speculation.

Do it. Do it, I say. In my opinion, it's really the only option to avoid the rediculous page wipe vandals, and new users being lost in a flurry of edits. The servers crashed badly last time, and I missed our dear old wiki. I don't mind it being locked down, as I trust the staff of this lovely little wiki to do the good job they always do.

If it does get locked down, I'll miss editing, but if it's necessary, I wouldn't mind it being locked down.

Well Done!

Okay, rant over. And if you made it to the end, that's great! Sorry I don't have a prize or something, but you don't mind, right?
