Location Location of Valor Lakefront in Sinnoh. |
Valor Lakefront (Japanese: リッシ湖のほとり Risshi Lakefront) is one of Sinnoh's lakefronts and links Routes 213, 214, 222, and Lake Valor.
After the player has earned both the Cobble Badge and the Fen Badge and defeated the Team Galactic Grunts outside the Galactic Warehouse in Veilstone City, another Grunt in Pastoria City will spook after the player talks to him and run all the way to Valor Lakefront, where the Grunt will finally battle the player. After the player defeats the Grunt, he will run away to Lake Valor. Just before the blocked entrance to Lake Valor, the player will then meet Cynthia. She is worried about the group of Psyduck on Route 210. She gives the player a SecretPotion to cure the Psyduck of their headaches. She also tells the player a legend about a mirage Pokémon that lives inside the lake.
The southern portion of Valor Lakefront is part of Hotel Grand Lake, a resort comprising several small bungalows. Trainers may heal their Pokémon at the reception by talking to the receptionist.
Inside the westernmost house is the Game Director, who will give the player diplomas based on their Sinnoh Regional Pokédex or National Pokédex completion.

- Main article: Seven Stars Restaurant → Trainers
Five of nine possible pairs of guests appear in the restaurant, randomly selected each day. Each pair can be fought in a Double Battle once per day.
In the anime
In the anime, Ash, Dawn, and Brock first arrived at Port Valor, a large pier situated on the Valor Lakefront, in A Full Course Tag Battle!. There, they met up with May, and the four of them battled at the Sinnoh region's most popular restaurant, the Seven Stars Restaurant, for a chance to enjoy some free fine dining.
From Staging a Heroes' Welcome! to Strategy with a Smile!, the Wallace Cup was held for three days at Lake Valor. Many Coordinators, including May and Zoey, gathered at the Lakeside Resort and transformed the normally peaceful community into a hot-bed of activity. Dawn won the Wallace Cup earning her the Aqua Ribbon.
At the end of Dealing With a Fierce Double Ditto Drama!, Ash and his friends returned to the Valor Lakefront for the Sinnoh Grand Festival. Through Last Call — First Round! to A Grand Fight for Winning!, the group stayed at the Lakeside Resort to support Dawn. Also at the resort were fellow competitors Zoey, Kenny, Nando, Ursula, and Jessilina. In the end, Zoey defeated Dawn in the final round of the Grand Festival, winning the Ribbon Cup as well as the title of Top Coordinator.
