Sand-Attack (Japanese: すなかけ Sand Attack) is a non-damaging Ground-type move introduced in Generation I, though it was instead a Normal-type move in that generation.
Effect
Generation I
Sand-Attack decreases the target's accuracy stat by one stage. Sand-Attack is a Normal-type move in this generation.
Generation II and on
The effects of Sand-Attack are the same as the previous generation, however it is now a Ground-type move. Although it is a Ground-type move, it still affects Flying-type Pokémon and those with the Ability Levitate.

Trivia
- Sand-Attack is one of the four moves to have its type changed in Generation II, the others being Gust, Bite, and Karate Chop. Coincidentally, they all were Normal-type moves in Generation I.
- Sand-Attack is the only Ground-type move that can hit Flying-type Pokémon under normal circumstances, since most status moves are exempt from type matchups.
