Stomp (Japanese: ふみつけ Trample) is a damage-dealing Normal-type move introduced in Generation I.

Effect

Generation I

Stomp inflicts damage and has a 30% chance of causing the target to flinch.

Stomp cannot make a target with a substitute flinch.

Generation II

If Stomp hits a Pokémon that had previously used Minimize, it will now have its power doubled.

Generation III

If Stomp hits a Pokémon that had previously used Minimize, the damage dealt will be doubled instead of its power (resulting in virtually the same effect).

Stomp can also be used as part of a Pokémon Contest combination, with the user gaining an extra appeal point if Leer was used in the prior turn.

Generation IV

If Stomp hits a Pokémon that had previously used Minimize, its power will be doubled instead of the damage dealt (resulting in virtually the same effect).

Generation V

If Stomp hits a Pokémon that had previously used Minimize, the damage dealt will be doubled instead of its power (resulting in virtually the same effect).

Generation VI

If the target has used Minimize, Stomp now bypasses accuracy checks to always hit, unless the target is in the semi-invulnerable turn of a move such as Dig or Fly.

Other effects

A Steenee that knows this move will evolve into Tsareena when leveled up.
