Information
Mythical Pokémon Zeraora and Deoxys were the focus of several products released on October 14, 2022 inspired by the Japanese VSTAR & VMAX High-Class Decks available in July the same year. The Zeraora V Battle Deck featured the Thunderclap Pokémon as a Pokémon V and an assortment of other Lightning-types, while the Deoxys V Battle Deck featured a Pokémon V card depicting the DNA Pokémon plus numerous supporting Psychic-types. Both decks included a selection of Trainer cards sourced from several Sword & Shield Series expansions and quantities of basic Energy cards. The V Battle Decks could be purchased individually or as a pair in the V Battle Deck—Zeraora vs. Deoxys. Two contemporaneous products were available from the same day: the Zeraora VMAX & VSTAR Battle Box and the Deoxys VMAX & VSTAR Battle Box, which included Upgrade Guides for integrating the power cards they contained into the decks.
Each 60-card V Battle Deck was packaged with a deck box, damage counters, a single-player playmat, a rules booklet, a Quick Guide, three reference cards, a Jumbo-sized coin, and a code card for the Pokémon Trading Card Game Live. The V Battle Deck—Zeraora vs. Deoxys kit was packaged with the same accessories in addition to a deck upgrade guide and a sealed pack that contained eight Trainer cards and another Pokémon TCG Live code card.
The Zeraora V Battle Deck contained two exclusive Non Holofoil prints of Sword & Shield Boltund plus re-releases of Non Holofoil Rebel Clash Luxray (×2) from the Rebel Clash Build & Battle Box and Non Holofoil Chilling Reign Thundurus (×1) from the Rayquaza V Battle Deck and V Battle Deck—Rayquaza vs. Noivern. The Deoxys V Battle Deck contained re-releases of Non Holofoil Chilling Reign Gardevoir (×2) from the Chilling Reign Build & Battle Box and Non Holofoil Chilling Reign Cresselia (×1) from the Shadow Rider Calyrex VMAX League Battle Deck. The combined kit included re-releases of Non Holofoil Boss's Orders (×2) from the Trainer's Toolkit 2022.
