Trivia

  • Blipbug shares its category with Grubbin. They are both known as the Larva Pokémon.

Origin

Blipbug may be based on a ladybird larva. Some details—namely the glasses-like eyes and bowtie-like neck feelers—may echo the image of a stereotypical "nerd".

Name origin

Blipbug may be a combination of blip and bug.

Satchimushi may be a combination of 察知 satchi (sense), search, and 虫 mushi (bug).
