My History of Pokémon

Well, I began having an interest of Pokémon when I was 7. I used to watch the original while getting dressed in the mornings for school. I got my first game in December. It was Pokémon Diamond. Man, I bugged my parents on end about Pokémon, and my dad even began calling me Pikachu. The following year, I got Sapphire. I was just as obsessed with that game as with Diamond. I watched my first Pokémon marathon when I was 10. That was when Cartoon Network was airing every Pokémon episode gearing up for Diamond & Pearl. That's when I really started getting into the anime. The very first shipping I supported was PokéShipping. Soon, I watched AdvanceShipping and was torn between AdvanceShipping and ContestShipping. ContestShipping won out in the end, but I was still a somewhat AdvanceShipper. Soon, I supported PearlShipping and that has been the biggest ship I support. I've also liked some of the other ships like TwinleafShipping, EgoShipping, IkariShipping...etc. My favorite girl character would have to be Dawn. She's spunky, and has a cute set of Pokémon. I can't wait for the release of HeartGold and SoulSilver. Although, I'm not too sure what game to get, but I'm sure that it will probably be the same!

My History of Shipping

Well, like I said, my first that I supported was PokéShipping. I thought that way they used to argue was pretty cute. And, there was the times she used to get jealous. Also, the Gotta Catch Ya Later! episode was sad, but also cute too. Then, May showed up. Hmm..interesting. I thought, and kept watching. Soon, I began to support AdvanceShipping. At the time, I was about 8 or 9, and I really didn't know the concept of "shipping". I just regarded it at, "Aw! Misty and Ash look cute together!" or "May and Ash are really cute!". I didn't really understand the actual names and all of that until I was 10. By then, I started to lean more towards ContestShipping, and gave that my full support. Now, the Diamond & Pearl saga rolled around and I was just amazed at the way Dawn supported Ash and vice-versa. She dressed as a cheerleader...! Wow! But, what really blew me away was the when Ash saved her in the Distortion World. Hand holding!! OMG! And, Kotone asked if they were a couple. Well, that hasn't happened yet..but, I wished she would have said yes! But, I don't just ship main girls and Ash. I like those lesser known like KitchenMaidShipping, LuckShipping, TwinleafShipping, IkariShipping, and others. But, when I found about same-sex shippings like AppealShipping and PalletShipping...woah. I support most of those too!

The Future of the Pokémon Anime

What's in store next in Pokémon? I honestly have no clue. I believe Ash will beat Paul...eventually. Maybe the Sinnoh League? Battle Frontier? Maybe Paul will surprise us and become champion. That would be Ash's ultimate test. I believe Misty will comeback in the DP saga. Maybe traveling with somebody new? At first I though she could be traveling with Kotone and (that other dude). But, when they were together (but at the same time not), my idea was gone. So..maybe Gary? But, he doesn't travel as a trainer hardly anymore. Dang! Oh, Dawn and May could pit it out again at the Sinnoh Grand Festival. Or maybe Dawn could go against her mother there? Sadly, I think one day, the Anime with cease to exist. :( But, with all of this speculation about Gen V (as seen below), they would have to keep making the Anime...right? Ok, so, here's some possible places they could travel.

1) Johto. According to May, they have contests in Johto. Dawn could keep going and collect ribbons there. Also, there is the Johto Battle Frontier, according to HG & SS. Then, Ash could try and challenge that. Also, they could meet up with Kotone and (that other dude) and travel around with them.

2) Sinnoh..still. Brock (wow, I finally mention him.) could go back to his gym, in a similar way Misty left. And, Ash could challenge the Sinnoh Battle Frontier. Maybe Paul and Ash could travel together?

3) Kanto. Ash is finally done with the Pokémon League and go back home and try and settle down. That's when the POV finally switches to somebody else. (Ha! That will probably not happen. But, hey.)

4) Age them dramatically. Finally, Pokémon will age all of the main characters and then start from there. Ash could be a businessman, Dawn could be an Idol, Brock could be a chef, Misty could be a stripper! (sarcasm. Pokémon would never do anything that fun.) And so on.

The Future of the Pokémon Games

So, we have HeartGold and SoulSilver coming out soon (and by soon, I mean eventually), so..what's happening after that? Maybe...something similar to Harvest Moon? But, with Pokémon and stuff? Crap. That was a horrible idea. Uh, maybe they might make a Main Series game for the Wii? They probably would make a lot of money off of it. Then, that would make the sell of Wii rise with that game, and they will be richer than ever. The end.

Gen V?

Gen V? Will that happen? Well, according the the article made here on Bulbapedia, I think it's highly likely. But, with every game (or just about), there was an Anime adapation. So, if there is Gen V, then the Anime would have to keep going. Maybe, instead of Water, Fire, Grass starters...we could take a test, similar to the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games, and go from there? Or at least have some different types! Psychic, Dark, Ghost? Or Dragon, Normal, Flying? Stuff like that? Oh! We should have an ultimate Pokémon game where you could travel to Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh! And, think about how huge the badge case would have to be!
