Blue (game)/Red, Green, and Blue

This is a list of the teams of the rival in Pokémon Red, Green, and Blue. His starter Pokémon depends on the player's choice (he will choose the one that weakens the player's), while the remainder of his team will be filled out based on this choice. In the battle on the S.S. Anne, Blue has a Raticate; however, before the next battle, Blue is facing a gravestone and he no longer has the Raticate. Some believe that his Raticate was killed, while others assume that he simply deposited it in the PC. He also says "Why are you here? It's not like any of your pokemon have died!"

In the theory that it Blue's Raticate was killed, some people believe that it was the fault of the player. This extended theory states that Blue was not able to take his Raticate to the Pokémon Center fast enough after losing to the player on the S.S. Anne, causing it to die.
