Anime Templates

Finally, an admin comes on. I need some help. You may not have much experience in the anime department, but I'd like you to take a look here → [1] Also, look at the edits to Dark Void, Spacial Rend, and others. Do you think you could shed some light on this, please? This is all very aggrvating. Littlmiget123 14:38, 7 May 2010 (UTC)

I don't know that template as well as I know some others, but if I understand correctly, tc simply changed the parameters of the template so that you don't have to write them anymore... That's all. Now, if the output is all the same, I don't really see the need to make those edits - they add revisions which are saved in the history anyway... But if someone's editing the pages anyway, then yes, cutting down the parameters would be fine. --electAbuzzzz 14:47, 7 May 2010 (UTC)
The way I see it, it should be kept the way it is. It looks professional that way, and the way that tc is putting it, it makes it look sloppy, lazy. I worked really hard on all of those. If it is the same either way, does it really matter if those extra letters are there? Does it slow down Bulbapedia? Littlmiget123 14:58, 7 May 2010 (UTC)
Templates should be programmed to be easy and logical to use. Generally speaking, yes - the lower a page's length is, the less server space it takes, but as I said, if you add a revision just to take off those parameters, you help nothing; it's counter-productive. Either way, nothing tc is doing is harming the hard work you did. He's only removing the parameter names. To put it simply - none of this really matters. --electAbuzzzz 16:46, 7 May 2010 (UTC)
Okay. That's all I needed to know. Thank you for answering my question. Littlmiget123 17:16, 7 May 2010 (UTC)

A vandal, ban evasion of an infiblocked troll, is on the loose. Could you please block it? CuboneKing 16:47, 7 May 2010 (UTC)

I don't remember exactly what year but in my memories it's nearly 10 years from the 1st time I watched Pokemon anime on Vietnamese TV Channel. Everything non-Vietnamese which was broadcast in VN is some kind of difference with in another countries. Most of them have the voice-over instead of VNese dub, especially in the past. That means Pokemon is not the exception.
Pokemon Anime was broadcast in Vietnamese national TV Station, VTV3 Channel (maybe) for 2 initial seasons. Besides, Vinabook published this anime series in VCD from the 1st episode up to Advanced Generation. I'm not sure about Pokemon Diamond & Pearl 'cause I don't like this part of Pokemon series. - unsigned comment from Meo3chan (talkcontribs)

Sorry for the late reply, I didn't really check my mailbox lately. I've translated the text in question and sent it to you but there's nothing that I can do more. I'm not really tied to Wikinezka anymore. --Maxim 13:20, 23 May 2010 (UTC)

Proposed amendment to talk page policy‎

Hello, I have written the first draft of an amendment to the Talk page policy. If you wouldn't mind giving your opinion that would be greatly appreciated. In essence it recommends that section headings on talk pages should always clearly relate to the topic under discussion. If you could also pass this along to the other members of the editorial board that would be most helpful.

I look forward to your comments and criticisms, and welcome any suggestions for revisions to the proposed policy. Thank you for your time.--Beligaronia (talk) 02:17, 22 May 2010 (UTC)

I think the protection of the article Paul's Electivire could be lifted: the episode revealing the evolution has been released already. --FinnishPokéFan92 07:13, 16 July 2010 (UTC)

It probably could, but just for the record, it wasn't protected because the episode hadn't aired. It was (re)protected because someone kept trying to change the picture to one of Gary's Electivire. Werdnae (talk) 07:28, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
The protection will automatically expire tomorrow. We'll wait it out. --electAbuzzzz 08:13, 16 July 2010 (UTC)

OK, now I guess that it would be good time to remove the protection of Brock's Chansey, wouldn't it? --FinnishPokéFan92 12:47, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

Project {Insert name here}?

Osu. I was planning on starting a new project, and wondered if it made any sense to you. I was going to call it...Project Yin-Yang, or Black and White, or something like that. Basically, it would be a Project to write concise, comprehensive articles on all things Black and White, as soon as they release. For instance, on most of the Pokemon for Black and White, there is nothing for "Special Abilities" Why not? If the Pokemon is a Water Type Pokemon, can't we assume that it shoots water from somewhere? Another thing. Musharna, Munna's first evolution, has, quote, "a feature called Dream Smoke which connects somehow with the Pokémon Global Link website when you transfer your save," which, according to, was revealed in the August issue of CoroCoro magazine. Shouldn't that be under Special Abilities, or Trivia? Because the page is protected, I can't fix it myself, but I thought it would be a good idea to start doing something like this, just to make sure that all the information we can get is properly added to the pages, as the information is released? Thanks, and let me know what you think. Tailzoxy96 20:07, 19 July 2010 (UTC) {I know my username says "Tailzoxy96" It's a mucho typo, and it's supposed to be Tailzfoxy96. I don't know if that's fixable...}

Too specific. Meet Project Games, which is also in charge of B&W. Doesn't require another project. --electAbuzzzz 20:10, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
Tailzoxy96: I think you could get TTE to fix your username, as long as you've never changed it before. --TheAnimeSucks 00:13, 20 July 2010 (UTC)
TheAnimeSucks: I would, but I can't add anything to his talk page. So I'm probably screwed. CURSE YOU, WIRELESS KEYBOARD! CURSE YOU! Tailzoxy96 04:26, 20 July 2010 (UTC)
TTEchidna's talk page is actually protected since he's apparently away or busy or something. Buzz or I can fix your name for you, if that's what you want. —darklordtrom 10:15, 20 July 2010 (UTC)
I fixed it by doing the stereotypical thing, making a new one. I don't really know how to delete the old one, though. Oh yeah, I'm here for help on making my user page! I can because I uploaded all of these fancy thangs. I know there's probably a thread for it somewhere, but I'm too stupid to find it. --Tailzfoxy96 08:35, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
You won't be able to create your userpage until you've been around for a while and made a bunch of mainspace contributions. It's part of the userspace policy. BTW your other account will be blocked, seeing as you've got this one spelled right now. —darklordtrom 06:28, 22 July 2010 (UTC)

How can I be able to create my userpage?--TheAnimeSucks 00:05, 20 July 2010 (UTC)

Make more mainspace edits. 梅子 01:26, 20 July 2010 (UTC)

Volume 35 rounds

ello there....

I cannot create PS387 because it's protected until volume 35 is out

it's out I have scans and translated (cept for PS394) althought I dont really need it translated

could you please unprotect it? (Ataro 20:34, 20 July 2010 (UTC))

Is there a way to shrink pictures that I put on my userpage from Photoshop? --DoTheWave 18:44, 4 August 2010 (UTC)

I'm not entirely sure I understand the question... Show me an example. --electAbuzzzz 21:51, 4 August 2010 (UTC)
would i be able to shrink the pictures that aren't from bulbapedia? --DoTheWave 14:53, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
As MAGNEDETH already explained to you: no, that is not possible. --electAbuzzzz 11:39, 6 August 2010 (UTC)

Is there a way I can change font and make it bigger? --DoTheWave 19:06, 4 August 2010 (UTC)

Yes. like this. just look at the coding I used here. --electAbuzzzz 21:51, 4 August 2010 (UTC)

Pokémon in Ireland

Obvious information has kinda dried up a little unfortunately. ATM, we're trying to get some archives to figure out when the anime aired on RTE/Sky1 and what years they did as well.

With everything having been around so long ago as well, I'm unsure as to the state of the TCG and merchandise right now. The only real fact I can think of is that the cards are still stocked in about three different shops in the country. TheChrisD RantsEdits 22:01, 13 August 2010 (UTC)

Alright. Keep trying, we'll add it in time... The article will grow. --electAbuzzzz 10:32, 14 August 2010 (UTC)

Black and White Korean names edits.

Could you add this to the article? 포켓몬스터 블랙 and 포켓몬스터 화이트, the Korean names? Thank you.--444Zekrom 12:33, 12 September 2010 (UTC)

Pardon my lack of knowledge in Korean, I have yet to master Hangul... These are the names of... what? The actual games? Also, I'm gonna need a source. --electAbuzzzz 08:04, 13 September 2010 (UTC)
They're on the page now. Got them from Maxim last night. —darklordtrom 08:45, 13 September 2010 (UTC)
Gracias, O Mighty Trom. --electAbuzzzz 20:16, 14 September 2010 (UTC)

I would just like to tell that Template:Motto leads to the page "Team Rocket's mottos", when the actual page is Team Rocket mottos. Since the template is protected, I wondered if you could fix it. Than you. --FinnishPokéFan92 17:55, 24 October 2010 (UTC)

Glitch Pokémon

Should I delete the pages of all glitch Pokémon that can't be obtained without cheating? Girachu712 21:46, 26 December 2010 (UTC)

Buzzz izzz baK

Hey Buzz, long time no see. Anyway, I discussed it with KG earlier but she referred you to me that you might have a better answer. Since we have a the dub openings articles with their lyrics. Can we have an article for other languages containing the lyrics of the openings in that particular language i.e (take Hindi as an example): "Pokémon songs in Hindi" or List of Pokémon songs in Hindi" or something like that. In this way, we don't have to create a separate article for each song for a language, we can have all the openings/endings (their lyrics, to be more specific) in a single article. What do you say? ♫♪AdyNiz♪♫ 12:50, 19 January 2011 (UTC)

The idea is nice, but we prefer not to. The reason is that we're pushing the notability limits here. I've removed foreign lyrics from song articles in the past because I do not think it's notable to have the lyrics translated into every language. Feel free to do it in your userspace, though. --electAbuzzzz 08:52, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
Cool, I'll start working on it and eventually add it to my userspace. Thanks ♫♪AdyNiz♪♫ 09:04, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
You're still away? Anyway, I've started working on the article and here is its prototype a.k.a beta version. Have a look at it when you've some time, thanks. ♫♪エイディニズ♪♫ 15:48, 4 March 2011 (UTC)

Linking titles

Are you supposed to link titles? Like in Team Charm where the Aegis Cave in In Aegis Cave is linked? - Twisted Ivy 08:36, 27 January 2011 (UTC)

You can. However if the bit that would be linked appears in regular text near the start of the section it's preferred you put the link there instead. Werdnae (talk) 01:17, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

Thanks. Turns out that whoever done the Team Charm page before me already mentioned Aegis Cave, but didn't link it. Twisted Ivy 03:12, 31 January 2011 (UTC)

I started a page about Diamond's Munchlax, as I do to get approval and to transfer it to space the main site?

That's a question for CoolPikachu! since he's Project Manga head and Diamond falls under that. --P S Yライダー 23:46, 25 April 2011 (UTC)

Permission Error?

When I try to make my userpage it says I don't have permission because I haven't edited articles, but I've edited tons of articles. Why? YoshisWorld 21:47, 30 May 2011 (UTC)YoshisWorld

Try waiting a bit. There's a relatively short time restriction component too. It'll show up that you are a member of the "Autoconfirmed users" group in your preferences when you can edit it. Werdnae (talk) 22:29, 30 May 2011 (UTC)

Since you're a EB member, can you tell me when the next featured article(s) will be announced? My personal favorite is ****** ******** (********** ***). Thanks, and sorry for the informal entrance. ♣♣ Ƒǿҫὑṩ ❺❽ ♣♣ 22:26, 13 July 2011 (UTC)

Hi, Focus. electAbuzzzz is unavailable right now, but the EB is discussing the Featured Articles at the moment. We'll hopefully have a decision by next week - it's a bit hard to get everyone together at the same time. Thanks for your patience. —darklordtrom 22:51, 13 July 2011 (UTC)

Articles of two songs

May I know why the articles; "We're a Miracle" and "(Hey You) Free Up Your Mind", turned into a redirect page? These two songs are officially used in the first Pokémon movie. --Ruixiang95 05:27, 28 February 2012 (UTC)

Hi i'm from Romania there's no pokemon in here at all I'd like to join project globe and help, but i'm kinda new. Could u please send me some details????

Country portals

Hello, I have a suggestion for Bulbapedia, related to project Globe. The idea is to make a portal for each country, much like the portals wikipedia has. They would contain basic info about pokemon in each country, upcoming episodes (about a week's, to prevent problems in case there is no user update it often.), and some recent changes etc. What do you think about this idea? --PikaTepig999 18:02, 1 August 2014 (UTC)

Why did you delete your own userpage? Why?? --TheICTLiker4 15:34, 6 October 2019 (UTC)

Given the reason on their page is nothing to see here., it can be assumed they just did not feel a need to have the page anymore. Frozen Fennec 15:55, 6 October 2019 (UTC)

Hey there! Long time

Hi! Hope you are doing well. I'm just messaging to mention that we've started a new Retired Staff usergroup, and you're in it! It's our new way of keeping track and giving thanks to anyone and everyone who has been a part of the Bulbapedia team. There are a number of user rights associated with it that can be discovered here. If you ever find yourself editing again, you are welcome to one of the active usergroups as needed. Thanks for everything you have done! MaverickNate 13:52, 5 July 2023 (UTC)
