Mountain
A mountain is a large, natural land formation rising up from the ground with steep slopes and one or more peaks or summits. A line of mountains forms a mountain range. Volcanoes are mountains with an opening in which lava, ash, and gas can escape. Many mountains provide access to caves, such as those housing Victory Road.
Mountains are often home to Rock-, Ground-, and Steel-type Pokémon. Snow-capped mountains are often home to Ice-type Pokémon. Additionally, certain mountains are home to one or more Legendary Pokémon. Some mountains contain special magnetic fields or other unique properties which allow certain Pokémon to evolve.
