Hyperspace Hole (Japanese: いじげんホール Dimensional Hole) is a damage-dealing Psychic-type move introduced in Generation VI. It is the signature move of Hoopa Confined, but can be used by Hoopa Unbound.

Effect

Hyperspace Hole inflicts damage and bypasses accuracy checks to always hit, unless the target is in the semi-invulnerable turn of a move such as Dig or Fly.

It will also hit the target even if it is protected by Protect, Detect, Spiky Shield, King's Shield, Mat Block, or Baneful Bunker, and lifts the effects of those moves for the remainder of the turn; if it hits a target that is protected by Mat Block, it removes Mat Block from the target's side of the field. It also removes the effects of Quick Guard, Wide Guard, and Crafty Shield from the target's side of the field. Hyperspace Hole cannot remove the effects of protecting moves if it does not affect the target (such as if the target is Dark-type). It hits through a substitute.

Pokémon UNITE

In Pokémon UNITE, Hyperspace Hole is Hoopa's first move. It is obtained by reaching level 4 and upgrading Confusion into it instead of Trick. The user creates a large ring at the designated location, dealing damage to enemies in the area of effect. After 3s, the user and any allies in the area of effect will return to their base, and their movement speed will be increased for a short time. These allies can also warp back to where the ring was created within 3s. An intact ally forward goal zone can also be designated as the location where the ring is created. Creating the ring on this forward goal zone of the top path will also create a ring on the forward goal zone of the bottom path for 6.5s, and vice versa. All allies, including the user, can use these rings to warp between the two goal zones, and their movement speed will be increased for a short time after warping. After an ally warps, there is a 15s cooldown before that ally can use these rings again. If a path's forward goal zone is destroyed, the middle goal zone on the same path will take its place. This move cannot be used on base goal zones. At level 10, this move also increases the movement speed of ally Pokémon near the ring when they are heading toward it. While in Unbound form, this move is replaced by Psybeam.
