Zangoose (Japanese: ザングース Zangoose) is a Normal-type Pokémon. It is well-known for its ongoing feud against Seviper.

Special abilities
Zangoose's Immunity ability makes it immune to poison. This is possibly an evolution that was developed over time to deal with the fangs and tail of its nemesis, Seviper.
Behavior
Zangoose are bitter enemies with Seviper, the two will battle each other to the bitter end. It is suggested this rivalry has lasted since the beginning of time.
Habitat
Unknown, though this Pokémon is found on Route 114 in Hoenn, so presumably grasslands with sparse trees and mountains.

In the anime
Zangoose first appeared in Zig Zag Zangoose under the control of Nicolai.
Another Zangoose appeared in the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 2 special as the leader of Team Razor Wind.
In DP052 it is discovered that Paul found Chimchar being attacked by a group of Zangoose. Because of the amazing power it used fighting the Zangoose, Paul decided to capture it. Later. Chimchar was to fight another Zangoose and nearly lost to it.
In DP053 another group of Zangoose appeared before Team Rocket and fought with Jessie's Seviper. Later. Chimchar obtained the courage to defeat them.
