Damp (Japanese: しめりけ Moisture) is an Ability introduced in Generation III.

Effect

In battle

Damp prevents all Pokémon from using Self-Destruct, Explosion, and Mind Blown; if a Pokémon attempts to use one of these moves, it will fail and the user will not faint or take damage. Additionally, Damp prevents the Ability Aftermath from doing damage when the Pokémon with Aftermath faints.

Damp affects non-adjacent Pokémon in Triple Battles.

Outside of battle

Damp has no effect outside of battle.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon

Blast Seed becomes ineffective in the presence of a Pokémon with Damp.

	If the opponent tries to use Selfdestruct of Explosion near Defense Forme Deoxys, the opponent with start to glow brightly, and so will Defense Forme Deoxys's core. The opponent then stops glowing and it cannot explode.
