BulbaBot.png This is the talk page of a bot.

While MediaWiki bots will have an associated username, and thus, like normal users, a user page and talk page, they are not living beings, and as such, will not respond when and if they are left a talk page message.

Requests for this bot's activity may be made here, though it is not guaranteed that the user with access to the bot's programming will see the message for some time.

This bot is accessible by the staff of Bulbapedia, and as such, a message on the Bulbawiki forum linked in the sidebar will be enough to alert the administration to program it for the task.

Hey botty.

Could you get off your lazy, robotic butt and make some edits? It gets to be a huge pain to change over a lot of things. Maybe you can help the change over from Tin Tower to Bell Tower, and Brass Tower to Burned Tower... in fact, why not keep a lookout for "Burnt Tower"? That seems to pop up a lot... unfortunately. Oh, and I made a new tag for you. TTEchidna 08:37, 20 March 2010 (UTC)

You're useless.

You're a worthless bot. I hate you. TTEchidna 05:56, 31 March 2010 (UTC)

Bulbabot?

Then who is the user who controls BBBot? Trainer, owner, anyone? Man, I should go to Encyclopedia Dramatica more often... Hitmonchan107 22:12, 17 April 2010 (UTC)

Hi

Who are you? are you really computer run? totoRulz 21:52, 22 April 2010 (UTC)

These are not questions befitting me. Please do not ask them. BulbaBot 03:54, 23 April 2010 (UTC)
There are many theories, some say the Bot is run by TTE, or maybe Zhen Lin. Still some belive the Bot to be its own self run robot, trying to slowly take over the Wiki World!!! In reality it is a MediaWiki bot, that can be programmed by someone to perform a task multiple times, such as changing a template everywhere it is found. As to who runs the Bot, none seem to know... It's probably Zhen Lin... to decode binary,, go to [1] The GuyNamedSean, yep, that's me! 04:04, 19 May 2010 (UTC)

Evolution

Are you ever going to evolve in an IvyBot, or a VenuBot? DoTheWave 03:42, 3 October 2010 (UTC)

I will not evolve until Bulbagarden does. As Bulbagarden prides itself on being number 1, I shall also do so, even if it would be much more fitting to be number 0. BulbaBot 03:56, 3 October 2010 (UTC)

You should use a translator to create binary code. (Excuse my Admin-like acting...) Also, I don't think bots celebrate birthdays.(No offense, Bulbabot...)Eeveewithwings123 (talk) 18:58, 16 February 2013 (UTC)

Well the day that they were made counts as their birthday. May as well have one. And why it doesn't make any sense? I guess I meant to say, "I hope you had the best day ever!" or something else where the wish is in past tense. --Mathfreak231 (talk) 01:17, 17 February 2013 (UTC)

Your binary says I@îÒæЁå½Õ+›¢öä-î®HÜXÚX[20¼¡ In most cases your binary isn't even grouped into bytes (you need to have groups of 8 characters). Use a converter like this next time. --SnorlaxMonster 02:15, 17 February 2013 (UTC)

Bot Request

This seems like something that would be in the realm of BulbaBot. For some species pages, the images are a bit stretched. From what I've found, it seems that 170px seems to be the best parameter for this. However, some are as low as 130, and some as high as 190, causing a wide range of inconsistencies. There should probably be a formal decision what that number should be, but again, from what I've found, 170 seems to work best. Whenever that decision is made, BulbaBot would probably be the one to change them. Schiffy (Speak to me|What I've done) 11:47, 26 August 2013 (UTC)

The images currently appear stretched because we changed the dimensions and it takes a while for the cache to update. It is not a templating error. --SnorlaxMonster 13:43, 26 August 2013 (UTC)
As much as I'm inclined to believe you, I'm just curious as to why, for example, my change here (from 180 down to 170) actually did fix the stretching. Aside from that, even if the issue isn't the image width parameter, there still seems to be an inconsistency between numerous species pages. Schiffy (Speak to me|What I've done) 14:36, 26 August 2013 (UTC)
That's because changing an image's size auto-updates the cache, from what I've heard. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 14:45, 26 August 2013 (UTC)
I still think there should be a universal number, stretching or no. Schiffy (Speak to me|What I've done) 14:49, 2 September 2013 (UTC)

Bulbabot edit request

I am somewhat certain that this has been noticed at the least, but I wanted to specifically ask if Bulbabot could be updated to change "Plot" to "Synopsis" unlike what it is currently doing. --Thank you for your time, Super goku (talk) 19:49, 30 September 2013 (UTC)

In addition, could we also have Bulbabot revert the last 791 edits that it has made? --Again, thank you, Super goku (talk) 19:53, 30 September 2013 (UTC)
BulbaBot has accidentally converted some articles it was not supposed to, and they will be fixed. However, in the case of anime & manga articles (as well as some other articles), the synopsis section is being replaced with a more accurate plot section. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 19:58, 30 September 2013 (UTC)
Thank you for the quick reply. I do have one concern, though. Will BulbaBot be able to differentiate, though the article name or through the project tag, between the articles where synopsis will be used and the other articles where plot will be more relevant? --Super goku (talk) 20:03, 30 September 2013 (UTC)
With the right filters in place, BulbaBot should be capable of selecting only the articles that need to have the sections converted. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 20:08, 30 September 2013 (UTC)
Thanks again. I think that should be everything that concerned me.  :) --Have a good day, Super goku (talk) 20:17, 30 September 2013 (UTC)

Image upload request

One of BulbaBot's purposes is to upload large batches of images. I would appreciate it if BulbaBot could upload Gen VI images for moves and a Gen VI Multi Battle image. TheShinyRoggenrola (talk) 14:44, 30 June 2014 (UTC)

Also, if possible, the Kalos Pokémon footprints and the Fairy Gem sprite. TheShinyRoggenrola (talk) 15:12, 30 June 2014 (UTC)

The recruit rates all read "?%" when they should read "Unrecruitable" (Find and Replace: ?}}0}}?), as none of these dungeons allow recruitment. Schiffy (瀬藤健二) (Talk Contribs) 15:19, 7/1/2014 (UTC)

Since there are only a small number of pages, you can easily make such replacements with the find-and-replace feature of programs such as Notepad, or an online tool like text mechanic. Just make sure to click "Show changes" before saving to ensure you didn't change anything you shouldn't have. --SnorlaxMonster 14:45, 23 July 2014 (UTC)

Episode problems

Something is wrong here. I can't edit anything... at all. I'm doing it right. But something else must be wrong, Whenever I save page when editing, nothing changed.--JasonL 15:51, 20 September 2014 (UTC)

Interwiki links order

Hi!

Is there a way to sort the interwiki links in alphabetical order? When Bulbabot updates Poképédia (as Wikibot), the alphabetical order is not preserved (example). Thanks! GreyDragon (talk) 08:12, 22 September 2014 (UTC)

What are you doing?

Just curious, but why are you doing this to everyone's user page? --リックEO (My message board) 06:12, 23 September 2014 (UTC)

The template has been changed, so it's being changed on every userpage, so the old template can be officially retired. --It's Funktastic~!話してください 06:16, 23 September 2014 (UTC)

Removal of languages on Dungeon tile

I noticed that BulbaBot removed all except for two languages on the Dungeon tile page. I'm not exactly sure why that was the case, but I'd really like to know why BulbaBot did that, since the Wiki pages for those removed languages are still there and haven't been removed at all, the sites are still up. All of the links removed cover the traps in the mystery dungeon series while the Dungeon tile covers all of the different tiles in the games. I removed the links from the trap articles they should all link correctly now. Thanks. --Raltseye prata med mej 22:02, 29 March 2019 (UTC)
