An appealing move that can be used repeatedly without boring the audience.

Freeze-Dry (Japanese: フリーズドライ Freeze-Dry) is a damage-dealing Ice-type move introduced in Generation VI.

Effect

This move effect may be in need of research.
Reason: Is Freeze-Dry super effective damage against Water reduced by Solid Rock/Filter/Prism Armor?
You can discuss this on the talk page.

Freeze-Dry deals damage and has a 10% chance of freezing the target. If used on a Water-type Pokémon, this move ignores the type effectiveness of this move's type against Water and treats it as being super effective against Water types instead (even during Inverse Battles or if Freeze-Dry's type is changed). If Freeze-Dry's type is already super effective against Water (due to being an Inverse Battle or if Freeze-Dry's type is changed), it will still only be 2× effective against Water. The type effectiveness of Freeze-Dry's type against any other types the target has is determined normally.
