Route 224 (Japanese: 224ばんどうろ Route 224) is route in eastern Sinnoh. It is connected to Victory Road at its western end. While normally a dead end, the eastern end of the route can be extended onto Seabreak Path via Oak's Letter.
Route description
Route 224 is a narrow peninsula on the same island as Victory Road, stretching to the east. It is described as a miniature of the Sinnoh region. At its end is a white rock which Professor Oak says, if the player has Oak's Letter, has a counterpart in the Kanto region. This unlocks the special event in which players can capture Shaymin.

Trivia
- Route 224 is one of only three numbered routes in the Pokémon world that is a dead end, the others being Route 25 in Kanto and Route 18 in Unova.
- However, with Oak's Letter, this route can be extended onto the Seabreak Path.
- This route has one of three movie cameos in the game. The aforementioned Easter egg is Ace Trainer Rebecca, a Trainer who analyzes battles using her laptop. She challenges the player with her Metagross. However, this cameo was not recognized by translators, as English versions call her Jamie (in Japanese version her name is ヒトミ Hitomi, like in the movie).
